Our waitress was great. She stopped back often to check on us. She explained that they have been at this location for several years. The restrooms were in the area where they make the wine and beer. I love getting a look at others production area. Nice place to visit and relax. They have some games, nice stage in the back and a fun area to sit and enjoy wine or beer.

They have fun names for their wine like Drop Dead Red, Bad Girl Blanc, Wine Bunny Blush, as well as a Pride line (plus more typical malbecs, cab, pinots, etc). They recently accommodated an unusual request from me. I was able to pick up a couple bottles on a day they're normally closed. They were responsive via text and made it easy for me, making my bad planning into a non-issue. Super grateful for that!

We've attended a variety of events here: holiday markets, author meet and greets, halloween candy pairings, club parties, and tastings. The owners are constantly experimenting with different foods to go with each year's vintage. This is a true working winery - the main space is sometimes full of grapes being processed, so seating is sometimes in a side room, and sometimes bellying up to the counter in the main room. Hip Chicks is an urban wine institution, and Portland is the better for it.
