Came to redeem a free cone promotion sent out for Mother's Day just to be denied because they were 'too busy' for Mother's Day.

My mother placed an order with this location on 1/26 (early) AM for a delivery yesterday. The information she was given to track the status (provided via email) showed the delivery as "one more delivery" for over three hours and wasn't actually delivered until after 8 PM - which, frankly, is unacceptable. When she called this morning, the worker (Michelle) said they don't guarantee times and don't provide tracking since they don't have GPS on their trucks. HOWEVER... the email sent upon order absolutely provides delivery tracking. Then when my mother asked for a corporate number, she was given the number to a franchisee support number and they don't take customer calls. Finding a corporate phone number has been near impossible. A submission has been entered via website but no response as of yet. read more

I ordered flowers and an edible arrangement for my girlfriend to be delivered to her on Sunday 12/28 while she was at work, it wasn't delivered until 12/29! My girlfriend just received it today 12/30 because she was off yesterday! Flowers were wilted and Edible arrangements ruined the surprise!! When I called the store, I was told that they had a power outage and spoke to the store Manager Michelle who claims to have called and texted me! Staff was very kind, helping me set up my order even though I had not gotten an email from the membership club this year. They had it ready within 30 minutes, and pick-up was extremely easy! I order a fruit platter, it was not fresh. I did pick up in an hour on 06/21/24. I made the review not even less than 24 hours after the pick up. The banana's was old. The strawberries were different sizes. The pineapples were dry and old and three different color's. The 6 piece fruit looked good but the bananas were bad. They need to do a better job. This was 10 days after the hurricane, so I thought since their website was taking orders that they were back in businesses. They took the money out of my bank account and sent me a confirmation email. Later in the day when I realized that my friend did not receive the fruit or flowers, I started trying to contact them with ZERO luck. The kicker was the next day I got an email from EA, and it was a survey on how they did with my order???? Too Funny. Well finally a lady calls me a few days later and wants to refund my money which was very kind of her, but I asked her if she thought that was going to make it right, and she said yes that is all she could do. I am very disappointed with this Edible Arrangements location. Background-I recently relocated to Houston from New England. I use Edible Arrangements regularly as an easy gift idea for all occasions, and have done so for many years and am familiar with their usual level of service and quality. Last week (the week leading up to Christmas 2017) I happen to be on the receiving end of 3 Edible Arrangements. The one received from this Rice Blvd location was a $72 Holiday Arrangement. When we went to eat it, my 4 year old daughter bit into a cantaloupe and said it tasted bad. When I asked her what she meant, she said it tasted like the bathroom. Obviously concerned about the response, I took a bite of her cantaloupe. It didn't taste like what I was expecting from her description, but it did have a chemical taste. I am assuming that it picked up the taste of the container it was kept in. I then tried the honeydew melon, same result. It was the week before Christmas, I figured they where just overwhelmed and as a result, the quality slipped a bit. As a courtesy, I decided to call the store and advise them of the problem. As I said earlier, this was our third arrange we received that week and we pretty much had all the fruit we could eat. So, I wasn't expecting anything as a result of my call. I didn't want a replacement or a credit. I just wanted to tell them so no one else would get a tainted arrangement. The woman I spoke to apologized and offered a box of chocolate dipped strawberries for our troubles, that we needed to pick up. I had to run out to take care of errands anyway, so I didn't mind. To show that I wasn't simply trying to get something for nothing, I brought back the tainted cantaloupe and honeydew melon (which made up about 70% of the arrangement). The woman behind the counter smells it and said it smelled fine. I told her that if she didn't believe me, she was welcome to try it herself, which she declined. She then hands me a box and I leave. Once home, I opened the box to fine 6 pieces of chocolate dipped fruit (3 apples and 3 bananas, not strawberries). The three chocolate dipped bananas all had crossed shaped puncture marks where they obviously had been part of a previous arrangement and reused. I immediately discarded the entire box. I then went to the website and sent them a message. Due to the limited number of characters allowed, I was only able to leave a quick explanation of my experience, but left my information for someone to contact me. It has been 4 days and I have not received any contact. I now regret bringing back the cantaloupe and honeydew fearing that they were reused. Their resolution exposed more concerns that I as a customer would have with any business. read more

One star is being generous the fruit was rancid. Jessica did not even apologize and dismissed the fact we had a huge loss in the family and we were not able to make contact. She was too inconvenience to do her due diligence and try to look up any information. Customer service in Rice Village is sadly declining. Doing the right thing, putting forth effort, providing something as simple as good fruit shouldn't be so difficult for this company. I love getting roses and flowers, but I also love to complain that they die too quickly and I only get to enjoy them for three days! When I received a little bouquet of pineapple, melon, grapes, strawberries shaped like flowers, I was static! I didn't even want to share it with anyone!! I was going to get to eat my "flowers" myself! No more complaining about not enjoying them long enough. To my surprise, one person CANNOT eat all that fruit alone! I ended up leaving a lot of it at work. That was at least two years ago. I have used them ever since to send my dad for father's day or anyone who I know would enjoy it. I have never had any issues with delivery, not even when they had to deliver in NY. Prices are reasonable, as you get a base with the arrangement. I still like flowers and love to get me some roses from time to time, but I can eat fruit any day! Instead of ordering by phone, I went to the shop, and I am glad I did. The fruit is fresh, tasty, and well prepared. The manager, despite the fact that they sell food and have a table and two chairs inside, told me he did not have to let me use the restroom, because he had no outside tables. Does that make sense to anyone? At least I could understand him, the young lady at the register spoke too softly and too swiftly for me to understand. They have no bags, by the way, so if you buy several things, you are SOL. Despite the ordering information online, these people insist that there are no products for which there is a 20% discount for delivering yourself. It's just extra if they deliver. I ordered a birthday package for my sister that came with flowers. I wanted to let you know upon delivery I was embarrassed that I gifted her this package costing $100 and really it is quite an utter embarrassment and disgrace to your business. I was not expecting a lavish bouquet but something small and quaint like seen in the picture on the website but to my surprise, my sister received what appeared to be scraps from other flower arrangements. Wanted to share how disappointed I was with my delivery yesterday. I asked to be delivered around 2pm, and the order was placed at 11:30am. My delivery didn't get there until after 5pm, as my husband was walking out the door. He almost missed it. Also, the message I had put in it cannot be fully read. I am guessing the ink ran out of the printer and this store halfway printed it and attached it to my order. That is unacceptable. I always opt for edible arrangements bouquet ever since they've started. I prefer it from real flowers so I can share it with my fam. But I was really disappointed with my Mother's Day edible arrangement this year. The quality is a flop, the fruits weren't fresh especially the strawberries, the fruit slices weren't crisp and weren't sweet. For it being pricey, I would think I would get our money's worth. It looks like it's being prepared days before Sunday/mother's day. The quality has declined so much, even their chocolate covered strawberries my husband got me for Valentine's Day this year. Switching to cookie bouquets or cupcakes from Craves or sprinkles or the nothing Bundt cakes(lemon raspberry) next time, these businesses never disappoint. Bought this for my team during a high stress crunch period. Delicious! Chocolate covered strawberries were great but the plain fruit was also super fresh and delicious. The arrangement makes it feel fun and special and super easy for workers to just grab a skewer and go. Fresh fruit was just as popular as the chocolate covered fruit: This arrangement was also loaded with pineapple stars which were delicious and mini pineapple stars covered in white chocolate. Ordered a fruit bouquet for my wife to be delivered to her work on Valentine's Day. It arrived warm and the fruit was kind of mushy. I paid a premium price and had premium expectations that were definitely not met. Called the office and the woman that answered the phone had really loud music going in the background that we were having to yell over to communicate. They agreed to replace it today (Wednesday) and it did not arrive before my wife left work at 5:30pm. Seriously never a good experience with edible arrangements. I ordered 7 min pickup. Took 10 mins to get there then waited an additional 10 mins because they didn't have it together. While I was there I was listening to the cashier calling people apologizing that she couldn't get their arrangement in time by tonight. At least 10 phone calls. I have never had an edible arrangement success. Overpriced and not reliable. Maybe if you order a day a head but this is not for the last minute person.
