Just had lunch at Eggcellence and it was great I had a modified chicken club (very accommodating on modifications) my daughter had a kids grilled cheese with chips instead of apple sauce and added bacon she ate it all so we know it was good(because kids r so picky) Gemma was great I guess my opinion may be bias to some because, I work there but I have worked there since Eggcellence opened almost 7 years ago so that has to say something about the owners employees and customers (because we have a very great clientele:-) ) Come and give us a try for yourself and let us know how we are doing and what you think. read more

We came in at around 1pm on a Saturday. Prompt service. Kind server. Food came quickly. Drinks were kept full. Server was attentive and courteous. Food was DELICIOUS! Our kids each had the banana blintz and my husband and I split the crabmeat hash. Our server even put it on separate plates for us! The restaurant was fairly quiet and had a great brunch atmosphere. After reading the review from Patrick H., I was excited to try Eggcellence. I have to say that I was a little disappointed with my experience. My husband ordered the eggs benedict and thought it was very good. The potatoes were a definate hit. I ordered the trio of blintzes which usually comes with lemon raspberry, blueberry and chocolate hazelnut. It is accompanied by a fruit cup. I was looking forward to my meal and almost laughed out loud when it arrived. I was expecting blintzes to be the size of most crepes, about 6-8 inches long. What I got was 3 tiny blintzes that averaged about 3 inches long each and a small cup of fruit. All three together were about the size of crepes in other restaurants. They were tasty, but for $9 I expect to feel satisfied by my entree. Thank goodness my husband was willing to share his potatoes or I would have been very hungry when I left. I do like having a carafe of water at the table, and the coffee was very good. We had no wait and the service was excellent. I would give it a second chance, but I would order something a little more substantial. read more

Eggcellence really lives up to its name. It's a lovely and homey establishment that ensures a good breakfast regardless of your preferences. The great idea of making various separated dining rooms really helps in keeping the noise levels down. I would give it 4 stars but some of the things they do well are let down by silly weaknesses. For example, they use plastic glasses on the tables for water, which are left upside down on vinyl place mats. As a result when filled with water the water picks up the taste and the smell of the vinyl. Either get glassware or use disposable paper place mats or NEVER place the plastic glasses upside down on the vinyl. I had Eggs Benedict. The food was very good overall, but fortunately I got the hollandaise on the side. Bleh, I suspect it was bought commercially. It could not possibly have been made in house. Staff is friendly and courteous. Prices are reasonable. I wanted to try some of their offerings from the griddle, but perhaps next time. read more

Service is excellent! But the food is ok, I don't mean to complain about the portion, but it is small. I understand brunch is a small meal, but for me, I try to have a big brunch to keep me until dinner. It's not even that though, I feel like you pay more for a small amount of food. They also don't keep breakfast open all day which I mistakenly thought they did when me and a couple of friends saw the place. We thought, as a place focused on brunch, they would have a breakfast selection open all day to keep the theme. Overall though, not a bad place to eat at if you run by it, just remember breakfast is over at 2:30(if i remember correctly). read more

We ordered a Chesapeake Eggs Benedict and a Baked Eggs Florentine. Long story short, the eggs benedict was great: perfect amount of old bay, generous amount of crabs and skillfully poached eggs. The florentine was not memorable. The english muffins and two jams on the table were better. I would go back for the eggs benedict. Cafe Normandies' version is a little better, but you pay for it and it's less convenient to get to (and the service is sloooow). read more
