However, one concern that has become more noticeable over the past year is the lack of enforcement on the main streets. There are frequently vehicles speeding through busy areas where families and children are walking, and many drivers seem more focused on showing off how loud their cars are than driving safely. It's not uncommon to hear multiple cars revving their engines within just a few minutes. This creates a very unsafe environment and takes away from what should be a welcoming community space. Increasing police presence, even for short periods of time, would make a noticeable difference and help deter this behavior. I truly believe Victoria Gardens is a great place, but addressing this issue would go a long way in keeping it safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Typical clothing franchises. And a pretty regular food court. I never really thought this was a nice mall but now it feels like this place is giving more a ghetto vibe. I personally wouldn't come here often to celebrate /or host important events, unless necessary. I would avoid this place on the weekends or holidays if you don't like crowds. Super cute. One time years and years ago, they had a scavenger hunt for Christmas where you search around the mall to take photos with your phone for an ornament. I've seen so many shops come and go here and pieces of my childhood through adolescence such as the Disney Store (I remember spending time here looking through that giant plushie pile), the merry go round, Surf City Squeeze (always thought their mascot looked cool, now replaced with a Pop Mart vending machine), Nothing But Silver (went here lots with my mom and aunts), Sanrio Surprise, Amapola Deli and Market (crazy they tried to open a market in here), the hermit crab vendor, McDonald's that my mom would always get my brother and I and the vendors that would try to sell stickers at our table, the dollar store on the upper floor above Baskin Robbins, the used bookstore and so much more. Huge chunk of nostalgic memories for me, but today it's decent mall with most things that you would need. Some shops I go to often to get gifts or pick up something for myself, See's (thanks for closing PH location), Hot Topic, Bath and Body Works, Miniso, etc. At least the Tilt arcade here is still open. Go see how much ama zon is worth now. I digress. The mall is a community center for gathering. Of course there are parks, but what about when it rains or it's too hot outside ? Come on we live in the valley. The summer can be very hot and we need to geo somewhere to cool down. Right ? The mall needs more visitors to stay alive. The Grove has a huge but very busy parking structure, so while you may have to journey to the upper levels, you will eventually find parking. Although some restaurants will validate part of the parking fees, be prepared to pay somewhere between $10 and $30 depending on how long you stay and which stores you visit. Their validation rules are fairly complex and not straightforward, so be sure to read all the fine print. They also have Valet parking on premises. Venue 4 stars: Nice modern open air set up with a Nordstrom, Zara and H&M and a bunch of smaller stores, an AMC movie theater, a Barnes and Noble, a Cheesecake Factory, and a variety of coffee shops and restaurants to fit most tastes and budgets. One catch being that the Grove parking lot cannot be validated by the Farmers Market stores and vice versa. Once you are on premises you can use the trolly to move from one end of the venue to the other. Also keep in mind that the Original Farmers Market is literally next door and attached to the Grove, which dramatically increases your food options.

Going back to the parking lot was a challenge, since there isn't a parking attendant around, there isn't service you can get help right away. Parking price is expensive if you stay more than 2 hours, I suggest coming for the 2 hours and validate it at a store or if you end up staying longer and reaching full price (max daily), might as well spend the feast of the day there since they already have everything you need for lunch and dinner. FYI, driving out of the 4th floor took some time so if you're in a rush, so is everyone else and some cars go so fast you might not see them in time around sharp turns and yield signs!

The Christmas decorations were wonderful and this past weekend they had the Lunar New Year celebration, with many additional pop-up vendors in the street (closed off for pedestrians). We enjoyed walking, talking and exploring all the additional vendors and also the people (and dog) watching was top notch. Judging by the crowd turnout, I would say that this was a successful event, and I hope they add more events like this going forward. Many great restaurants, shops, craft stores and plaza entertainment. Water fountains and train rides for the kids (and some adults too). Whether you come here to dine, shop or just hang out and enjoy the weather with others, this place is a solid choice.
