I attended a concert here this past Sunday for the kickoff of the fall season. It was Broadway veteran and comedian, Jessica Vosk. She was sensational and made the experience magical. She even came out for a stage door signing and was extremely generous with her time. Bring Jessica back! We need a live show of her Sleigh album. The evening was lovely and the food and drink options that were available were more than enough. Would love to see drink specials or tailored to the theme of the evening. read more

I saw a music performance here. While I wasn't a fan of the sloppy check-in process at the door for COVID vaccine cards and ushering, the venue itself was nice with good acoustics and comfortable seating. Bottom line: COVID throws a wrench in things but this venue still did the job of reopening fairly well in a brave new world. read more

I receive occasional mailers regarding the variety of upcoming lectures, concerts, plays...essentially northend culture provided by the Edmonds Center for the Arts. I visited for the first time to attend a free evening lecture/travel presentation by Rick Steves (9/19/18). Clearly it's well used and showing its wear as a community venue. It has lobby amenities for refreshments, including wine which you can bring back to your seats. The place was packed and ended up seated in the upstairs balcony area. View and acoustics were fine, however, the talk ran over two hours and the seat wasn't overly comfortable towards the end. The ECA provides a great venue, but limited parking (I parked in the downtown core and walked over) and uncomfortable balcony seats, at least for my squirmy rear end and cramped legs. read more

Very nice theater with lots of ambiance , parking was easy to find there in the lot, and easy to leave, and it's a great location. Simple process to buy tickets online early for some great seats. We enjoyed a special night of hula and amazing music here, and look forward to another visit. read more

We have attended several shows over the past few months. A wide variety of acts come through so you get a taste of everything. Haven't sat in the upper level yet but the lower level has good sight lines just about everywhere. Seating is dated and a bit uncomfortable. Don't sit too early and do stand up during intermission. Every show I've gone to so far has an intermission. I don't think they will be updating the seats anytime soon because they have sold so many name plates on the seats for donations and having come through COVID probably don't have a lot of money on the balance sheets. If you arrive very early you can walk into Edmonds and find a place to have dinner first. It is a few blocks but not terribly far. Most of the guests are older and probably live nearby. At the most recent show I have noticed they are hiring an actual security company to run the doors. I assume they ran into problems with people angry about having to still wear a mask through performances. I don't blame them. The place is mostly run by volunteers who shouldn't have to confront unruly guests. read more

This was a really nice venue to see a concert. I think it was recently remodeled, so everything was kind of new and fresh and clean, always good in an arts center. Major points for: Plenty of stalls in the ladies room Comfortable, large seats Intimate setting A quick review of the upcoming 08-09 season shows a good variety of shows at decent prices. Minor deductions: Terrible wine at the concession stand. Yes, of course it is going to be overpriced, but there are cheap wines that are good. Work on that one, please. (also, small packages of Cheez-its really do not need to be on a multi-tiered silver tray. Might be overkill.) Trying to decide if the utter lack of hipness matters to me. I'm not sure it does. We live in NE Seattle, and I thought it would be a super long distance away, but it wasn't too bad and there is like zero traffic compared to driving downtown. Also, there was free parking. Free parking is awesome. It's near "downtown Edmonds" and the ferry terminal, so there were several restaurants and bars nearby, although we didn't try any. read more

I'll always give an arts center a break, but this one really doesn't need it. Like any other venue that books fairly high-profile acts, they have to charge accordingly, so base your decision to attend a show here on how interested you are in the act. Everything about the venue itself should enhance the experience. It's a decent location, especially for northenders. Kind of a haul if you live in town, but certainly you can make an evening of it with some decent food nearby, either in downtown Edmonds or at one of the many newer Asian spots up along 99. You get a great view from the entrance area, and there's plenty of parking. Might not affect your evening at all, but I sometimes get a little peevish driving all over looking for parking at a show around downtown, so I count this as an incidental plus in EC4A's favor. Inside, they really did it right. They made the lobby modest, but invested in a solid PA system and good lighting. The seating is fairly intimate and you always feel like you're close to the stage--just the intangibles of a well-designed auditorium. It's an appealing setting, and both voice and music sound good here. These guys make a good effort to find diverse programming that will appeal to different budgets and different tastes. For the most part I think they succeed. Ultimately, this place is so new and, really, so architecturally indistinct that you can't say that just by being there it enhances the performance. But looking and sounding good and keeping you comfortable go a long way to making a performance a pleasure to attend, and EC4A does that all day long. read more

What a gem of a spot. My first visit was recently to see Sweet Honey in the Rock. Great sound, great seating, and you can take a drink inside the theater! Parking was wonderfully easy (living in Seattle makes you appreciate easy parking). Friendly greeters, beautiful location and a great evening out with friends. read more

Visited this small theater to see a great violinist Damien Escobar. The facility was very nice and clean. I like the way they served food and beverages. They had ushers to help you find your seat. My one complaint is the bathroom locations. I sat in the 1st row of the balcony level. I would not recommend that location for children or people who aren't that secure about heights. I was very impressive with The sound and lighting. Edmonds is such a cute little town I would recommend making a day of your visit if your not from there. read more

Nice day in many ways ... When I was young my mom has a record album we would play on the stereo ... Peter and the Wolf. Loved to listen to it!! Went to the Edmonds center for the arts to hear the Cascades symphony orchestra perform - delightful!! Started with percussion performance on xylophone and marimbas followed by two performances by rising star award winners - a 12 yr old pianist and 15 yr old flutist - wow!! It was a family friendly perform and there were a lot of young kid and babies there. A sweet little 3 yr olds with a red tutu was dancing in the aisle a lot of the time and a number of diaper bag toting dads left with kids part way through to change diapers. The rows were kinda of squirmy but the children all seemed well engaged especially during the main show - loved it!! Walk to the beach and steak dinner at mom's topped it off just right! Time to rest. read more

This is our favorite place to go for concerts and entertainment. They have interesting choices, just right ticket prices, and the venue isn't crowded. Parking is free. We like to have dinner in Edmonds, then go to Edmonds Center for the Arts for a concert or event. It's a great, low-key, fun date night! read more

I have lived in Edmonds now for 22 years and this town just slowly gets better, like a slowly simmering pot of goodness. The Edmonds Center for the Arts epitomizes the friendliness of Edmonds. I always feel like I'm going to run into someone I know here at the Center or strolling downtown. The ushers are smiling and ready to help. Craft beer from Gallagher's on tap in the lobby and you can take it to your seat as I was kindly informed by one of the pleasant lady ushers. There's not a bad seat in the house, except the first row in the balcony ... no leg room. The setting is intimate and the events and artists are first class. You're sure to find something on the calendar that works for you. Our MO is to drive the 10 minutes from home, arrive early, park close, have dinner somewhere downtown, and then walk back and see the show. It just ... doesn't ... get ...better. read more

The Edmonds Arts Center contains a real theater, with good acoustics and good site lines. Unfortunately, the seating in the auditorium was designed to accommodate 12 year old anorexic school girls but no one taller. Men six feet tall and over be warned! Unless you enjoy having your shins jammed into the sharp, hard edges of the seats in front of you, and having no space for your feet, stay away. read more

Edmonds Center for the Arts is a great destination in a cute little city. I have tremendously enjoyed the shows that I saw there (Second City, Ballet Folklorico). Parking is pretty easy and there are some great restaurants to go to. They also have a decent concessions (including alcohol which is a plus.) read more

Really nice place! Great comfortable seating, and good full view of the stage. We went to the Seattle International Comedy Competition here. The show was a blast, so it was hard not to like the venue. You can tell that there was a lot of money spent here to make it really sparkle. Clean, and well kept. Employees are very friendly! The bar was nice, but trying to create lines and pay for things was not well organized. Also, all of the map search engines bring you to the back of the building, not the front. Unfortunately, there is not very good signage to get into the place from the back, so that was a little frustrating. read more

This is a nice theatre in Edmonds. I find that they often have really good shows. The staff is always nice, the interior is nice, etc... My only complaint would be that they REALLY need more parking. read more

staff was friendly and helpful. the seating was very good, spacious by theatre standards and it was small enough that there wasn't a bad seat in the place. They serve beer and wine during breaks in the lobby and you can take your beverage back to your seat so you don't have to chug it if you were in the back of the line. read more

I liked this Center . I have been there for a concert with sold out. nice and roomy seats with arms. enough leg room. very friendly and helpful staff. reasonable price on concierge beverages with choice of hot/cold and alcohol/ non alcohol beverages. some choice of sweets as well. Sound and lights are in good shape. it has medium to small capacity ,in two levels. just parking is not enough when there is a sold out. but one can park in neighborhood streets. read more

My husband and I attended the international guitar Festival last week this venue was a perfect location for us to enjoy this amazing concert... There's refreshments available before and during intermission as well as a beautiful brochure that tells us about future events. I think I would cautionYou about is in the balcony the legroom is very limited but manageable for 2 to 3 hour event. I look forward to attending other concerts in this venue read more
