I came in today on 3/2 at 1pm. I sat at the bar. The bartender had the worst attitude. Threw a menu down and said she'd be right back. She does come back to take my order. Never saw her again until she took my card to pay. Never once asked if I wanted another drink or how my lunch was. My wings were terrible. FROZEN WINGS. The bones were black and brittle. The food was very good. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was not overly hot but had a nice little kick. Cut it with a little ranch and you will be fine, if you don't like hot. They have a large bar area and TV's all over the restaurant. It is an inside outside place all at the same time. The have AC and fans so no matter where you sit, you will be comfortable. Our server was good but not outstanding. Had to ask for a refile on my drink and they seemed to disappear for long gaps of time. Visited on a busy Friday evening after our own country club was too full to let us in... We were seated (party of two) immediately even with the restaurant already crowded. The service was very kind, friendly and very responsive. I had a beer, southwestern egg rolls and the fajita bowl and my sister ordered a wedge salad and the briskets Sliders. We were able to snag a booth and had good service. The food was delicious and served hot. There was a small error in one of the burgers and they immediately made it right. We enjoyed chips and salsa and all had burgers with fries and tots! You definitely have a choice of events to watch on all the TVs. One of the owners was there watching and keeping everything rolling. They were doing a great job! The vibe is definitely hopping and full of noise but you can still talk to your own table. We always enjoys the sport bar restaurants and Ed's Tavern was no exception. Great prices, comparable to the area and the food was delicious. We had burgers, fries and pretzel bites with beer cheese. Nice atmosphere with indoor and patio seating. Not too crowded at 2pm in the afternoon so we were seated right away. Our server, Jocelyn, did an amazing job ensuring we were taken care of promptly. We decided to give Ed's Tavern 64- in Bradenton, FL a try since we had a coupon, and it was not too far from us. We ate there yesterday- Thursday- 5/29/25. We were very disappointed with this restaurant. It was more of a sports bar than a restaurant with a bar. It was so loud in there- the music was way too loud, they had a few TVs at the bar, and everyone trying to have conversations over all that made it even louder. I had to ask 4 times for the music to be turned down. Each time I did, it was turned down a little, then someone turned it back up. The 4th time I told the manager, and he did turn it down on his hand-held device, however shortly after it was turned back up and trivia night was starting. The food was priced decently, however the quality was not very good. I ordered the Salmon, and it was overcooked- very dry and the portion was not that big, and the mashed potatoes were dry and did not have much flavor at all. I told the manager, who was nice and apologized, and he did take it off my bill, as I could not wait for another piece to be cooked as the music was so loud and obnoxious. We just wanted to get the bill paid and get out of there. the other dishes that were ordered was the teriyaki chicken- had good flavor, however not enough sauce and it was also a little dry; my mother asked for more sauce, and never got it. My brother got the brisket, which he said was okay- it was in small pieces- not how brisket is usually served. We tried the street corn dip with tortilla chips for an appetizer. It was not very good, and the portion of corn dip was small- not very much at all to share. There were plenty of chips, and they were good. We would have much rather had a bowl of beer cheese with the chips instead. It would be a good idea if Ed's offered the beer cheese with chips as an appetizer. We had no idea it was going to be loud with music, tv's at the bar, and then this man who started some music, Trivia. He was way too loud and turned the music up louder. Not what you expect at dinner. We know now, and will not be going back there, as the food was not that good to deal with the way too loud, obnoxious music, that you can barely hear the waitress or have a conversation with your family/friends which is what you expect to do while dining. read more
