    2/4/25 birthday night

My best friend and I were in Tampa for my birthday trip and we originally wanted to go to the Beacon rooftop however they're extorting you at the JW valet parking 50$ I'm like uhm to go up and spend more on overpriced drinks no. They said they would validate parking for half off ... still a no for me, so we ended up at the Epicurean hotel which was also valet parking but was only 10$ edge was understated cool for me. I liked the vibes but it wasn't too busy (it was only a Tuesday night around 6 pm) I liked it because it was a pretty atmosphere not super great views but still nice and I absolutely loved my drink it was under the zero proof cocktails passion fruit deliciousness. I would return.

Stopped by for a drink at this rooftop before a nearby dinner reservation! The valet is complimentary before 7pm which was perfect! The valets were very kind and even kept my car at the front since I was only going to be an hour or so (make sure to tip them! :) ) The manager pointed me to the elevator towards the back which goes directly to the roof! It was great and beautiful views! They have a covered and uncovered portion, which makes it great in the event of rain. They also have a nice happy hour which I wasn't expecting! The bartenders were very nice and it was open seating. You ordered at the bar and could sit where you like! Great spot for a stop on a date night or catching up with friends!

Beautiful bar/hotel in Tampa however very dead and not that many people visiting. The food is pricy on the bar menu but tasted very salty. They can definitely improve their food. Vibes are excellent though and the location is close to a very nice steakhouse across the street. Worth a visit!

This rooftop bar was a pleasant surprise after visiting the Elevage restaurant downstairs! It wasn't crowded, so a nice location to grab a drink and enjoy the outdoors. We just ordered champagne and relaxed. They may have similar happy hour options as downstairs, but I didn't receive a menu at the bar. You can't see much of the sky view, due to the brick wall surrounds, unless you stand up; so don't expect panoramic views. But a nice combo with the two restaurants in the same building.

Too hot and I hate to be severed in plastics cups when going to a rooftop and to add to insult to pay $17 For plastic I could just stay home !

Came up for a drink after dinner elsewhere on a Tuesday night. Place had a few people but quickly filled up. Very casual place. Most people in groups. Loved the rooftop view. Great place.

I really enjoyed EDGE. Another rooftop bar in Tampa with a great view! They have plenty of seating and they don't have any reserved tables so it's first come first serve. We got there around 7:50pm and it wasn't that busy yet so we got seats and drinks were make rather quickly. I had a passion margarita and it had a little kick to it but refreshing at the same time with the mixer they use. It was a very good margarita and went down very nicely. I would absolutely recommend the EDGE for a night out!

Cool vibe, nice bartenders, okay view. Giving it a 5 starts because the spicy Margarita was probably one of the best I've ever had. Would definitely go back just for the drink. Went on a Saturday night during a holiday weekend and it wasn't packed, but there were barely any seats. 2 here and there. Regardless, the bar was not extremely busy so it was a great night. We parked down the street and walked.

Sooo the EDGE Rooftop Cocktail Lounge was relaxing with a chill vibe to have a drink. I was searching for a rooftop bar given the COVID situation. I was able to grab my own table next to the pretty views. The drink selection was good but pricy. I was okay with paying for the ambience and the drinks were tasty. They have a few finger food items but I ended up eating at the restaurant downstairs after. The waitresses were very attentive and checked on me often. The staff all had their mask on and I felt comfortable. Overall I will be back. What was ordered: Senorita & Bayshore Gimlet Cocktails, and Shrimp Cocktail Senorita = Hint of Yummy spice Bayshore Gimlet = Refreshing end Shrimp Cocktail = Can't go wrong

I went to this rooftop bar with some friends after a dinner with friends. I had never been and it's conveniently located off Howard Ave. I ordered a beer and it wasn't too expensive. The staff was friendly and it wasn't too busy for a week night.

    E75

This is such a cute spot with great drink options. I enjoyed the E75 which was so good! The bar itself is a bit small but they have a lot of cozy seating spots. This isn't my go to rooftop bar in Tampa but it's definitely worth checking out! They normally open at 5 but the day I went there happened to be rain at around 4 this caused them to push opening back until 6:30. When we arrived at 6 the front desk staff told us it would open at 6 so head right back up. However it did not open for 30 more minutes so we had to wait in the hallway with no seating area for quite a while. Keep in mind if you go: if there is lightning in the area they will close the bar and kick you out. The only parking option is valet and if you leave after 7 it costs $5.

    Sam S.

They closed much earlier than the hours listed and we're really trying to hurry us out. My mojito tasted pretty weak and honestly not like much of anything. The ambience was nice but the views weren't much to look at, especially when comparing it to other rooftops I've been to.

    Bayshore Gimlet mmmmmmm!
    Alexis H.

The Edge is a great place to go before you "treat-yo-self" at Bern's! We loveeeee a good rooftop and they can be hard to find in Tampa. This one has a great vibe, with mediocre views. We both had the Bayshore Gimlet (or two...) & it was DELISH! Mark the prices down a notch and I'm sold.

It's got that all-around fun, energetic atmosphere that makes it a solid choice for drinks. Not sure how it is during the week, but it would make for a fun date night spot to grab some cocktails. That said, I had a real hang-up the last time I went with my girlfriend around Christmas. They tried to hit us with a $10 cover just to get in, on top of $15-20 cocktails. I don't mind paying for a nice spot, but the cover felt absurd, especially since it wasn't even busy. The bouncer said we could make a reservation to avoid it, so I did...and then he made us stand outside forever before letting us in. At that point, we should've just left, but since my friend had never been, we stuck it out to try the themed Christmas cocktails. Once inside, there was a two-drink minimum per person, which is kind of crazy. It feels like they jip you either way...cover or no cover, minimum spend or not. While waiting outside (for no real reason, since it was empty), we chatted with a party of six who came straight from Ash (the sister restaurant upstairs). They'd just spent over $1,000 on their meal and were still getting charged a cover to enter Alter Ego. That's poor business, don't force extra fees to guarantee money when good music, drinks, and vibes should bring people in naturally and make them want to spend. There's plenty of places on Water Street with great (and I'd say better) cocktails where you're not forced into minimums or covers. The Christmas cocktail menu was disappointing too, poor selections and way too sugary. Love the potential here, but the strict policies really turned me off and made me want to go elsewhere next time.

Due to the error of their end we asked for him to streamline our names on the waitlist and he became combative and told us that he was not comfortable serving us and asked us to leave. We spoke to the manager and they reiterated that they believe we had cancelled our reservation despite having proof that the hostess was the issue. Eventually after speaking to the general manager on duty he was able to magically find multiple open spots for us at the bar and was completely comfortable with serving us despite the allegations made by the hostess. The ambiance was nice. A lot of eclectic paintings on the walls. And loved the outfits of the servers. Very 20's speakeasy. There is a live jazz band that started performing at 7 pm. They were good but at some points it was a bit difficult to speak and listen to those at your table unless you got really close. My meal hit the spot. We started with a charcuterie board for the table. It had a lot of great options like dried apricots, actual honeycomb pieces, and my most favorite cheese, some Brie cheese. The only thing was there was only 4 pieces of bread, one for each of us, which wasn't enough but I guess it made sense not to fill us up too much. For my main meal I had the sweet potato salad which was very tasty and the sweet potato risotto, which a little spicy kick. The only thing I missed was the Brussels sprouts and potatoes but was told that was from the previous chef. But they serve you enough so you definitely will have left overs. Not a big fan of eating in the lounge areas, those are best just for drinks and maybe desserts. But it's definitely a great place to people watch.
