I first started with Kristin F (practitioner) when I would make an appointment. I always felt comfortable and she was always helpful, informative, and listened. Every time I walked into that office I am greeted right away and there wasn't a long wait time. Everyone is always smiling and filled with joy. I travel from south austin and I don't plan on changing them unless I move far, far away. lol Now that Dr Alberda is part of the team there is no better doctors office then this one. I have never walked in to a place like this where you get joy, understanding and great knowledge/skills like this office. Even the phlebotomist is a sweetheart with great skills to draw your blood. Its a short visit with her but her pleasantry last beyond that. Every single person of the staff is excellent at their job and they feel like old friends. I wanted to give kudos to this team and know that it's appreciated how they treat the patients like family with care and excellent skills. Even on my worst days riddled with pain and anxiety, they have managed to get me in quickly and offer relief and hope for me while also setting realistic expectations. I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for Alma and Darren. Overall, DOC is always very clean, fast, and the staff is friendly. The visit would have consisted of 'how you doing' - 'I'm fine thanks' Then they tell me it's another office visit with a copay, charging both me and insurance. While I was planning on selecting a surgeon here in Austin, I did not limit my search to just this city. I looked in all areas of Texas and even beyond. However, once I identified Dr Kemper, I was confident that I had found the best surgeon for my needs regardless of location. To be brief, Dr. Kemper is a fantastic surgeon. He listens well, explains himself and addresses any concerns with honesty and professionalism. Plus, he's done this procedure many, many times and knows exactly what needs to be done. To say "I trust him" is an understatement. I knew that my condition would be taken care of withit Dr Kemper. My surgery was 6 months ago. Not only did Dr Kemper live up to my expectations but I am happy to say that I am better today that I have been in many, many years. My condition is 100% corrected and there are no residual effects from the procedure; even my 8" scar is invisible and no nerve issues with my skin. I cannot thank him enough or recommend him any higher - he's the best. I would also like to thank his staff for their excellent care. Ironically, my condition required the partnership with an Austin Brain Surgeon who is also "Dr. Kemper". While they are not related, they both worked flawlessly as a team, and I am forever grateful. I felt personally violated. So I was very nervous going into my first appointment Dr. Shah. I chose Dr. Shah based on several good reviews that I read online. His bedside manner was as explained in the reviews. Very kind, very patient, very informative, very "gentle." We discussed all of my options. I felt like he really took his time with me. He and I decided on the best next course of action for me to get well. For only the second time in regards to this very painful and potentially dangerous medical condition, I felt HEARD. Specifically, that Dr. Shah understood my trepidation and concerns about upcoming medical procedures. After my initial consult, somehow something got lost.In translation. Dr. Shah did refer me to another specialist; however, it was not as we had discussed in office. Since my initial visit, I have had a subsequent telehealth with Dr. Shah. Once again he addressed all of my questions. And offering telehealth is so incredibly convenient, particularly when mobility and transportation is an issue. Next step is to readdress a new referral and move forward on my medical journey. I feel like I'm in good hands...physically and metaphorically. As far as the clinic, making an appointment was really simple. Everyone at the front desk is super nice and helpful. My in office appointment was right on time. I set in the very crowded waiting room for about five minutes. I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend Dr. Shah for your medical speciality care needs.
