Eggrolls are one of my favorite foods! I have been coming here since they opened and since then I have always gotten the EC Bubble Tea which is basically Thai Iced Tea and the Samosa Eggrolls. The staff is amazing and work very diligently to make every order come out perfect! The atmosphere gives you that " i don't want to leave, lets stay 5 more minutes" kind of vibe. I was never fond of bubble teas until i tried theirs. I can remember my first experience was their Honey dew Bubble Tea, the way it trickled down my throat and sent sweet delicious signals to my brain that i was enjoying one of the best drinks I've ever had. This place is amazing. I've never had a bad experience, and have pretty much enjoyed everything I've tried on the menu here. Spicy pork meal is awesome, Okinawa bbq is OK but not what I had expected. I had expected more of a sauce with it, but it was still pretty good. Crab rangoon eggrolls are to die for. My favorite combo is biting into a buffalo chicken then a crab rangoon with the buffalo dipping sauce. YUM. Kiwi slush with lychee jelly is BOMB, along with the Passionfruit slush w/ lychee. I've heard the thai tea is also great from my sister (which varies greatly across different restaurants, i like mine diabetic). Steak and cheese eggrolls are also great, and can't wait to try a thai tea slush at some point. Even writing about this place makes me crave it. This place is addicting, and you can't really say no to this price. Hope this place never changes. The owner is so kind and makes sure his team cares about the customers and that all orders are made exact. Hopefully I'll get lucky and get a gift card for xmas! I don't know if restaurants serving gourmet egg rolls are mostly a thing up here in Lowell or if it's a greater trend, but one thing is for certain: This place has a good thing going because I've started to see others getting in on the action. I honestly don't get much more than egg rolls when I go here so that's pretty much all I can review. If you don't understand the appeal of egg rolls then let me make an analogy. Think about all the basic types of breakfast and lunch sandwiches or foods: Tacos, fajitas, cheeseburgers, pizza, cheese steak hoagies, buffalo wings, curry and samosas at an Indian restaurant, crab rangoon and shrimp dishes at Chinese restaurants, etc. etc. Well, now imagine all those different foods into their own unique egg roll. That's what this place does. And they are delicious. Pizza tastes like pizza. Some of my favorites are Taco, Southwestern and Buffalo Chicken. The Samosa egg roll literally tastes like a Samosa, only it's just long now instead of a weird pocket shape. BTW, it's one of four vegetarian egg rolls. Most people get 2 orders, but if you're super hungry you can get 3. They've also got a platter you can order which comes with 16 egg rolls in 4 different varieties (your choice). I've brought this to potlucks before and I can tell you that they will be gone in about 5 minutes. They even come with dipping sauces, and they *mark* them so you know which is for which. The ambience is a bit like a more cozy Subway, almost like the front seating areas at a Panera. It's bright but not too bright. It's very public, and it's a bit of a college hangout so lots of young people, however the food is top notch and the coffee and bubble tea is a big draw. There are tables to sit but you order at the counter, pay and then wait for the food to come out. There are board games and there is nice art on the walls, usually by local artists if I recall (it's been a while but I remember them changing out art on a regular basis and even letting artists have small receptions, not sure if they still do that). read more

I love this place! I'm very particular about my food (I need to know exactly what's in it) and the owner of the store was so patient with my questions when I called in. He probably thought I was insane, but he was very nice and informative. I was so pleased and it definitely put me in a great mood. Normally when I ask food questions like that I get shrugged off with an eye roll and an "I don't know". On that note: Good news to those who don't eat eggs! Unless the egg roll specifically says it contains eggs (Ham, Egg, and Cheese for example), you're safe! If you're with a few people, get the platter of egg rolls. It's a good deal. You can choose four varieties and I believe there's four egg rolls for each variety. Their Penang Curry Soup is an absolute must try. I need to let it cool down before I eat it though because it's served very hot and very spicy. It's amazing! The Mango and the Kiwi flavors of Bubble Tea are my favorite. It would be 5 stars if it was a tad more affordable and had a wider selection of vegetarian egg rolls :). read more

Two stars, because the location is good and the internet service was strong. I have several problems with Eggroll Cafe. 1) Bubble tea is made from powder, and the bubbles were slimy, which happens when they are old. I've had real bubble tea, and this stuff taste like soupy chalk. Yeck! 2) The roasted Island Chicken bento box was flavorless, the chicken was a poor cut of meat (skin pieces on it). The rice was a nice texture though. 3) The southwest eggrolls (recommended) was oozing with a strange cream sauce. 4) The Kobe beef looked like Salisbury steak- Japan would be ashamed. 5) The menu lists the eggrolls, but not the fillings!! The workers don't even know the filling when asked, even McDonalds lists their ingredients! Two nights ago, I went to Eggroll Cafe with some family members because we had heard about the various types of eggrolls and had to try them out. Everyone working there was exceptionally kind and friendly. They explained the whole menu, gave their input, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the product once served. We got one order of their chicken fried rice to try and not only did they give a hefty portion, but it was scrumptious! The eggrolls we tried included: pork, buffalo chicken, chicken curry, steak and cheese, and the crowd favorite..... the crab rangoon! The ingredients inside the eggrolls were so fresh making them exceptionally flavorful and we really enjoyed the different sauces that were served with them. Great service! Friendly staff! Our first time trying bubble tea. Everyone was patient and explained the menu to us. We tried the Crab Rangoon, Shrimp and Chicken & Basil egg rolls which were crispy and stuffed with just enough flavor to enhance the fresh ingredients but not overpower them. Served with three sauces.. a vinaigrette, sweet and sour and marinara to make the perfect accompaniment. We also tried the Vegetable samosa which was spicy, sweet and pillowy yet oh so crispy. My husband tried a Mango slushie bubble tea with tapioca bubbles and I had the Lychee bubble tea with tapioca bubbles. Our server explained how to use the straws and walked us through our decision by explaining all the Flavors including the "bursts" including letting us try the lyche and tapioca bubbles. We were extremely happy with both our choices. The ambience, a laid back space with lots of light and seating including some leather couches. Definitely a spot I recommend. Awesome find. I've never been Disappointed with the Eggroll Cafe. The staff is amazing.. they seem to go above and beyond their jobs which makes it that much more pleasant to be there. The bubble tea is great. I usually get a raspberry iced tea whenever I go. They just added samosa eggrolls to their menu which totally freakin' rocks. I couldn't even begin to explain how excited I was when they did that. I stopped by one afternoon and order some eggrolls, and the owner took notice that everything I ordered was vegetarian.. so he came over to talked about all the different vegetarian options they have and gave us some samples of some of the new drinks they have. This place is nice inside, good customer service, and the food is excellent when consistent. I ordered a salad and it was perfect the first time, the second time I went it was wet, and because of the water completely gross. They need to be consistent with prepping these items because wet salad is nasty. I ordered some steak and cheese rolls and they were good, but way overpriced and barely even satisfies your hunger. I was really excited to try this place but didn't find it as great as expected. We ordered the egg roll platter (fajita, cheeseburger, curry chicken, basil chicken) to go with a couple of non bubble teas. The pizza style, which was recommended by friends as the best to try, was sold out. The teas were made and given promptly, However we had to wait at lest 30 min for the platter. When it came out, it was for eat-in. So we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for it to be wrapped up. Once home the egg rolls were lukewarm(the drive was only 5-10 min) and small. The fajita was a bit spicy for my weak threshold, the curry chicken was my favorite. The basil chicken had an odd texture. The cheeseburger was ok, it seemed like it needed more flavors that are found on burgers. And honestly, if it's two people who are very hungry, this platter won't fill you up. read more

Bubble tea is so hard to find in the suburbs, let alone good bubble tea. I was so happy to find this place because now I don't have to drive all the way to Boston Chinatown. I wish the bubbles were a little sweeter, but my almond milk bubble tea was pretty sweet, so it made up for it. I ordered the regular and samosa egg rolls. They were perfectly fried, yummy delicious, and nice and piping hot. I think the best part of this place is their customer service. The girl who helped me was very nice and although I had lots of questions, she answered all of them, always with a smile and a giggle.
