A friend suggested to take him to Cornerstone and Dr. Rapp and his team treated him for Parvovirus (as symptoms presented, despite having the vaccine). He received IV fluids over the weekend and Sparky got better and we got to take him home by Monday. They called VCA about Sparky's progress (VCA refunded us afterwards), and at Cornerstone they charged half of that (2-night hospital stay, meds, IV fluids etc.) for saving Sparky's life!!! Sparky is now 7 years old, happy and healthy!! Thank you Cornerstone team!

My latest visit this morning was from a concerning episode my cat had two days ago, I called Monday right before closing and explained what was going on, they offered me multiple avenues to include a pet urgent care I had no idea existed, told me what to look for to be concerned, and they scheduled me the next available appointment that would be in a couple weeks, and said they would put me on the waitlist. The next day they called with a next day appointment and Cheddar was seen first thing this morning. This is how all of my experiences have been here, I would highly recommend this vet clinic for the best care for your pets. I also want to shout out Jason at the front desk, he's a gem and so caring, I just cannot say enough good things about this place.

All staff were warm and friendly and poured their love on my best friend. Hammy received excellent care in office, and a comprehensive plan for his continued wellness. Outside of necessary vax/boosters and specific to visit services, Hammy got this wellness checkup for free ($117 value) as a first time patient. We didn't know this was a thing, and he also got a goodie bag with helpful items in it (poo bags). I trust the high level of care my dog received and booked a follow up appointment the same day.

I was told on the phone that there were "only two people ahead of me," yet nothing was explained about appointments taking 2+ hours or the possibility of not being seen at all. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time, I was finally told there was no guarantee my dog would even be seen that night. That should have been explained before I wasted hours sitting there with an injured pet. The lack of empathy was shocking. No kindness, no concern, no basic customer service, just attitude and indifference while people sit there stressed and scared about their animals. If you're considering this place, be prepared to: * Wait for hours * Be ignored * Be treated rudely * Possibly never be seen at all Pet owners deserve honesty, communication, and compassion, especially in urgent situations. When I asked questions about what's going on everybody looked at each other or would tell me my kitten was doing better. they were supposed to call me around 5am after surgery time to let me know how it went and it was delayed by 2 hours? over the phone they literally explained they forgot to call me with an update. my kitten did unfortunately pass away which I understand was not the vets fault however when we were grieving in the good bye room an employee came in and told us the pipes froze and they we can either wait and keep my suffering kitten alive to say goodbye or they can do it now, there really was no choice as he was suffering and couldn't breath without the oxygen machine, and the best part they immediately handed us a clip board for a bill that was 10x more than the estimate they gave us. they don't do payment plans and the front desk receptionist did not gaf nobody in this building cared about anything everyone was like dead inside and the ambiance was dirty. unfortunately this is the only pet ER in anchorage Alaska so i would lawyer up befor doing business with this establishment. they may or may not save your pet but only if they feel like it. fuck this place and fuck the staff too. :) also this place is known by locals to rip people off they charge 5x the price than the other vets as well since they are the only pet ER.

They were incredibly helpful over the phone, walking us through next steps and using their waitlist call-back system, which was such a game changer. We were able to call, explain our dog's injury, and then wait comfortably at home until they called us to head in. Once we arrived, we were seen within about 15 minutes, and the entire visit took around 30 minutes total, so efficient and stress-free. The staff and doctor were so kind, calm, and reassuring, which made a stressful situation feel completely manageable. You can tell they genuinely care about both pets and their owners. On top of the excellent care, the ambience is beautiful and cozy, welcoming space with a warmly lit fireplace that feels homey yet modern. They called me to say they videotaped me, and agreed I said I do not want to argue. They criticized me because they said I left "in a huff" and they wanted to sever the relationship. All of this because I was nine minutes late for an appointment. They did not serve me as a client and were respectful. The last visit we went in for was for they didn't know what even though they made the appointment and we ended up having a vaccine sooner than needed because they didn't know what to do with the appointment. This time they didn't also know what to do with the appointment or exactly what tests to run at the appointment time. Somebody who is in the know is not in charge. It must be frustrating not to know your job.
