I stopped in on Sunday on a whim (an maybe a craving for Eggs Benedict). The parking lot was pretty full, as was the front waiting area when I walked in, so I expected a bit of a wait. But in less than 10 minutes, I was seated and ready to peruse the menu. They appeared to have several tasty options (note for self upon return....try something new!) but since I was absolutely dying for EB, I stuck with the classic. My server, "Griz", was quick with the coffee, fast with the food service, and just attentive enough to let me know he hadn't forgotten about me. Came her on a VERY busy Saturday morning with the husband and in-laws in tow. Everyone enjoyed their food, but the service was really poor. I get that you are busy, but 20 minutes before the server comes to the table? 10 more minutes before you bring our drinks? 10 minutes after that to take our order? Come on now. Our dining experience lasted over 2 hours, which is ridiculous for breakfast. We will return because the food was good, but propbably on a weekday. read more

Service is excellent! But the food is ok, I don't mean to complain about the portion, but it is small. I understand brunch is a small meal, but for me, I try to have a big brunch to keep me until dinner. It's not even that though, I feel like you pay more for a small amount of food. They also don't keep breakfast open all day which I mistakenly thought they did when me and a couple of friends saw the place. We thought, as a place focused on brunch, they would have a breakfast selection open all day to keep the theme. What a cute place, family friendly too. Went on a Saturday morning and the kitchen was fast, we were out & fed within an hour. I got the Chef's favorite Frittata with egg whites and it was so delicious. DH got the Classic Eggs Benedict and they were made to his order. When we both asked for the potatoes cooked to order, extra crispy they made them extra crispy. I will go back again. The management is very attentive and our server was upbeat and solicitous. The best breakfast spot in Annapolis! Don't get sucked in by the downtown "hot spots." This place blows them all out of the water. Quick, friendly service at prices just above Denny's and ihop (and WAY better quality). Big menu with a lot of delicious crab options. The Chesapeake eggs Benedict never disappoints. They also bake fresh muffins every morning. Once got a free one because they had a lot left over and we're getting ready to close. The food options are interesting--we've enjoyed the baked egg&veggie thingies which are, more or less, an omelet served casserole-style. I find the decor to be underwhelmingly unicolor--tan to be specific. My inner decorator--unqualified though she may be--longs to splash the place with some bright color accents. read more

Went here with my husband this morning. The wait was about 20 minutes. I got the crab hash, to me it was bland but after adding old bay hot sauce salt and pepper was good. My husband got steak and eggs Benedict, he said mine tasted much better. I didn't care for the atmosphere, it crowded and to me it feels like you are in a conference room in some hotel. Others around us didn't seem mind tho. Not that I'm listening but you hear everything everyone says, unless you're on phone or iPads like a lot were. Came here really hungry for a good breakfast.....It didn't deliver. Place is very nice and appears to be very clean. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered the American Breakfast. Two eggs any style, home fries, bacon and toast. I always order my eggs over medium and they came out as ordered. Good so far. I took my first sip of coffee and i was like "what is the weird taste"? I couldn't drink it anymore. Not sure what the issue was. So I'm looking at my breakfast and it appears to be edible. What i cant understand though is why are they serving me this on plastic plates? I'm not picky, but i didn't go eat at a truckstop for a reason..... So as i said, the eggs were fine. The bacon was crispy as i ordered it. The home fries had almost no crunch and i am sure they were frozen from a bag. It was just a very uneventful breakfast all the way around! I did like the fact that they give you an entire carafe of water on your table. All in all, not anything i would run back for. For $14 for a standard breakfast, I at least want to enjoy all of it. read more

My husband and I were seated right away this time but we waited almost 10 minutes before the waitress came by to bring us water and take our drink order. After another 5 minutes she came back with our drinks and took our order. A party of NINE were seated AFTER us but they got their food BEFORE us. They were almost done with their meal and we were still waiting for our food!!! The waitress never came out to refill my husband's empty coffee cup either as we waited for over HALF AN HOUR for our order! We walked out. This is our second experience here and I can't say we will be coming back. Our first experience we had slow service (but not as HORRIFIC as today) but the quality of food made up for it which is why we decided to come back today. Our first time here! Found this place thru Yelp and did not disappoint. We went here on a Friday morning, there was no wait and we were seated right away. The service was great! The server was friendly and courteous and our food was out in no time delivered to our table, if I'm not mistaken by none other than one of the owners himself. Had the crab hash which was great! Came through based on these glowing recommendations and my rating is based on service not food. My server was lovely but another employee seemed extremely unhappy. He cursed up a storm in my presence and that's not exactly the language I'm looking forward to hearing while enjoying my breakfast. The Marylander - crab omelet - fresh has browns that are moist and tasty, toast just right with fresh fruit preserves on table. Well managed and service attentive. The corned beef hash was bland and not substantive, my hubs crab Benedict was alright, we've had much more flavorful and the potatoes served with both were bland and greasy. I've been here twice; however, both times, it was nothing to write home about. I think they pre-cook a lot of the food and to me, my food tasted as if it had been refrigerated at one point and then re-heated. For example the fried potatoes had an old taste and were also burned. Wow! The "Yelpers" need to be reviewed! My family and I were excited to find a place near shopping with consistently good reviews. You all lead me down the primrose path to be sure. Our orders were pretty simple, the prices high for breakfast, but we figured good food is worth a bit more (especially around here). I ordered corned beef hash -- "fresh corned beef", with poached eggs on top. My wife ordered a western omelet and my son ordered a frittata. We all had coffee -- it was almost as bitter as a Hillary supporter. The table had two types of homemade preserves, peach and strawberry. I sampled both and they are both great! The food was served almost as soon as our orders were placed (really quick or pre-cooked waiting for a call from the bench?) My poached eggs definitely came from the "extra small" end of the dairy case. The hash and potatoes were a major disappointment. Spuds were the same breakfast spuds included with other dishes with no extra prep. The "fresh corned beef" was sliced corned beef chopped up and stirred in with the potatoes. What the hell! No crust, no flavor, no thanks. I ordered toast -- that means one slice of bread cut in half. I guess that is two pieces of toast in Annapolis (too bad our State leaders can't do the same with a dollar). Good news is I had a way to get some of that great jam to my mouth. Oh yeah, the sprinkled Old Bay on the eggs, too. Not my go to for eggs. Overall it was bland. They also have some sort of whipped butter that is white. My wife gave her omelet a solid 'meh'. My son's frittata was eggs cooked in a dish, not quite a frittata. He was very underwhelmed. All that for a mere $45. All I can say about those of you that gave high ratings is you need to concentrate on the food not just the service when you provide a review. Maybe we chose to dine on a bad day. This restaurant has become a regular for us. Serious homemade, fresh, tasty food...every single time! Nothing is over salted, which is a huge plus and shows the freshness of the food. Today we stopped in for the lunch, a first for us since we had always just ate breakfast at the Brunchery. The tuna salad was so fresh, as was the pasta salad. The sandwich was huge! And the service is just as good as the food! The gentleman who always greets us at the front is so polite and always has a smile. Can't say enough good things about this place! 5+ stars!!! read more
