The staff was extremely helpful in finding us a kayak that suited our experience level. I got a sit in kayak. It was $10 per person for half an hour. They have a large selection of other gear. The water was nice and calm. Parking was tricky since the lot fills up. Plan ahead to get a parking spot during peak hours.

I had a great Saturday afternoon in Foster City thanks to California Windsurfing! My friend and I rented a two-person kayak together for $10 per half an hour for each person. The process is very smooth: you hand over your drivers license, get fitted in your life vest, get your paddle, the employees help you board the kayak, and it's smooth sailing from there. We had so much fun paddling around the lagoon, the weather was very peaceful and we even managed to get a few Polaroid shots in. Even though we were initially worried, neither of us fell in and our phones remained dry and safe! I'm glad that such an experience exists in the Peninsula. It's great for both family and friends, and manages to get an arm workout in too!

Enjoyed a sunny Thursday afternoon in Foster City on a pedal boat thanks to California Windsurfing! Got there right at opening and staff were patient and polite in helping me get on the pedal boat. Rate is $10/half an hour and they take your driver's license and payment before you go out on the water. The directions for steering the boat are written on the boat itself and it's super easy to navigate as you pedal. This was my first time pedal boating and I will definitely be back! It was a great experience!

Came here for the first time the other day. It was really fun would recommend getting over 30 minutes because time flies by soo quickly. Service is nice and social. Nobody here makes you feel like they're bothered by you and gives helpful tips.

Took a kayak lesson here recently and really enjoyed myself. The lady taking the reservations and managing the place was very friendly and helpful. I called a few days in advance and she was really quick in getting me the desired time slot for my lesson. My kayak instructor was helpful and fun too - taught me some good techniques which gave me confidence to navigate a kayak by myself. They do not accept credit cards (cash only) which made it slightly harder. And I do think the prices are a little higher but they are the only option around in this area, there isn't a lot of competition.

    Perfect day on the water!

After leaving our boat untouched for six months, I ran into battery issues the day we needed it for a gathering with friends. I hit a wall troubleshooting online and took a chance calling Michael on a Sunday. Not only did he invite me to come by, but he already had the cables I needed waiting when I arrived. Rather than simply ringing up the sale, he walked me through the fix, explained the risks, and made sure I knew what to watch out for. When I discovered the damage was worse than expected -- acid corrosion on additional cables -- Michael had already left for the day, but still called into the shop so his colleagues could get me what I needed. He also answered my text messages asking him more questions. Thanks to him, we had a wonderful cruise with our friends that afternoon. It's genuinely reassuring to know that a knowledgeable, generous Duffy dealer is nearby -- not just when you're buying, but whenever you need real help.

Their surfskis are super nice. They have V5, V8s, V10s. You can start all the way from beginner and make your way to the olympics on V10s. The boats are in brand new condition. The paddles are grat. I was mainly an outrigger guy, so I loved this place. The people in the club were great. Mainly Chris Flynn, Operations Director. He let me fix the outriggers and paddle them. When there was an issue with a former club taking away my paddle he made them give it back. Anything you ask and he is happy to give it a try, you need parts, classes. The last time we rafted Middle Fork American was on a cold, gloomy, drizzling day in October 2019 - so we had to give it another go in warmer weather. This time around was just as memorable. Two of us in the boat ended up falling out in the water at Tunnel Chute, which happened so fast that I barely knew what had happened - thankfully, there was a nice calmer stretch of water right after through the river tunnel, so we were easily able to get back into the raft. (Thank you to our guide, Troy, for hauling me back in, and for being an awesome guide in general!) Plus this was one of the photographer spots, so the action was all captured for us to laugh about later. Later, after our tasty sandwich picnic lunch, we had a few unexpected events happen, starting from the portage down Ruck-a-Chucky Falls. Shout-out to all three guides in our group - Troy, Shea, and AJ - for handling things so calmly and getting us all back where we were supposed to be! We had plenty of calm stretches floating down the river as well. The canyon is beautiful and quite peaceful. We saw a ton of dragonflies flying above our heads, masked ducks chilling on rocks and diving underwater, and wild grapes and blackberries growing alongside the river. We'll be back again for another trip with All-Outdoors! Maybe we'll try a 2-day or 3-day trip next time.
