I love their garlic noodles. I am so glad they brought back their all you can eat lunch buffet. Although it's pricey, the fresh sushi is well worth it. The service is fast and fresh. The ambiance is lively during the day with intimate booths available for more privacy and for an intimate dinner. Lots of beer, wine and cocktail selections. Lots of parking available in the shopping centers parking deck.

Came here for food and surprisingly the hibachi wasn't bad. Pretty decent for jumbo shrimps and scallops. I had to take it to go! They gave a lot of shrimp sauce on the side which was nice but I only used some of the sauce. Service is fast. The place is relaxing however it does smell like cleaning supplies like Clorox. I hope they fix that as this is the second time I've been here and it smelled like that. .

We came to Pisces for a date night and it was good, but not our favorite AYCE sushi spot. Everything tasted good and our server was attentive and kind, but we just weren't blown away with the selection of items. It was a more casual spot than it looked like in photos which was okay too, but we were a little overdressed based on what we had see online.

AYCE lunch $19.99 was delicious! Tons of great options. Wednesday around 12:30 was easy to get a table.

The best all you can eat sushi menu in Charlotte! They have a great variety of options and high quality food. It's such a great deal too! I recommend the spicy garlic edamame (don't forget to save the sauce). The best roll I've had yet is the dragon roll - so freaking good! Highly recommended you check it out and grab a reservation because they get pretty busy!

Simply put this was an awesome spot to go to for sushi. For my wife's birthday she wanted to come here and check it out. It was a not so busy Saturday afternoon and we were welcomed promptly and sat immediately and our server was very helpful with the items on the menu. The sushi was extremely good and sauces on them was really good. Fome my birthday i would love to come back here and have a good tme with some good sushi.

Great rolls at Pisces for their 1/2 priced sushi roll Happy Hour from 4-6pm. Wednesdays are also 1/2 off wine carafes. I got the dynamite roll and the screaming o roll. Both had crispy shrimp tempura. The dynamite had avocado. The screaming o had seared tuna and I asked them not to put on the spicy tuna that usually comes on it. (I don't like the mushy texture.) I love their seaweed salad, but next time will ask them not to put it on top of salad leaves because those got mixed into the seaweed somewhat and I'm a bit of a seaweed purist. We had a carafe of prosecco and it was refreshing. Our waitress was really pleasant and had such a great attitude. She was cheerful and willing to help. She even looked ahead at what we would be needing and if we asked for anything she got it right away. Excellent service ! They have cute private booths here perfect for a date. Parking directly in front on the restaurant has a 30 min max time limit. You'll likely need to park in the parking garage with Trader Joe's. The only negative thing I will say is there was one Asian woman at the front wearing a mask that had a terrible attitude. Her eyebrows narrowed each time you asked her a question as if she was incredibly bothered having to speak to you. No one else was behaving this way. Everyone else was unmasked and very seemingly happy to be there. I felt bad for the young Asian man her age working with her. He seemed to only be tolerating her presence. This may not be a good fit for her or perhaps she was having an off-night. Only their management would know which one.

Came here for the AYCE sushi after we saw that they added that as an option. It's $29.99 so on the higher side for AYCE in Charlotte. Honestly, they have a pretty limited menu for that price compared to other restaurants. No sushi appetizers, only the generic fried apps. Not too many nigiri options, and the nigiri they do have isn't the best quality - it's just okay. However, props to them for including takoyaki as an appetizer, I haven't see that as a part of any other AYCE menu and it's one of my favorites. The rolls were pretty good and good rice to fish ratio, again just okay quality for the fish. Not too much variety in roll option (lots of just crab+tuna), but good for an AYCE. Loved the seating options and good ambiance in general. The semi-private booths were very nice. When we came in there was no wait and they sat us in a booth in the side room. We waited for ~15 minutes and then a waiter came by to let us know that they weren't aware we had been sat there. After that though, the staff were very nice and very quick. Overall, a good place for decent sushi if you eat enough to make the 30$ worth it.

My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday, and it exceeded our expectations. Our waitress, Cat, was so polite, attentive, helpful, and fun to interact with. We wanted to come to Pisces specifically for their Omakase, and the chef provided delicious and high-quality fish for our meal. After our Omakase, we tried the "Happy Ending" roll. Cat was so understanding when we asked to substitute the avocado in the sushi roll due to allergies. At the end of our meal, Cat surprised us with a cheesecake to help celebrate our 5-year anniversary. We also tried the tempura fried Oreos to satisfy our sweet tooth. Thank you so much to the incredible staff at Pisces for making our anniversary so memorable. We hope to come back soon!

I'm so glad they brought back their All You Can Eat Sushi! Made reservations for a party of 12 for my moms birthday. We immediately sat as soon as we walked in. They do send you a text message a day before and even the day of letting you know when your table is ready. A few tips, we were told that for our party, every one needed to either do the All You Can eat buffet or order off their normal menu. It couldn't be mixed & matched. The sushi was phenomenal and super fresh! Everything was tasty from their original California roll, salmon, tuna, tempura, edemame, calamari, dumplings, etc. You can choose from salads, hibachi, soups, and dessert off the All You Can eat. Everything is portioned as a personal dish, so you can not really share it with anyone. Overall, no one had any complaints. Our waitress was PHENOMENAL! I can not remember her name (FAIL), but she did such an awesome job remembering everyone's orders and just taking great care of our party. My mom received a free dessert for her birthday. This is located in the Metropolitan shopping center so the parking is hectic. They do offer free valet, though. There is a free parking deck with about 5 floors of parking with elevators. Overall, great experience and will be coming back even for their lunch specials.

I've been to this place numerous times with friends or by myself, but never once with my husband...so I finally scheduled a date night here. For some reason, the place didn't look as good as usual (think their ambiance lighting was off or something?). Also, I noticed that their fish tank was now empty. What happened?? In any case, we headed to their cool, private booths in the back. LOVE their spacious booths! Also for some odd reason, they were playing 70's Disco music on their overhead the whole time...Huh?? The overall vibe was just a bit off. Anyway, we started with Shrimp Tempura appetizer. They actually didn't have it on their menu, but I asked if we can make the Shrimp & Veggie into an all-Shrimp app...and they accommodated! BTW, this turned out to be AWESOME! Then, I ordered 2 sushi rolls (Shellfish Bastard, and Crunchy Spicy Tuna?), and my husband ordered the "Loco Moco" with Katsu Chicken. We shared our entrees...and the consensus was that the Sushi Rolls beat the "Loco Moco". To be perfectly frank, my husband seemed quite underwhelmed with this "Loco Moco" dish. As he put it, the dish felt lacking (despite the hearty portion)...maybe in veggies? Just as with their overall ambiance, their sushi roll presentation was off tonight. Still, I've always thought their sushi rolls are some of the best in town. We also enjoyed their Miso Soup as well. Lastly, service was stellar, as usual. Thanks to getting a reservation in advance, we were seated right away...and our waitress did a great job, from start to finish. The major downside was what I thought was a decline in the overall ambiance since my last visit. I just felt that they needed to upgrade and fine tune a few things. Given how much I love their foods, I'm not going to dock any stars this time...but this could change if they don't revamp in months/years to come.

Leftover food they will charge you for
    Daniel H.

Update to respond to Business owner: Ben - you can lie all you want. You weren't the business owner I talked to so for you to say that didn't happen...you literally weren't there. The owner I talked to or saw there who at least was claimed to be the business owner... did say "we need to make more money". Again - low quality food - both the fish and steak... and what AWFUL MANAGEMENT. Pictured is the "Leftover food" from AYCE at 2:13pm on Sunday. Came here to try the AYCE since they recently started it. It was only the dinner AYCE at this hour because Sunday ($27.99/person). Went with a friend who isn't a big sushi fan, so they got a lot of the apps (fried chicken type cheap stuff). What is leftover is from their hibachi as part of the AYCE menu... plain white rice, a couple vegetables, and a couple of pieces of chewy/stringy steak that made me need to floss. I've eaten a lot of AYCE sushi - I've never been charged for leaving such a small amount. This menu is very limited compared to nearly every other dinner AYCE I've been to (very few nigiri options, no dessert options, zero higher-end items like even a salmon belly). It seems they lowered the quality and need to learn proper service. Oh, and btw, they also brought other food out that we didn't order, tried to charge us for that uneaten portion, too, and then decided to charge for the uneaten few pieces of steak pictured (because it was nearly an entire roll that we did not order). The manager first pretended to not be the manager "the manager said we have to charge" until I ask to speak with the manager and then "I am the manager". I asked to speak with the owner. I was shocked after speaking with the owner who basically said, "we need to make more money." I thought this was not the right way to go about making more money... going "all you can eat", lowering quality and charging when people leave little bits on their plate from the subpar quality food (I can only imagine they charge many a little leftover extra as a way of making more money...). Very upset with the management and ownership and how they go about their business. My recommendation- stay away.

Our server was friendly enough and did share the popular items, which I appreciated, but the follow-through from the kitchen didn't match the expectations that were set. I went with the recommended Panther Roll, and it was not at all what I expected -- it came out half-baked and lacking in both flavor and presentation. The crab Rangoons were even more concerning; they were fried in what tasted like old oil, leaving a heavy greasy aftertaste. The batter itself didn't seem right, and overall they were difficult to enjoy. I've worked in the hospitality industry for seven years and recently started writing reviews to offer honest feedback that can help restaurants improve. I genuinely dislike writing negative reviews, but this visit left me no choice. Konnichiwa has the potential to be a hit with a more engaged, enthusiastic staff, consistently hot food, and some attention to kitchen maintenance -- especially the fryer and oil. I hope this feedback is helpful, and I truly believe with a few adjustments, the experience could be much better.

I came to this restaurant with high hopes. A friend and her husband had a great experience on a…read moreprevious visit and thought it would be right up my alley. We came on a Saturday evening and arrived just in time to catch the sunset before starting our meal, which felt like the perfect start to the night. We ordered our first round of drinks, and the ladies at the table opted for the Osusume while the gentlemen ordered directly from the menu (there were four of us total). The drinks took a little while to arrive, but nothing that raised any red flags yet. Service started to feel off once the food began coming out. One of the guys received his appetizer, entrée, and side of rice almost immediately--basically all at once--while the other received his entrée well before his appetizer. As for the Osusume, it started strong with the first three dishes coming out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, that momentum stopped completely. We then waited 45 minutes to an hour before the next dish appeared. Our server did acknowledge the delays, which we appreciated, but that was about the extent of it. At one point he stopped checking in altogether, likely because he had no updates for us. What was frustrating was that we never even had the opportunity to order another round of drinks while we waited. After a couple of hours, one person in our group had to leave. Meanwhile, my friend and I were still waiting on at least three more courses from the Osusume (we were told it would be 6-9 courses). My friend's husband eventually went to the host stand to ask for a manager. When the manager arrived, we were given conflicting explanations as to why our food still hadn't come out. By this point it had been over three hours, and we still had three courses left to receive. Another friend left because the wait had become so unreasonable. Unfortunately, the manager didn't offer anything to help make up for the experience--no drinks while we waited, no gesture for the delay, nothing beyond explanations that didn't quite line up. Walking past the kitchen, things appeared chaotic and disorganized. It honestly seemed like our order may have gotten lost in the shuffle more than anything else. Tables that were seated well after us were able to order, eat, and leave. At one point a group of about ten celebrating a birthday came in after us, enjoyed their entire meal, cut a cake, and left while we were still waiting. Even small touches fell through the cracks. We never received the lemon or water enhancements that were being brought to other tables, and getting a simple water refill often took 30+ minutes. Going that long without any drink--water included--is tough for a restaurant of this caliber. Eventually, because it had gotten so late, we asked to have the remaining courses packaged to go. Unfortunately, that experience wasn't much better. The food was poorly packaged and didn't seem intended to be shared between two people, which made it difficult to properly enjoy what should have been the remaining courses of the Osusume experience. In the end, we were offered a series of explanations but not much in the way of service recovery. We were patient throughout the entire experience and didn't make a scene, but the lack of communication and basic hospitality made the evening feel like a missed opportunity. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. Lack of service is one thing, but when concerns are raised to a manager and they seem to be brushed off, it makes the experience even more disappointing. I could maybe forgive slow service if it were a one-off situation, but the lack of ownership or effort to make things right makes it hard to suggest this spot to others. Come at your own risk and be ready for disappointment.

Tried Mizu for the first time with my family of 3 yesterday, we ordered a variety of items off the…read moremenu to get the full experience. Edamame and Southpark Shrimp App, Katsu Udon Entree, Salmon, Sea Bass, Chicken yakitori from the Robata, Cowboy Roll, Scallop Hand Roll Sushi, and the Chestnut Cheesecake and Lychee Sorbet Dessert. My wife really enjoyed the Edamame, it had a nice flavor with the seasoning on top, but the Shrimp Tempura was very avg, with a thick tempura batter and not much flavor, even after dipping in the aoli that sat under the shrimp, Katsu Udon was soggy and not crispy as the server poured the broth all over the Katsu and the broth was not very flavorful. My wife's favorite thing was the Salmon which was cooked pretty well and had a corn puree on the bottom the other 2 robata items (sea bass and chicken) were both quite mediocre with little flavor. Cowboy Roll was a bit surprising as it had bbq sauce on it but wasn't too bad, The scallop hand roll was my favorite thing, it was torched on top and had a nice creamy dressing on it as well as some jalapenos. Both desserts were good, both not too sweet and suiting my families palette, overall it was about $270 after tip. Due to the restaurants location they probably get a lot of guests of the hotel and business meals to keep them in business but the food overall was not up to par for that price point. My family eats out quite often and compared to many other places we've been to with similar price points this place is not IT. We most likely will not be going back, but it was a nice experience to try.
