I'd been taking my cats here for 17 years. It was good in the beginning. But these last few years…read morehad been awful and I no longer take my business there. As I had my female senior cat there, I asked Dr Beck to look at her teeth. He brushed me aside saying "Well she's a senior cat so her teeth are where a senior cat's teeth are." (Well, Dr Numbeck, I had a senior cat who really had teeth issues and I really wanted this cat to be looked at for the same.) Ahem. $360 dollars. The next time I went in with the same cat, I asked for her toenails to be clipped. A $400.00 appointment and Dr Dumbeck said he was busy and "forgot" to clip her nails. A month later I had my cat in a carrier and stopped in to get her blood taken. Multiple vets at the establishment had told me that I could just "stop on by" and have her blood taken by the technicians. SO, I went there and the redhead at the front desk treated me horribly. I wasn't looking dressy (because I'd spent a good hour on my hands and knees finding the cat and getting her into her carrier), and when I asked "Why? The vets said I could bring her by to get a blood sample at any time?" and saying that it'd already cost me close to $800.00 and the simple things I'd asked for her hadn't been done, the dark-haired other desk assistant completely BRAYED at the next customer to come on up. She brayed like a donkey to drown out my questions. The red-head made an appt for the next day and was a complete snark to me. I went home and called back to cancel the appointment and the BRAYING desk assistant answered my call and BRAYED at me as I was complaining about the redhead and her lack of de-escalation skills. I asked all my cats records be forwarded to me and told the office manager quite clearly that I'd been bringing my animals here since 2008 but I would no longer be bringing my business there. Between the vet Dr Dick, or (sorry!) Dr Beck, and those two girls at the front desk, I hope that place 1) gets relocated because the access and parking is HELL and 2) start treating their clients as good people who are concerned about their animals and don't want to be treated like strident imbeciles.

I brought my dog to this pet urgent care because she was in pain and I was genuinely worried. I…read moreended up waiting over TWO HOURS in the lobby with no communication, no updates, and ultimately no guarantee of ever being seen. The receptionist was incredibly rude and dismissive. I was told on the phone that there were "only two people ahead of me," yet nothing was explained about appointments taking 2+ hours or the possibility of not being seen at all. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time, I was finally told there was no guarantee my dog would even be seen that night. That should have been explained before I wasted hours sitting there with an injured pet. The lack of empathy was shocking. No kindness, no concern, no basic customer service, just attitude and indifference while people sit there stressed and scared about their animals. If you're considering this place, be prepared to: * Wait for hours * Be ignored * Be treated rudely * Possibly never be seen at all Pet owners deserve honesty, communication, and compassion, especially in urgent situations. This place failed on all fronts. I would never return and strongly suggest others look elsewhere to avoid the frustration and emotional stress I went through.

Everyone from the receptionist from the veterinarian is exactly how they ought to be - compassionate and understanding. I always call before I come in, as a nervous dog mom I want to make sure I am not letting emotions rule my decisions. Both times I've visited on a Saturday, my normal vet wasn't open and even if they were, my normal vet has been too busy to get my dogs in to a doctor in a sufficient amount of time. I am so eternally grateful for the people that work at the Pet Urgent Care.

They were incredibly helpful over the phone, walking us through next steps and using their waitlist call-back system, which was such a game changer. We were able to call, explain our dog's injury, and then wait comfortably at home until they called us to head in. Once we arrived, we were seen within about 15 minutes, and the entire visit took around 30 minutes total, so efficient and stress-free. The staff and doctor were so kind, calm, and reassuring, which made a stressful situation feel completely manageable. You can tell they genuinely care about both pets and their owners. On top of the excellent care, the ambience is beautiful and cozy, welcoming space with a warmly lit fireplace that feels homey yet modern. It honestly doesn't feel like a typical vet office at all. 10/10 would recommend Midnight Sun Animal Hospital to anyone looking for compassionate, efficient, and high-quality veterinary care. I will say, we did wait quite a long time, but I'm willing to wait for better care than some of the other clinics I've been to. The estimate was also almost $1000 cheaper than what I was quoted from another urgent care clinic in Anchorage.

So I made an appointment with this vet and they had seen the cat before since my grandmother had been using them before. So I saved money since the cat already had her current shots. They called me to say they videotaped me, and agreed I said I do not want to argue. They criticized me because they said I left "in a huff" and they wanted to sever the relationship. All of this because I was nine minutes late for an appointment. They did not serve me as a client and were respectful. The last visit we went in for was for they didn't know what even though they made the appointment and we ended up having a vaccine sooner than needed because they didn't know what to do with the appointment. This time they didn't also know what to do with the appointment or exactly what tests to run at the appointment time. Somebody who is in the know is not in charge. It must be frustrating not to know your job.
