The bright blue 1950's truck painted on the front windows and the vintage exterior lights and brick facade give you ample warning that you are onto something special even before you step in the door. It's easy to see why this cute, well-stocked shop was voted best new business of 2021. Inside, there's stuff for kids, for grandma, grandpa, mom and dad, gardeners, wanna-be gardeners, folks who love the lake, who love things that smell good and who love red white and blue. There was a flock of hot pink metal flamingos, huge multi-colored roosters and bright red cardinals on wire hangers and metal stakes. There were enormous sunflowers, wind chimes and rock sculptures. And lots more. The back room had some vintage items including a couple of ladders that would be great for hanging quilts. According to the very nice gentleman behind the counter, they are usually open spring - Christmas and the stock changes as they sell out and replace with new merchandise. Around the holidays it becomes a big gift shop. If you are in the area, it is worth a stop. My advice would be to pair it with lunch and a visit to some of the shops along W. Jefferson downtown and make a day of it. You won't get dirty at The Dirty Hoe, but neither will you have to work hard to have a good time. Overalls not required.

There was no proof, just that the item was missing. I told her I didn't take anything and offered to help look for it--if she stopped threatening me. Instead, she took me to court. It took three months for them to produce video footage, which confirmed what I'd said all along: I never stole anything. I was not found guilty of any crime, yet I was forced to pay over $1,500 in legal costs simply to defend myself against a baseless accusation. Glow Fish Studios doesn't feel like a business anymore--it feels like a sting operation run by someone who gets a little too much satisfaction from accusing and humiliating people. I used to shop here often. I have no criminal background. This was deeply traumatic, and it seems they care more about "catching shoplifters" than actually treating customers like human beings. If you value integrity, avoid this place. They are not the small business they pretend to be. Overpriced shit that isn't even from real witches. Just gentrified, rich white women who profit off aesthetics, not authenticity. Save yourself the drama and support Motown Witch or Moonlit Mystic LLC--actual Black-owned Detroit shops that honor the craft and don't treat their customers like suspects.

When I received it, I found out that the watch was not genuine and even the buckle was gold plated. He kept insisting the watch was genuine because some salesperson told him it was at the Omega Boutique. After doing research online. verifying it with Omega Vintage Watch experts, and even a simple search of a 1954 Omega Constellation Watch online, I found out the watch is not authentic or genuine. The watch DOES NOT look like any of the watches online. Even the buckle wasn't an 18K gold buckle but a stainless steel buckle as it was so marked. I wanted a full refund of my money, because the item wasn't as described. The seller kept stalling and stalling, arguing that it was authentic and genuine. I even sent him my research and articles as to why it was not authentic and genuine, and challenged him to search himself online for the 1954 Omega Constellation. I pointed out details (OMEGA MOY Test, the cross hairs not a single solid line from 12 to 3, but broken at the word constellation and the star. He finally agreed to issue me a refund once I sent the item back because I was unhappy and he "would not feel right not making sure you (ME) are satisfied." Item was carefully packaged and shipped back to the seller on October 21, 4:27PM with tracking. The seller stated that he would be out of town until Friday, October 26th. The watch had been delivered with signature verification on October 27th. It is now October 31st and still no refund. I have texted the seller and left messages for him on his cellphone, and he has not responded nor called back. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS SELLER. Right now I am out $1646.70, and even had to pay the $39 dollars to ship the watch back to him insured with confirmation. He now has both the item and my money. I started freaking out and apologizing and she immediately told me not to worry, that she would fix it! She got the correct date, and told me to come back in about an hour..
