Paid $22.99 for this plus tax and tip. +$3.99 coleslaw. If you want to charge $23, it should be longer than 8", or at least be loaded, more bread than filling... this is ridiculous. $30 for this and a tiny bit of coleslaw.

Truly my favorite restaurant in Decatur. I've tried almost all the Po'Boys here and they are all really good. I'd say the alligator Po'boy is my favorite. For drinks I always get the 22oz purple voodoo. It's a great deal, really strong, tastes great, and you get to keep the souvenir cup. The lighting in the basement bar provides such a fun ambiance to the place. They also have a pool table, darts, and some arcade games to play on. They also have enough TVs that no matter where you are sitting you'll be able to see all the games that are on. It's a great spot for a date or even just to get your friends together. I've also been here several times and have never had any problems with a waiter. Everyone who works there seems really nice. And if you don't want to sit down and eat you can order your food to go upstairs.

Bread pudding still hits the spot! Even if you have never been a fan (I was not), the bread pudding here will change your mind. I brought three to go to bring to my front desk staff. Service was prompt and I enjoy the secret bar in the basement which you access by the staircase to the left of the register. Gotta be 21 years or older so I cannot bring my teenage son, but for a date lunch with husband, it works well. If you are wanting vegetarian, the oyster mushroom po boy is delicious!

Service wasn't that great, but the food and drinks hit. I got the shrimp Po'Boy and the Diabolico drink. I do like the decorations and I went in a trivia night. I'd come back.

My friend had mentioned this place, especially because it's really close to where he lives. I was surprised to see how large the space was in the lower level. We got seated right away since it wasn't that busy for a Thursday afternoon. We shared their Crawfish pie, alligator po boy, and debris po boy. The pie was really good, but definitely on the small side. Comes out piping hot so be careful. Both of these sandwiches were nicely filled and we were sure which one was necessarily better than the other. Would come again and can't wait to try more from their menu! Our waiter was nice and efficient with coming to our table. This is a very casual place that you can easily spend hours playing pool, darts, or watching a sports game.

I got the half and half - overall the sandwich was good but I coupon really taste the oyster, which I guess was overpowered by the shrimp. I also got the crawfish pies which were tasty but a bit pricey at $4 each given their size

I've been to The Po'Boy Shop in Decatur a few times now, and one thing I can always count on is their wings. This time, I ordered the Country Fried Cajun Chicken Wings, and once again, they did not disappoint. They were a good size, extra crispy, and packed with flavor--definitely the highlight of my meal. I also tried a cup of gumbo, but unfortunately, it wasn't to my liking. It didn't look or taste like the typical gumbo I'm used to, so that was a bit of a letdown. But it was very nice of them to comp it off my check.

Dope little spot!! You walk in to the counter at the front then the downstairs bar has a ton of tables and seating. I went with the double cheeseburger and it was great. Very simple, good meat blend, potato bun and special sauce top it off. The fries are delicious, like steak fries but thinner and crispier. My buddy had the surf and turf that looked amazing as well. Service was great, food is good, huge menu so there is something for everyone. Definitely recommend!

I've been meaning to come here for quite a while. I think I didn't because Hubby and I are frequent New Orleans so much and always go to the best po boy shops. But I was in the neighborhood yesterday and decided why not. First off the lady at the front counter is the nicest. Pleasant attitude and smile. I ordered the half and half (half shrimp, half oysters) fully dressed. It was very good. The remoulade sauce had a little kick that was just enough. Also the beer was really cold. I believe they even be using leidenheimer bread. Which is delicious. I see that they have a basement bar with pool tables, etc. I'm gonna bring Hubby with me next time and we'll check it out.

So I visited with my bro on 4-4-2026. Last time I visited this place was like 5'yrs ago maybe 4. I used to order a shrimp poboy sandwich or half and half shrimp &: oyster poboy combo to go. That particular time my sister was in town visiting so I brought her and my mom here for food. What happened next made us exit the restaurant immediately. The waitress had someone food order in her hand and the condiment fell on the floor and she picked it up and didn't throw it in the trash and wash her hands and get a replacement she put it back in the container and proceeded to walk downstairs to the basement. Hopefully the sanitary ethics have improved here. My brother has been going here recently with friends to shoot pool so I decided to give them a try again. After we parked we entered and went to the basement my first time in the basement. Keno and some other digital games available and Darts and 2 billiards tables. I went to the bar area and I got my brother a Stella and me a Guniess 0.0 NA beer. Be sure to get a receipt and check your funds that you received if you are getting change people can make mistakes and are only human. The bartender got the drinks and a server was over there. My bro and I were near the pool tables with a end table small space not a big table where other patrons were. The waitress was over there taking care of them and even past by us with out asking us did we need service or menus. My brother had to ask her literally. My brother ordered fried mushrooms and gator bites and I ordered a shrimp and oyster poboy. Everything came with a spicy remolaude sauce. Idk what happened the waitress might have had something on her mind or got it mixed up I received a shrimp poboy sandwich at first then my order got sorted out like I said mistakes happen and the other server took care of that with my oysters. The food order came out and it was alright.I enjoyed myself shooting pool a dollar per game using quarters iit's been a minute for me since my last game also my brother showed me something about Keno a friend showed him and played.

Not crispy no flavor what a shame

This trip drastically missed the mark, fries zero season, hush puppies ice cold asked for chicken and shrimp crispy both came out way to fast and breading sliding off cause they had not been fried properly , it's a shame this use to be a worth the drive place and now it's just a place . All in all there is to many options in the area for a place to fall this short .

I will say it was an okay experience at first with having a newer waitress. The food was decent until the dessert came out. The beignets looked amazing but they were covered in what Craig, one of the partners, said was baking powder. AFTER we already ate one each. The server took the plate without even explaining why they were taking the plate. Awful experience, Craig was very defensive and dismissive and only offered to comp the beignets and then walked away. Spent over $70 on brunch and was POISONED.

It's a walk up window spot with the menu and a bell, when you're ready to order, ring the bell. The service is friendly and succinct. Non invasive and just helpful without asking when needed. The seating area is a mix between covered and uncovered, with a small speaker playing contemporary tunes at a respectable level. There are string lights above, and I can only imagine how beautiful this all looks at night. I'd read a LOT about their fish sandwich. That it is a good size helping. That it has a great light fresh vinegar sauce with thinly sliced carrots and other crunchy veg. The fish tasted fresh fried. And I have to say, this is the Best fish sandwich I have ever tasted. I only am upset I hadn't come much sooner. I will have to return, probably on a monthly basis for that fish sandwich. There are enough pictures out there of the sandwich. But I also had the Thai basil lemonade and it was a nice pairing. Not a waste of time, effort or dough. Just go.

Bathrooms are extremely clean. Staff is friendly and fast. Cons. They only have outdoor seating. Most of the seats are stools without backs. There were some flies and a wasp lurking in the patio. Fans were blowing away my napkins. When I paid in cash they rounded my bill up to the next dollar. Never had someone do that before. $34 for a cheesesteak, potatoes, and small drink seems to be overly priced at a take-out spot. It would be more understanding if you could dine-in or had waiter service. I ordered the Korean Cheesesteak with smashed fried potatoes and a Bourbon Peach Punch. The drink was tasty but really small to cost $10. It looked like a 6oz cup. I would prefer to pay $5 more for a full glass. The smashed fried potatoes were covered in a sauce and some of the best potatoes I have had anywhere. The cheesesteak was made with pork (also a new experience for me) and had plenty of cheese and onions.

We had to get someone's attention because we noticed other people seated after us were being waited on. We ended up with Sienna as our server. She started us off with complimentary bread. We decided to order our cocktails, appetizers, and entrees since we had been waiting. I had the sangria, and my husband had the limoncello. We enjoyed both cocktails. For appetizers, we had calamari and cheese sticks, and the cheese sticks were definitely our favorite--they had a unique twist. For entrees, we ordered the lamb ragu and the chef's special, which was seafood ravioli. To end the night, we had the brownie sundae with salted caramel gelato. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. Although the service was a bit slow at first, Sienna was attentive. We look forward to visiting Paolino again in the future.

I'm doing this review to highlight this phenomenal team. I walked in, was greeted immediately. The young lady at the register was super nice. They always have the best cookies. I couldn't decide which cookie to get. She recommended the oatmeal. I said I wanted a fresh one since she said, they just finished baking. I don't know if the guy the the brought them to me was the manager on duty or what, but he went to the back and brought out fresh cookie tray then let me choose which one I wanted. Wrapped it up and handed it to me. After I checked out, without me asking, I wasn't even thinking about it, the cashier automatically offered me a cup for water. I don't know if this is new or not. I don't remember them doing this back in the day, you had to ask, but that was nice. While waiting, I looked towards the kitchen and even the cook was nice, nodded and smiled at me, essentially acknowledging me me from where he was. I had a really nice experience here today even though it was quick. I really wish I could do something other than this review for this team to be recognized 2/24/26 4:30pm. Even the guy on his break was nice. We laughed and joked real quick. None of these employees seem to hate what they do and it shows. Even the guy who I believed to be the manager on duty, super attentive to everything going on in the restaurant and kept moving and assisting the cashier. They all had great dispositions and really made me want to support this location. Highly recommend this F2O. They all made my day. I got the usual tenders and garlic mash. However, the cashier let me know that they had hot version of the tenders, so I got the hot version for the first time. The mash was dry and did not taste fresh, but the strips were fresh and really good. They definitely are more flat/thin than I remember. I approached the counter and there was nobody at the register, at first, but someone said they would be with me shortly. She returned to the register and took my order. I ordered the Southwestern Quinoa Rice bowl and added the blackened chicken. I was happy to see they offered a few different beer options, so I added a Dos Equis Amber Especial. They ran up my bill, provided a number and informed me that somebody would bring out my order. I headed outside, found a table, hung out for a couple minutes and the food was already arriving. Everything looked fresh and delicious. I reminded the server that I also ordered a Dos Equis so she had to go back and get that and returned quickly. I started digging into my quinoa bowl and it was very good. Something in the bowl was cold, I think it was the onions or corn relish, which threw me off for a little. After a few bites, I got used to it and kept going. Also I asked for no avocados and they still made it on the bowl. I continued eating and realized I really didn't need to add the chicken, the ingredients in the bowl itself were filling enough. The place was not really packed, but there was a steady stream of people coming in picking up to go orders. Looks like a popular place for the business folks in the area. Overall, a pretty good 1st visit and I would return if in the area. 3.5 rating
