We enjoyed the show and felt comfortable in the performance space. This venue has no parking lot. You need to street park or pay for garage parking.

I hesitated to leave this review because the spotlight program does not seem affiliated with the community theatre, but the issue seemed pressing because of the young children within the program. My littlest does not want to do Annie Jr. and I believe it is solely because of the chaotic behavior from both the director and many of the older helpers. Next time I think I would like to sit in that section. It's a little smaller, less seats and closer to the stage than where we sat. The play we saw was called, Half Time. It was a true story about older people who auditioned for the half time show for a basketball game. It was funny, entertaining and sad all at the same time. The actors did an amazing job. As far as the singing, some were better than others, but I think part of the problem was, some of the microphones were not as loud as others. It was still really awesome, and made the reality of getting older sobering and funny at the same time. I am not sure how long this show is running, but if it is still at this theater, you should go see it. I was able to only sneak two photos, since we weren't allowed to take pictures. I would go back to see other shows here. It's a great theater located in the great town of Port Jefferson!

We had the pleasure of going to our first show this past weekend, which was the closing weekend for Small Mouth Sounds. I really liked how unpretentious this theater is, with the super high-quality acting and minimal fanfare. The show we saw was in stage two, which made the experience even more intimate. I appreciated the concession stand at the entrance. Drinks are allowed inside. On this night, the crowd tended to be on the older side. No problem with that, but it was noticeable. If you're being somewhat spontaneous, definitely go for the standby tickets. Even on this closing weekend, we found out about an hour after getting on the standby list that we had scored two tickets for the same evening. And the tickets that were given up happened to be second row, which was lucky and awesome. I am definitely excited to come back for more shows.
