I'm surprised by all of the positive reviews on here! Granted there are only a handful reviews , however, I can't believe people think the pricing is fair! They overcharged me for an orchid arrangement that costs 75% more than what I found at Trader Joes the following day. Yes, TJ's isn't a "florist" , but if the flowers look identical I consider that to be a huge waste of my money. And the orchids from Trader Joes lasted longer!!! I've been meaning to write a review for this place for some time and finally got around to it, only to find that everyone else has beaten me to the punch with their "effusive" praise for this truly exceptional place. There are lots of reasons why Effusive Flowers is by far my favorite florist in LA, but one of the top is that their arrangements are so uniquely gorgeous that everyone falls all over themselves lavishing praise on them, but at the same time the price does not in any way match the stunningness (that's a word I made up just for them, spellcheck). I can't believe how reasonably priced they are for the quality and unusual beauty they deliver, it's really unheard of in this day and age. I don't shop for flowers often, but when I do, there is no question of going anywhere but here. A while back the mother of a dear friend was in the hospital and I picked up an arrangement to take to her in hospital. Well, I barely made it to her room, I was so besieged with people clamoring to know where this amazingness came from. What finally got me to the keyboard to write this is that this past Valentine's Day, my bf called to ask me which florist it is I love the best (he always forgets, but I forgive him because he's pretty amazing in every other way), and although he asked me that pretty late on Thurs. night (the day before V-day), when the shop was closed already, I still got my latest and greatest, most astonishing arrangement ever, fairly early in the day the next day. How they managed to put that together and get it to me in no time on the busiest day of the year for florists, is beyond me, and I was totally astounded when it arrived, for myriad reasons, the speed certainly being one of them. However, because they were swamped that day, they'd hired an outside person or 2 to do their deliveries, and the driver had been in a hurry and left the flowers with my (tiny) co-worker at a location different from where I was. She then ended up carrying this ginormous vase filled with a million flowers, lots of water and lovely crystal red rocks that looked like rubies, across the bottom floor of the shopping center where I work. Because the flowers were nearly her height, and she was dressed nicely and in heels, she was teetering so much that some water spilled on her, staining her beautiful beaded cardigan. I was mortified and, thrilled though I was with the flowers, I called immediately and spoke to Mohsen to voice my displeasure. He was even more mortified than I was and immediately assured me that he would do whatever it took to make it right, apologizing and explaining about the outside contracted drivers for the day. A few days later, giving him time to calm down from the rush of the weekend, I went in there. He could not have been more gracious and gave me a choice for my co-worker, which is the option I chose since I certainly didn't need any more flowers for myself after being showered with the most gorgeous arrangement known to man, plus my co-worker is very dear to me and I wanted to do something to make it up to her. I work at a pricey boutique in Brentwood Gardens frequented by wealthy Brentwood ladies, and not a one came in there without her jaw dropping at the sight of these flowers. Needless to say, they all demanded the name of the florist capable of such magic, and I fervently hope that they all bring their business to this super-deserving place. Thank you so much, Mohsen and all the other great folks at Effusive Flowers, long may you reign and continue to take everyone's breath away with your magnificent, one-of-a-kind floral arrangements. As for the parking, I've never had a problem, I always find a spot either on the street or directly at the side of their shop. Lastly, I only wish I could figure out how to add a photo of my flowers, I'd love to show them off, but I don't see an option here and when I try to copy at iPhoto and paste here it only shows up as a bunch of letters :-((. read more

Effusive flowers is truly the best place to buy flowers. One, they have amazing arrangements, and even though the cost is a little high, you honestly get what you pay for. The added value of their amazing customer service is really the icing on the cake. I have been ordering from Effusive for quite some (and will continue do so) and each and every time they treated me so well and really made buying flowers a very nice experience. The one thing they do that I absolutely appreciate is that they truly appreciate their customers. I just had flowers delivered and as usual, they were on time and truly spectacular and my GF and her office were very impressed. Normally their flowers last quite some time but these for some reason only lasted a couple of days. I called Effusive and mentioned this and they immediately took care of me but either offering for me to exchange them at their store for another set or offering to deliver another set to my GF's office. They are really just great and I am so glad I found them. It is funny because my GF's office knows when flowers get delivered for her and they see the arrangements, they know they are from me and Effusive without even asking. I dropped in the day before my daughter's prom (last minute, in other words) to get a corsage and boutonniere made with a special request on the color of flowers, ribbon color and filler or accessory flowers. I had requested they not use the typical baby's breath (for color matching reasons) so instead they used lavender. They did a wonderful job with both the corsage and boutonniere - they were unique and gorgeous and these little custom touches came at a price that was barely more than what I would have paid for a cookie-cutter corsage from Ralphs, and much, much nicer! If I could give this business 10 stars, I would. After shopping around, I decided to use Effusive Flowers for my wedding flowers. I have very particular tastes and Moshsen Nadji and his team far exceeded my expectations. I had a stunning bouquet of peonies and they lasted through the night. The church flowers were amazing and were transported by Nadji to the reception location and additional table arrangements of orchids, white lilies and other amazing flowers were displayed. All of these transportation logistics were seamless to me and my guests -- it was if they appeared by magic. Everything arrived as promised on time and the displays at both the church and reception were better than I imagined (how often can you say that?!) all for a very fair price. My mother and mother-in-law loved their corsages, the bridesmaids ooohed over their bouquets and the boutonnaires lasted through the night (although Effusive even provided back-ups). Even though the reception was in the hot sun of Malibu, California in July, the flowers not only lasted the night, but the guests that took them home told me the arrangements lasted in excess of a week. I would not hesitate to recommend Effusive Flowers for any special occassion or if you'd just like to send an arrangement to a special someone. Their customer service is amazing and their flower arrangements are even more stunning. I now won't go anywhere else! Believe me, I'm a tough customer and wanted to make the wedding "perfect" -- the flowers from Effusive Flowers were exactly that. (The DJ, rental company, reception location and coordinator, will not be getting positive reviews.) I could go on and on about Effusive Flowers and do not have one negative thing to say.
