Food: 3.5 Service: 5 Ambience: 4 Overall: 4 Thai restaurant Order: Drunken Noodle and Rad Na Crowd: 3/4 occupied Nicely decorated restaurant with booths lining the wall and windows and tables in the middle. The Drunken Noodle had very little heat to it and chicken wasn't too tender. Rad Na was a try-something-different attempt... and it was different. More like a soup than what the server explained. It was good but the combination of protein was a little overwhelming. Service was excellent and very accommodating. Overall, I'd recommend them but maybe go with traditional dishes at first

Amazing restaurant! Would recommend 100% Food here is amazing. I've been here five times ordered different items and each time it's fantastic. I have ordered in restaurant and to go and both are equally good. It is an extremely good value for the price. The restaurant is clean and casually decorated. The service is fantastic my drink never goes empty my food is served hot and fresh. The appetizers and the meal are spaced out well. Hidden gem

The best Asian food in the high country...and it's not even close. Their spicy beef Pad Thai is just perfect.

Woah, I ordered the Special Pho and couldn't believe how flavorful the broth was! It was served with sprouts, cilantro, basil, hoisin and siracha but I didn't need to add anything to it. It was around $12 and portions were huge, at least 2 meals. We ordered the deep see sushi roll as well. It was good too. I didn't not read the entire description and was surprised to see the minced fish and that it was fried on the outside. The tuna and salmon were fresh and tasteful. The kids got chicken nuggets with some fried rice. Again, high quality nuggets, crispy and juicy. If you are in the North Belmont area, I recommend this restaurant! You will be pleasantly surprised

The spicy basil chicken must have had a hidden spice that my body didn't totally like. It tasted good and I didn't taste a lot of heat. I did a to go over. They were fast with preparing. I would probably return to try something else on the menu.

It was the perfect mix of flavors and texture. Bonus: it was half-price wine night (Thursday perk!). My friends each ordered one of the desserts and they enjoyed them all. I've had the lemon blueberry cheesecake before and it's still my favorite - light, creamy, and bursting with flavor. I believe I remember asking last time Randy they get their desserts brought in from a local venue. Best part... Pisces is part of the Offline Club, so with my deal, my dinner came to just $5. Seriously, $5 for solid sushi? Can't beat that!!! Pisces hits the spot for a casual night out with quality food, great service, and unbeatable deals.

This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I've ever had and it was for a birthday dinner. We arrived at 8:15 PM and weren't seated until 8:40. That would have been tolerable if the restaurant had been busy it wasn't. It was barely occupied. We were given water and then sat there for almost an hour before anyone took our order. Our order was not taken until 9:30 PM. We ended up leaving at 10:00 PM because of how disgusting and uncomfortable the entire experience became. Service was shockingly poor. There were four employees visible: two older women working the floor, one man making sushi, and a younger girl behind the bar. Despite the low volume of guests, our waitress ignored us for extended periods while standing behind us talking to another table for 10+ minutes. We finally had to flag her down just to get our order taken and then she rushed us. The drinks were a disaster. We were served the wrong rum, and when we politely mentioned it, the waitress argued with us about it. Once it was replaced, it was clearly watered down. Our water glasses were visibly dirty. One of the wine glasses had lip smudges on it that were not from anyone at our table. That alone is unacceptable. The cleanliness of the restaurant was alarming. The bathrooms had no paper towels, the toilets were dirty, and it looked like they hadn't been cleaned recently. There was silverware on the floor in the main walkway that staff walked past repeatedly without picking up. The entire place felt dirty and disheveled. To make matters worse, there was an intoxicated man at the bar who appeared close with the staff. He berated us as we were leaving, and instead of intervening, staff continued serving him alcohol. We also witnessed the waitress deliver sushi with avocado to another table after the guest clearly stated she had asked for no avocado. The waitress set it down and essentially told her to eat it instead of correcting the mistake. That interaction alone showed a complete lack of professionalism or care. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration. The staff was aware of that. Instead, we experienced neglect, unsanitary conditions, confrontational service, and an overall atmosphere that felt chaotic and poorly managed. If I could give negative stars, I would.

It might have just been the holiday rush, but I always figure "busy means good," so my expectations were high--and The Local didn't disappoint. We started with the nachos; they were delicious, though I do wish they came with a bit more meat. For mains, the burger was outstanding--probably one of the best we've had in the entire area. We also ordered the Brazilian steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with great plantains. The quinoa with tofu was good, too, though it was a little dry and would have been perfect with a sauce. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled my water at least four times without me asking. Great ambiance and an all-around good experience. Definitely worth the wait!

But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.

We started with the pickled board, and it was just fun. It felt like a Southern snack platter put together by someone who actually cares about balance and flavor. I ordered the pickled salad with chicken, and it was right up my alley. Fresh greens, great textures, pops of color, and the chicken was nicely seasoned and grilled. The dressing had that bright, tart thing going on that makes you want more of it. I would absolutely get this again. My husband got the Cassie salad, and while he said it was "fine," even he admitted everything was fresh and well done. The vibe here is relaxed, cozy, a little rustic, the kind of place that feels local in the best way. For a casual lunch in Boone, it hits the spot. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
