Easy parking , I picked up my to go order I had the shrimp poy boy small lunch combo . They don't place your food under a warmer so it was cold when I got it . the sandwhich was good a little dry needed more sauce and a few more shrimp . I guess the service was ok , I didn't get my drink ..... it has another level downstairs that's big and cool to eat with groups are just hang out. I used the hot sauce in the bag which made it so much better !!!! I believe they have a shrimp poy with hot sauce I believe it's called crystal'd I recommend that !

I've visited this place a few times this year and each time I feel like it gets better! Their po boys are the best in Atlanta in my opinion. It's hard finding a po boy that has a good seafood:bread ratio and they've mastered it. This time I decided to branch out and try something different and ordered a brunch item - crawfish etouffee omelette. Highly recommend!! I also tried the jambalaya for the first time and it was also superb. They recently expanded their dining area as well and taken over the place next door. Before, they only had a small space for dining upstairs and the dive bar was downstairs making it not the most ideal place for kids. But since they've expanded, they now have additional seating upstairs which is much more family friendly. The prices are also very reasonable especially for such good quality food!

Paid $22.99 for this plus tax and tip. +$3.99 coleslaw. If you want to charge $23, it should be longer than 8", or at least be loaded, more bread than filling... this is ridiculous. $30 for this and a tiny bit of coleslaw.

Bread pudding still hits the spot! Even if you have never been a fan (I was not), the bread pudding here will change your mind. I brought three to go to bring to my front desk staff. Service was prompt and I enjoy the secret bar in the basement which you access by the staircase to the left of the register. Gotta be 21 years or older so I cannot bring my teenage son, but for a date lunch with husband, it works well. If you are wanting vegetarian, the oyster mushroom po boy is delicious!

Truly my favorite restaurant in Decatur. I've tried almost all the Po'Boys here and they are all really good. I'd say the alligator Po'boy is my favorite. For drinks I always get the 22oz purple voodoo. It's a great deal, really strong, tastes great, and you get to keep the souvenir cup. The lighting in the basement bar provides such a fun ambiance to the place. They also have a pool table, darts, and some arcade games to play on. They also have enough TVs that no matter where you are sitting you'll be able to see all the games that are on. It's a great spot for a date or even just to get your friends together. I've also been here several times and have never had any problems with a waiter. Everyone who works there seems really nice. And if you don't want to sit down and eat you can order your food to go upstairs.

Service wasn't that great, but the food and drinks hit. I got the shrimp Po'Boy and the Diabolico drink. I do like the decorations and I went in a trivia night. I'd come back.

My friend had mentioned this place, especially because it's really close to where he lives. I was surprised to see how large the space was in the lower level. We got seated right away since it wasn't that busy for a Thursday afternoon. We shared their Crawfish pie, alligator po boy, and debris po boy. The pie was really good, but definitely on the small side. Comes out piping hot so be careful. Both of these sandwiches were nicely filled and we were sure which one was necessarily better than the other. Would come again and can't wait to try more from their menu! Our waiter was nice and efficient with coming to our table. This is a very casual place that you can easily spend hours playing pool, darts, or watching a sports game.

Every crawfish season, I somehow find myself back at The Po Boy Shop in Decatur, and every time, I know I am likely signing up for inattentive service. Still, for the sake of crawfish on a Thursday, I give it another try. The setup is pretty much open seating, so you squeeze in where you can, which is fine. I was greeted promptly when I came in, but after being seated, that was about the last I saw of my server. I understand that the staff may help each other out, but no one really stopped by to check in, refill drinks, or make sure everything was going well. As for the crawfish, this first boil of the season was disappointing. They were mediocre at best and noticeably overcooked. Quite a few were already dead, so I did not eat those. The standout, as always, was the corn. The corn and the sides continue to be the best part of the bowl and were easily more enjoyable than the crawfish themselves. I am hoping this was just an off day because I may give them one more chance this season, but this visit did not leave much of an impression in a good way. For a place people look to during crawfish season, I really wanted the crawfish to be better.

I've been to The Po'Boy Shop in Decatur a few times now, and one thing I can always count on is their wings. This time, I ordered the Country Fried Cajun Chicken Wings, and once again, they did not disappoint. They were a good size, extra crispy, and packed with flavor--definitely the highlight of my meal. I also tried a cup of gumbo, but unfortunately, it wasn't to my liking. It didn't look or taste like the typical gumbo I'm used to, so that was a bit of a letdown. But it was very nice of them to comp it off my check.

I got the half and half - overall the sandwich was good but I coupon really taste the oyster, which I guess was overpowered by the shrimp. I also got the crawfish pies which were tasty but a bit pricey at $4 each given their size

Dope little spot!! You walk in to the counter at the front then the downstairs bar has a ton of tables and seating. I went with the double cheeseburger and it was great. Very simple, good meat blend, potato bun and special sauce top it off. The fries are delicious, like steak fries but thinner and crispier. My buddy had the surf and turf that looked amazing as well. Service was great, food is good, huge menu so there is something for everyone. Definitely recommend!

Anyone know if they serve beer or wine?

I was told by owner on my visit that they have applied for liquor license and were awaiting approval.

My sister and I split the Gaucho and the Yellowfin Tuna Melt (~$20 each). Pricey for sandwiches, but the quality is there. The Gaucho is packed with meat, almost too much, so the combo with chips helps balance things out. The Tuna Melt was the clear winner, Calabrian chilies with the tuna salad was a great call, though the bread-to-filling ratio could use some work. Overall, both sandwiches are delicious but could use some ratio tweaking. I'll be back to work through the rest of their rotating menu.

After many, many months (okay, years at this point), I returned. Unfortunately, I had the same experience with my order. I ordered the Hot Italian. It was warm, and that's all this sandwich delivered. The porchetta was dry, chewy and bland. It was so bad that I didn't eat it all. And the pepperoni and soppressata didn't add any spice to the sandwich. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in soppressata! I thought the pepperoni mayo would add some kick as well and maybe it would have if there had been more than a half-tablespoon of it. And the bread was not fresh! I could have cried over this. The cost is outrageous for this kind of quality. On the upside, the service remains top tier and the space is still welcoming. But I won't be back. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

It's adjacent to a parking deck and small. Very cozy, though! The menu is simple and it was a one-man show that day (other staff had left due to closing). LOVED IT! I did the hot chick ... yeah, I can get away with saying that ... and it was huge, overflowing, tender and fresh. This is a SOLID spot. My favorite is the ATL chick which is juicy fried chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce and... ANNNND... lemon pepper. Cmon. We're in ATL. What other way is there?! Then it has ranch drizzled on top and dressed how you want... lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. Even the bread is yummy. The sweet potato fries are crispy and airy and go great with the comeback sauce which is whatever smoky heavenly concoction they came up with as a sauce. Listen if you're in downtown Decatur...
