three glasses of wine on a table

What a hidden gem! We went here on a whim and loved the entire experience. The aesthetic here is very modern, comfy and historic! Plenty of articles to read up on the history of the place. The bar looked amazing and the bartender was nice enough to give us a tour. We ordered a flight and it was a great price for some really good liquor. Outside is a food truck with a great selection of food to enjoy. What a lovely experience to have discovered this place. We will definitely be back!

I don't always take the same route when passing through Oregon City, but Trail Distilling is likely to increase the chances of taking Rt 213 the next time... Starting with a view of the late afternoon light hitting Mt Hood in the view from the parking lot, and moving on to a relaxing tasting room, this was a delightful spot to visit. Everything we tried was smooth and highly drinkable - my wife doesn't normally lean towards whisky as a drink of choice, but found their First City Whisky to be a revelation. I'm not usually a fan of gin, but the Trillium Gin (one of 3 varieties made here) was worth picking up a bottle to take home with us. They've done a lovely job taking a light industrial building and giving it rustic touches to make it a fun place to visit, and to acquaint yourself with their spirits.

When you're looking for your next top Oregon Spirit, there's no shortage of standout bottles made at Trail Distilling. Trail Distilling, proudly publicized as the first legal distillery of its type since prohibition, is nestled just off Hwy 213 in Oregon City. Oregon City became the first U.S. city west of the Mississippi and was once the capital of the Oregon Territory for nearly three years. So it is no surprise that it's the First Distillery in the First City west of the Mississippi River. We wondered in by chance. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the warmth and texture of the space. With the exception of a few pieces of furniture the place appeared to be styled and designed to transport you back into the 1930's. The paint colors, tones, window treatments, curtains, lighting and decor were carefully crafted and developed to fulfill the needs of anyone looking for a complete distillery experience. The spirits stored inside the oak barrels filled the space with a pleasant and warming aroma that was cozy and inviting for the chilly season. We were quickly greeted and offered a tour. We enjoyed navigating the entire space and learning about Trail Distilling's rich history and the significance of its precise location. Trail Distilling is a certified farm distillery. Their spirits are handcrafted, beginning with clear Cascadian glacial water and naturally-harvested grains. Their internationally award winning products include vodka, gin, whiskey and rum as well as fortification of wine and ciders. We decided to do the tasting flight experience. The primary benefit of ordering a flight is to sample a variety of available spirits. We started with First City Vodka, handcrafted from wheat, triple filtered and passed through limestone for a soft palate. The first thing I notice is the aroma. Pleasant and enticing. I wasn't immediately cringing at the strong ethanol nose but instead I'm leaning in and enjoying the slightly sweet vanilla aroma. The palate is incredibly crisp and clean. We could easily sip this one neat. Afterwards we sampled the Trillium Gin. It's a citrus and floral forward gin that contains 14 botanicals. Not sure if it was the botanicals or the slight peppery notes but something about this spirit was surprisingly good. The lingering flavours were pleasant and light. Next we sampled the Trillium Pink Pinot Gin. This gin is finished in Oregon Pinot Noir Cask for a minimum of two months. While unflavoured, I find it tastes a little sweet as it washes through my mouth. Perhaps it's the soft fruity Pinot and the florals but it works. Go traditional and sip this one neat. Lastly we moved on to the darker spirits. And both were exemplary. The First City Whiskey has personality. The aroma is pleasantly sweet and slightly woody with notes of vanilla. The color of this whiskey is russet muscat. On the palate, I tasted prominent flavor notes of vanilla custard, with notes of caramel and toast. And the First City Rum was terrific. There's a little bit of funk to this rum that is apparent the second you take a whiff. There are aromas like brown sugar and vanilla in the background laying down a base, but what really stands out is the burnt sugars and toasted caramels. Taking a sip, hands down the most complex and interesting rum I've ever tried. Initially, there are some baking spices up front, coupled with some sweet and sugary molasses, but this quickly develops with some expected vanilla and gains some fruity touches. I taste some ripened tropical fruits all of which is tempered with some oak wood for depth and complexity. It settles nicely on the pallet and finishes like all of the other award winning spirits. Highly recommend visiting. Prices are reasonable, Spirits are exceptional, atmosphere is lively and property does offer food options from a local food truck .

Just happened to be driving by and saw the sign. What a find! Colin did a great job teaching and serving us. Would've never thought to drink a flight with straight up vodka, rum, whiskey, and gins but they were all so smooth and tasty. It was personalized service but as we warned him, when we come, people follow. Hoping for food the next time we drive by. Maybe some ? Looking forward to our next visit!

Love this place. All of their spirits are good. I'm a whiskey guy and I like it enough to invest in a barrel. All of the staff that we have met so far have been nothing but excellent to us. The atmosphere is one of a kind and very warm.

Fabulous spirits! Personable owners and staff. A favorite date night spot. Highly recommend dropping by for a tasting...even better take a cocktail class.

During our experience, school administration provided inaccurate or misleading information during the enrollment process. This included representations about the gender composition of incoming classes and the grade levels typically offered. The school also lacks adequate training, policies, and structural support for a diversity of learners. Families whose children require accommodations or flexibility--including those supported by physician documentation--may find that exceptions to stated policies are not respected, even when based on medical need. Overall, the gap between how the school presents itself and the day-to-day reality was significant. I can't say enough good things about the teachers, staff and families that make up the CLASS community. More importantly, the teachers and staff truly care about each student and are highly dedicated to their success. I'm truly amazed at the job they have done fostering our son's emotional and academic development. They've helped instill a sense of confidence in him that I never thought would be possible. Most parents are also very involved in the school (and several of the teachers/staff have kids at the school) which helps create a true sense of community. The math teacher should not be teaching young children- she is rude, doesn't communicate well, she mocks the children (as I witnessed in online class) and my child who normally loved school, didn't want to go to math because of how rude she was.
