    Chicken biscuit with grits
    Heather R.

While traveling alone I was looking for a quaint breakfast spot and this restraint ticked all my boxes. Family owned and operated, and open, airy, friendly atmosphere. I was seated right away and my server, Jess was so friendly and had a lovely smile. She was attentive throughout my meal. I was shown the seasonal specials and was excited to see a full coffee menu or delicious options. I chose a caramel macchiato. It came out right away, served in a wonderful mug. Felt like an added home touch. For my food options, it was very hard to choose. Everything looked so wonderful. I went with the savory choice of the southern chicken biscuit with gravy, bacon, and cheese grits, because...when in Atlanta, right?! Omg, it was heaven! The biscuit was fluffy and delicious. No microwaves here..it was homemade! The chicken had been seasoned as well and the gravy and bacon added just the right touch to send that biscuit sandwich over-the-top with flavor! If you are in Decatur, find a way to make this little spot a stop on your journey. It was really amazing! Thank you, Egg Harbor team for a great meal with some southern hospitality!

We had a good experience. 10 minute wait to be seated but our food took about 30 minutes.... But overall the place was clean and busy. The waiter was awesome. We'll be back. The wait on the food was the only drawback.

Attended impromptu solo brunch. Parking on the street with a fee is limited. Or attached garage parking for a fee. The handle to the gate was up for today (lucky me). The waitstaff from the hostess and server were all great. Very friendly and accommodating. The food was really good. I had the chicken biscuit and the cheese grits with the strawberry mimosa. Everything was good. Although the food took a little longer than normal. Ambiance was peaceful enough to enjoy your meal but not feel isolated as a solo diner. Deducting a point as parking was difficult to locate and usually with a fee and delayed food arrival.

I would say the English muffin taste really yummy. The first time I had it was very delicious. The front desk server was so helpful on helping me how to order and also make sure I earn my points. It's a beautiful space they have lots of lighting, different areas and it's a cute place to eat and they're only open from morning to three I believe.

Cute little spot, right down the street from Decatur High School. If you're a coffee lover, head straight to the bar area. You can watch the barista make your drink. They have free-WiFi, so you can work while you munch. Paid street parking is $3/hour. The servers are friendly, although I had to wait a good 15-20 minutes for someone to take my food order. The prices are reasonable. My French toast was a tad on the soggy side, but they have lots of other options. I might try the lobster scrambled egg dish next time. All and all, good experience.

The food was amazing, I had shrimp and grits THAT was to die for. So delicious, and their prices so reasonable. It's so clean and smiles good, the waitress was so attentive and nice. Highly recommend this place. Small, quiet and quaint. Very friendly and great staff, smiles and professional.

I stopped and got breakfast ahead my appointment. There was street parking available since it was early in the morning. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. I told them I wanted to place an order to go. The kind gentleman took my name and phone number and asked what I would like to order and gave me a menu. They have a diverse menu of breakfast meals, that it was hard for me to choose. I told him I couldn't decide between the meaty skillet and Aztec omelette. He asked if I liked jalapeños and I told him I'm love spicy food. He recommended the Aztec omelette which is what I ordered. I also ordered a strawberry OJ. He asked if I was a rewards member and I told him it was my first time there. He said it's free to sign up and you earn points each time you dine with them. The cafe is a nice size, clean, and beautifully decorated. There is a bar you can sit at and they do sell alcoholic beverages. Just by the certificates and pictures on the wall, they seem to do a lot of community service. They had their health score displayed, which was a 91 A. There is a bench near the door you can sit at while you wait for your order and there is plenty of seating to dine indoor and outdoor. It took about 15 minutes to receive my order. I did receive a text telling me my order was ready. So if you wanted to take a walk after placing a to go order, you will be alerted by text once it's ready...convenient! The meal came with an omelette, potatoes, and English muffin with their signature jam. The food was really good! Savory, flavorful, finger licking good. The strawberry OJ was delicious. They give you a little baggie that contains the jam, mints, and a wipe The only thing they did wrong was not providing napkins and eating utensils. Thankfully, I had wipes in my car but no eating utensils so I had to eat with my hands and things got really messy. The omelet consisted of chorizo so grease got everywhere. I was able to pour the jam (very creamy) on the muffin. The jam was really good! I didn't really care for the English muffin but I've never been a big fan of English muffins. I don't know if I can substitute for toast or something else but I will definitely ask next time. All in all, I really enjoyed my meal but it would have been much better with a fork. I can't wait to try their other menu items and next time make sure I get eating utensils if eating on the go.

I came here with a party of 4, my first impression wasn't great. We were seated at a table that was still dirty and noticed it seemed to be a pattern for other parties arriving. The food took about an hour to arrive. It wasn't anything special, just average. Overall I probably would not come back here nor recommend this place.

Visiting the new Egg Harbor in Downtown Decatur over the weekend for a Sunday breakfast. It is in a decent location however if you don't know the area you might not know where to park. (There is a deck where they do validate parking for) or there is street parking. The inside is open and welcoming. Very bright and a lot of space. They also have a spacious patio. All the workers were friendly and there to help you. We had two servers and they both were great. We ordered a sweet potato hash that was a special for the week and eggs Benedict. The hash was delicious! Unfortunately the egg Benedict did come out overcooked but they were very understanding and immediately brought out a new one that was cooked just right m! Their menu is pretty huge. It was difficult to figure out what to order because everything looked so good. People around us ordered the French toast and wow, that looked amazing. Definitely on my list for next time!

I honestly have to agree with the previous reviewer and say that my experience at Egg Harbor was just okay. I'd anticipated having an Egg Harbor in Decatur because my husband and I enjoy the Buckhead location. Parking was a bit of a headache, but we lucked up and found a space on the street in front of the restaurant. FYI street parking is free on Sunday. I also noticed that a lot of people parked at chick-fil-a since they were closed. We were greeted promptly and were seated immediately. I ordered the strawberry crunch French toast, bacon, eggs and potatoes. As we were talking, we noticed that the waiter hadn't been by in a while. He eventually came over and apologized for the backup in the kitchen. When our food arrived, it was lukewarm. I particularly enjoyed the bacon and potatoes. The French toast was decent and I could've done without the eggs. I did receive friendly customer service. I'm in no rush, but I may return since they're close by.

We had chicken & waffles, the waffles were fluffy and hot while the chicken was crispy and hot.

It was warm, and that's all this sandwich delivered. The porchetta was dry, chewy and bland. It was so bad that I didn't eat it all. And the pepperoni and soppressata didn't add any spice to the sandwich. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in soppressata! I thought the pepperoni mayo would add some kick as well and maybe it would have if there had been more than a half-tablespoon of it. And the bread was not fresh! I could have cried over this. The cost is outrageous for this kind of quality. On the upside, the service remains top tier and the space is still welcoming. But I won't be back. Fans were blowing away my napkins. When I paid in cash they rounded my bill up to the next dollar. Never had someone do that before. $34 for a cheesesteak, potatoes, and small drink seems to be overly priced at a take-out spot. It would be more understanding if you could dine-in or had waiter service. I ordered the Korean Cheesesteak with smashed fried potatoes and a Bourbon Peach Punch. The drink was tasty but really small to cost $10. It looked like a 6oz cup. I would prefer to pay $5 more for a full glass. The smashed fried potatoes were covered in a sauce and some of the best potatoes I have had anywhere. The cheesesteak was made with pork (also a new experience for me) and had plenty of cheese and onions.
