Another great brewery here in the Brooklyn Arts district. Lots of beer on tap. Great location. Very nice inside and outside seating. Note, the outside seating doesn't have a lot of shade so it may be hot sitting out there at certain times of the day. No private parking so plan accordingly. Street parking is available. Sometimes they have a food truck out front if you need food.

The drinks were reasonably priced and they were local for the most part. The building is huge and reminds me of ancient times! It is a double layered brewery, which is great when live music is playing. The bartenders were attentive, the only aspect that was a little bit weird to me: I couldn't figure out which age group this bar was meant for I saw people from their 20s to their 70s. Either way, it was a good experience and the live music is always good

Finally got to check this spot off my ILM brewery list. It's a cool looking spot that was apparently an old fire station back in the day. Now there is a boat built on the inside that frames the upstairs seating. They've got a good amount of chairs and tables on the first and second levels. On Sundays they do pitchers for $15. I got a coffee stout while my friends chose the peach wheat beer. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. See if you can spot the small hearts and stars outside the building!

This is one of the best breweries I've been to... they have LOTS of options with great taste, even for someone with a wheat allergy! Comfortable environment to relax and hang out. Super helpful staff, very accommodating upon each and every visit. Special shout out to NOAH, who definitely goes the extra mile for all brewery patrons. So elevating to experience that kind of individualized service. This professor can't wait to visit TEACH again!

I know that Blackbeard was a horrible person, but his story is exciting! I use to teach about NC pirates when I taught 4th grade, and Edward was the most terrifying! I had very high expectations for this brewery seeing as it uses his name and flag. Everything was great! The design and decor was perfect, the service was friendly and fun, and the beer was so good! Every single one of the beers was great! We even brought a couple home to enjoy. They have a great outdoor patio area, a large upstairs, and their main area is also large. They offer apps from their fridge, like salami and cheese. The atmosphere was great. They're also being very careful during Covid, and we didn't worry while there.

This place has great beer and is a chill place to spend time with friends. I've been here at least ten times and have had a positive experience each time I've visited. The large curved bar is well-staffed, and usually someone offers to take my drink order almost immediately after I walk up. My favorite beer here is the Teaches Peaches. I hate peaches and love this beer. It is light, wheaty, has no discern hoppy taste, and is very easy to drink. They do seasonal beers and there's always something new to try. I'm not the biggest fan of most of their other beers, so I tend to stick to what I know I like. There isn't much seating downstairs. So you have to go upstairs or outside to seat a group in most cases. There are large picnic table style tables to sit at up there. You can also rent out the space for events. I went to an election night party up there and the space was good. I like to sit outside if the weather is good. There is comfy outdoor seating, fire pits, and cornhole. Overall, I like this brewery.

    So festive at Edward Teach!

I absolutely love the atmosphere of Edward Teach. During the holiday season, they go ALL out. Everything is so festive, from their sign outside to the upstairs lounge area. On top of that, the staff are very inviting and nice. We were greeted right away and served very quickly, even with it being a rather busy Tuesday. Now what is most important is the beer is DELICIOUS. I had a Rose Sour and it was AMAZING. Additionally, their pilsner is always a good choice or Teaches Peaches. Lastly, the location is really nice also. Edward Teach is set close to downtown but far enough away that the hustle and bustle is not too bad and you can find parking pretty easily.

Love Edward Teach! Always a great place to gather with friends any night of the week. We also love that we can stop by here and get their own Edward Teach Devil's IPA in a 6 pack to go (highly recommend). They have indoor, outdoor, and upstairs seating. I'm not sure what nights they do it but there is live music sometimes at night and sometimes they even have a food truck that is outside. Love when they do this! The staff is super friendly, attentive and all around great experience. You can also bring food from other restaurants to sit and enjoy while you enjoy a drink that you just ordered. Oh and another great experience here is that you can bring your dog! I love walking through both inside and outside seeing all of the dogs big and small enjoying their time also. Highly recommend stopping at this brewery.

Another great brewery in Wilmington. They have a great loft and a great outdoor area. The bar is huge and service is quick and very friendly. They do not serve food but they allow you to take food inside. Will definitely be back and visit again.

Great atmosphere and the flight was a great way to sample something new.

Great new brewery! Loved the atmosphere and the beer is very good, too! I tried the Cutlass German Lager, which was a nicely balanced lager.

Fun place, great energy, beer was good (Front Street and Fly Trap had more unique, "let me try that" type of beer).

They have light snacks but no dinner and no food trucks that I've seen.

Aha! I actually took a picture of their hours on their chalkboard. Just go to the Yelp listing and look for my photo.

All 3 have many things in common... This brewery consistently produces some amazing beer. IPAs and hazy IPAs are top notch here. They are very rare and hard to find back home (Greensboro), so I had to stock up. The space is exceptional. Huge beer hall with a large bar top area, tables, couches and comfy chairs. Add in some tv's throughout with sports on, and some foosball and shuffle board, and you have a super fun spot to hang out. The outdoor patio is super comfy as well, and surrounded by beautiful large trees. This is a place I need to stop in every time we're in the Wilmington area. For the great beer, the great space, and to take home half the store lol.

The brewery has a laid-back atmosphere, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and a welcoming vibe that made it easy to spend a couple of hours there. The bartender was one of the highlights of the visit. He was very knowledgeable about the beer list, offered recommendations based on what we liked, and shared information about the local craft beer scene. I ended up ordering the Sup Brau Pilsner, which was crisp, refreshing, and an easy-drinking beer perfect for a warm summer afternoon. My favorite of the day, though, was the Tropical Lightning West Coast IPA. It had great citrus and tropical notes while still delivering the clean, hoppy finish you'd expect from a West Coast IPA. One thing I really liked was that Wilmington Brewing regularly hosts collaborations and food pop-ups. During our visit, Cousins Coal Fired Pizza was serving food outside, and it paired perfectly with the beer. The pizza came out quickly, and the service was friendly and efficient. Whether you want to relax inside, play some of the games they have available, or enjoy a beer on the outdoor patio, there's something for everyone. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the Wilmington area looking for quality local beer and a fun atmosphere.

Two staff members, juggling orders with grace, kept the taps moving and the vibe relaxed. We had the Oatmeal Porter (dark, smooth, layered with chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel) And the Brook's Mulberry Lemonade (a blend of house-made lemonade and beer, fermented with mulberries hand-picked from Brook's garden). Both were super delicious. Flytrap Brewing sits tucked in a quiet Wilmington neighborhood, and it feels like it belongs there. Highly, highly recommend.
