A friend purchased an arrangement for my birthday, but I did not find out until three days later when they finally left a note on my front door because I was at work every time they tried to deliver. The note did not have an order number or date, just their telephone number and address. My oldest daughter received the chocolate strawberry's as a college grad gift. They were left on the porch (pandemic) in a nice box with a balloon. They were delicious and she loved them. So I decided to get an arrangement for my HS senior daughter grad. I ordered a nice 2020 platter on her "grad" date (again pandemic). It arrived on the date, looked just like the picture- really festive. The fruit was delicious and I was very happy with the delivery. I've received and given these beautiful fruit bouquets in the past, but never from this location. The other morning, I wanted to bring a welcome back gift to one of my staff who had been out for 6 weeks. She loves fruit, so I thought this would be a nice change from flowers. I placed my order on-line the evening before. It gave me the option of pick-up or delivery and even asked me to specify the time I wanted it to be ready. I opted to pick it up so I could give it to her first thing in the morning. I arrived at the store that morning and they had no record of my order! I brought the printed confirmation with me, but she basically told me that was meaningless since they didn't have it on their end. After the clueless girl behind the counter spent 10 mintues searching, I asked her just to refund my money since clearly I could not stand there and wait while they made it. She told me "I just work in the back making baskets, I can't do refunds, I'll have to have my manager call you when she gets in." What?? I spent $62 on-line and you have no basket for me and now I have to wait for someone to call me??? The store should not be open until someone who can process payments is there! That afternoon, I get a voicemail from the manager who apologized, but basically told me it's a flaw in the website that they don't tell people the store needs a minimum amount of time to make the order. So in other words, go ahead and order on-line, but it's up to the store to tell YOU when they;ll have it ready, even though you pick the time on-line. It makes no sense. Needless to say, I went next store to Safeway and bought flowers instead. I will NEVER order from this poorly run establishment again. As a funny side note, the clueless girl at the counter took a phone call while I was standing there waiting for her to find my order. The person receiving the arrangement had to call around to find out who sent the edible arrangement because this company didn't ensure that my name was on the card. Later that night, I finally received a text from the birthday girl asking if I sent her the arrangement. When I called Edible Arrangements to ask why my name wasn't on the card they gave me a ridiculous excuse and said that they are not responsible for reading the card to ensure that the information is correct. We have had good experience with orders from Burke, VA. So I should have looked at the reviews for this location before I choose it for delivery to a Reston resident for a wedding. The orders came with barely half of what is shown in the picture. No one was there to pick up the phone, and when the manager talked to me. HORRIBLE Valentine's Day experience! First, let me say that I placed my order 3 weeks in advance, so it's not like I was a "last minute" customer. Now, for my experience... I wanted to send chocolate covered strawberries to my fiancee at work on Valentine's day. When I placed the order, I specifically stated in the comments section that my fiancee leaves work at 2:30p, and provided the name of a coworker who could provide access to the building. At 1p on Valentine's Day, there was still no word from Edible Arrangements, so I tried to call the Reston store (where I'd placed the order). The phone was busy. After several unsuccessful attempts to call the store, I sent them an Internet message - no reply. My fiancee actually stayed at work til 4:00 on Valentine's Day, and by 4:00, her order had still not been delivered. I again tried to call the store to cancel my order, and the line was still busy. I sent another email message to cancel my order, and again... no response. At about 4:45, I received a call from the delivery person asking if I was at my financee's work (letting me know he never read the comments section of the order which would've told him who to contact). He identified himself as the manager of the store, so I expressed my dissatisfaction and told him to cancel my order. His response? "It's Valentine's Day, and we are very busy today." Well, no kidding! You think!?!?! Didn't you see that coming?!?! Anyway, my refund has allegedly been processed, though I've never been contacted (via phone or email) by anyone from Edible Arrangements to confirm this. I can't speak to the quality of their product, because I never tasted it, but their customer service SUCKS! Looks like Shari's Berries will be getting my business from now on. Ordered an arrangement for a business colleague to be delivered at a certain time. The arrangement did not come on time and when I called the store, the 'manager' made excuses about opening late (no power). I suggested the least they could have done is call people waiting on orders at specific times. He said the best he could do is deliver by 3 pm. When I said I specifically needed the arrangement by noon fit a reason, he said I didn't fill in the details correctly when ordering. I will never order from this location again. Oh where to start!!! This may be the worst run business I have ever dealt with. I don't mean Edible Arrangements, I use them the for both work and family. The Reston store however, is...WOW, just awful. My wife and I have used them four times. Each time it was worse then the last. If she calls, I the guy spends most of of the time hitting on her. If I call, I get goofy guy, or rude guy. (Nether knows anything useful) For the price, the fruit is mushy and smelly, it NEVER (or as in the last case, ever)shows up on time. If you have to deal with a manager, I'm soooo sorry for you. I won't say his name, (Starts with an "R") the man is a nightmare. He is rude, tries to talk down to you all the while using the worst grammar. They never delivered the arrangement, but he had the nerve to tell me "I can't have my money back because that's not how it's done. They can't just be given money back to all da people cuz they would make no money." When I told him how often we shop with them his reply was "So?". Imagine my frustration with this Edible Arrangements (EA) location (Reston VA) when I tried to pick up an arrangement for my husband's birthday using a Groupon I had purchased. Now to be accurate in setting the scene, my Groupon had expired but per standard Groupon policy, even though the promotional offer had expired, I was still entitled to a credit on a future order in the amount that I paid for the Groupon. Being the detail-oriented consumer that I am, I made sure to confirm upon placement of this order (over the phone) that using the Groupon would be no problem and that the credit value would be honored upon pickup. So I arrive for pickup and first the young lady tells me that she doesn't know anything about Groupon and had never heard of such (despite the fact that I'd previously used one of my 3 purchased EA Groupons at this location). So after reading the "fine print" on the Groupon voucher and still not understanding, she then had to call the EA store owner who told her that he didn't know anything about any Groupons and to call the Groupon company. (We're now 20 minutes into this doomed interaction). Groupon walked her though all that I was entitled to but the young lady still had to call the store owner back to tell him what Groupon had told her. After all of this back and forth (and another 20 minutes), they offered me 50% of the credit I was due AND a smaller arrangement than I originally ordered. WOW! I don't know why I didn't jump on THAT deal! Ultimately, after COMPLETELY wasting my time, I walked out without my arrangement AND with yet another gripe against this company and their business practices. I'm DONE with Edible Arrangements at this point...if you feel otherwise, I hope your experience is 700 times better than mine. read more
