What a crazy fun concept for a restaurant! This small but cute place is all about eggs and, as it turns out, chicken. We got the Chicken Peri Peri Sandwich (possibly my favorite), Goti Fry, Volcani Byriani and Dabeli (maybe this was my favorite?). I also had the Rajwadi Coco which was a nice desert like chocolate drink with cashews and icecream. All were delicious. The restaurant is counter service, quick and helpful with suggestions for us newbies. It's in a strip mall so parking is easy. Ah this small Indian restaurant is a place I'd never been to before and my first time having Indian food. I ordered some masala dish and it was spicier than I am used to. Good food but I think they assume spice level based on appearance and name. I order the egg pulav twice and the first time they asked if I wanted it mild and I told them no I am good with heat. It was not spicy at all. Second time I ordered it I ordered online and ordered it spicy instead of regular. Granted I could have ordered it extra spicy but I thought Indian was supposed to be extra spicy. I have a feeling they might alter the spice level based on your name FYI. But the food tastes very good otherwise. If you're expecting spicy just keep some hot sauce on the side like I do. read more

Hands down, some of the best Indian food we've had in the Boston area. How I wish this was closer to home! We were returning from New Hampshire and wanted to grab dinner on the way. Eggsmania came up in the search list and had great reviews. We easily placed our order online, probably one of their first ones of the evening since they open at 5 pm. It was a quick pick up and after an hour's drive home, the food was still hot. The surati gotalo had bits of chopped boiled egg in a tomato-onion base gravy (I'd guess). It was so good! Next, the chicken keema. It was cooked well, flavorful! Both of these came with a side of white bread, honestly, a great accompaniment if you cannot have the more traditional 'pav'. The best part about these dishes was the opportunity to try something new, rather than the same saag, tikka masala, makhani, etc. We also got the paneer volcano biryani which was tasty but I may not order it again. The other two, surati gotalo and chicken keema, are definitely on my 'order again' list. We're recommended from a lot of friends and finally gave it a try today for lunch. We being vegetarians were wondering if we had anything to eat at all before looking up and we're surprised to find a lot of veg options without egg. I used to drive for 5 hours to Jersey City to go to Eggmania. Thank god they opened one in Chelmsford. I still drive over 1.5 to get to Chelmsford but beats drive close to 5 hours. If you have never had Indian Egg dishes well this is the place for you. Try the Lasun Fry, Surti Gotala and their Cold Coco. I have tried few other dishes such as Volcano Biryani but was not a fan. The restaurant is clean and the service is fast. I wouldn't go here on the Saturday or Sunday night, they are extremely busy and the restaurant is small. We only go on weekdays and have never had to wait for a table. read more

Why is the food here so good??!!?? We were driving down and passing through Lowell. Looked up some options for dinner and was intrigued by this sorta wacky name "Eggmania." The dishes were interesting, and we loved the idea of all of these Indian dishes mostly revolving around the egg. The interior is nice and would be nice to sit down in, but we were doing takeout since we were passing through. The service seemed very friendly. The box of food we got seemed normal, didn't have any high hopes. But when we brought the food home and ate! Wow. Loved the chutney cheese sandwich. Ordered that one "very spicy" and there was a kick to it that I loved. Would order again and again. The paneer volcano was also really good. Loved the paneer and the flavors and also a new kind of food for me. Thought the butter chicken tawa was good but nothing special, and the chapati were also a little too thin. But all of the flavors were good, and I really did love that sandwich. Man. Even though it's a half hour drive, I can definitely see myself craving this kind of food in the future and driving out to get more. Only regret is that we didn't order more of their egg dishes! Today I got a chance to visit Eggmania. A franchise all over USA and expanding. As one can figure the whole menu is Egg influenced, be it Appetizer or Entree. I was greeted by a friendly staff at the counter. He offered his suggestion considering I never have eaten at restaurant. I picked volcano rice and butter chicken tikka masala among other things. Doesn't look much. A hole in the wall kind of place. But a great place for a quick and yummy bite. Their chapata paneer and chapata egg is a must try. Definitely do not miss the chicken kheema pav at this place. I visited the place with my friends and was not that excited about the place at first but once I tasted the food here, and I was hooked. We all loved the place so much, that after eating our dinner at the place, we even took to-go for breakfast and lunch for next day from the place. Heard great things about this place, so decided to give it a try. As stated staff is really friendly and courtesy. Ordered the Chicken Chatoata sandwich which was a surprise really good. Then ordered chicken keemo Pav, and butter chicken. Tawa and Paneer Masala. The butter chicken tawa did t specify it had cashew in the gravy and my son and I are highly allergic, this wasn't noted in the menu and should be so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Have been here twice in 4 days ! The food is finger linking lip smacking good. The flavors are original and blow my mind each time. Food is good. You can taste the butter and the cheese! However, it is pricey. When you look at the price of dish versus the quality of two slices of bread you get on side (which you easily grab a loaf from market basket.. it's the same ones!) it feels like you are being ripped off! Concept is nice, service is quick and good. But the food is mediocre. No taste, all you eat are raw spices, and majority of the egg dishes we ordered tasted same. Masala soda was nothing but soda and jaljeera mix, no proper taste to it. Masala papad is too much salt and chaat masala. Only lassi was somewhat good. It surprises me that this place has received so many 5 star reviews. I was one of their first customers and super excited to try this new Indian place. In spite of ordering all foods mild, they came out so spicy that our stomachs were literally burning after eating a couple of spoons. We had to throw out all that food. Dhaval took my order and he was very helpful and even made some good suggestions. We asked that the food be made mild with not too many spices and they made it exactly as ordered.
