    Coconut iced coffee $7

Heard great things about the coconut iced coffee. It was as delicious as I imagined it to be. Bitter but sweet! I also grabbed some beef crisps (3 bags) and spicy twa ko (sausage). I wished I would have tried some of the sandwiches because they looked so delicious too but when I visit Lowell again, I'll be back!

I've been returning here for their iced coconut coffee!! I crave it sometimes and have to make my way there. It has the perfect kick and also creaminess with the coconut. I also get their special banh mi which has a lot of meats and flavoring. I highly recommend!

Delicious spicy beef chips! A tad expensive for the amount you get. Compared to other beef chips you get around 2-3oz more for the same price. I tried their: -coconut coffee: the coconut cream that was put in smelled a little off. It gave me a bit of a stomach ache. -pha lau: tasty! Comes with veggies and a sauce. Would buy again The service was decent. Only one person working so it took a bit of time.

Nom pang pate! Don't confuse this with banh mi, while similar this is the Cambodian version. There are subtle differences like the use of papaya slaw vs. daikon. It was my first time here and I was a bit deceived. I thought that would be a selection of hot foods like cafeteria style but they only make sandwiches. I ordered the regular which came with headcheese and pork loaf. The bread was huge and nicely toasted. With how big the bread was, I wish there was more filling. The order came out in about 20 minutes. They were busy. I picked up some twako to take home.

This is an avocado, smoothie, unsweetened and delicious!

I got a Mani & a Pedi at Perfect Nail Salon. A couple of doors down and they told me that is an excellent take out a few doors down. Excellent sandwich I got mine to go. I got the sandwich special also got an avocado smoothie. I had the sandwich for lunch and I had a smoothie for supper. This meal was under $20.

Regular banh mi with spicy sauce. Not bad for cambodian style banh mi. Would definitely recommend over yummys.

Good service, delicious sandwiches and she has added a lot more variety of food options for take out that I've yet to try! Her cured sausages are yummy. Great local takeout place for lunch/dinner.

The only good thing is their durian drinks!! It's bomb! Food needs flavors! Too pricey and not great!

So I get a large Chip's Tip sub and a few pastries for snacks. The bill was steep for what I got but I thought it would be worth it for my son to try the sub. After getting it, we split the sub and ate it in the car. Let me tell you that this was not the same steak tip I remembered. It was so bad, we tossed it in the garbage at the gas station next door. The steak was very tough and hard to chew - almost like the tips had been cooked earlier and then reheated for my order. Everything just seemed greasy. We also did not enjoy the raspberry turnover or yellow cream cannoli's we got for dessert. Maybe it was us or maybe it was the food but I will never go there again. We are not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, and I rarely will say anything bad about a restaurant experience but we ended up going to Augusta's which is just a little bit down the road, for chicken just to erase this experience from our mouths. I know a lot of people will swear by their steak tip subs and that is great but it's just not for me anymore.

I just finished reading all the reviews and while most of them were positive and well deserved, a…read morecouple of things stood out that I think deserve some comment. Before I get to them I want to jump on the bandwagon and say Rob and Jannette (the owners) are some of my favorite people now. I park my car in the garage across the street from them and feel a gravitational pull to the market every time I park. I sometimes go in there with no need and no idea why I'm going in and walk out with something special. Now to the complaints (which were few but shouldn't go unchallenged). First, some complained that the prices are high. That's true, as well as inevitable at such a small scale. I know the owners aren't becoming rich via this venture. If you're the type of person that only considers prices when forming a value statement, you might be better off going to BJ's. For me, value is a complex calculation that doesn't actually result in something that you can put a dollar sign in front of. I live in the neighborhood so convenience is a factor. The selection, in particular the beer and wine choices, is something that I literally can't find at any other grocery store nearby, thanks to the invisible Puritans in my state that voted down a referendum to allow grocery stores to sell beer and wine. Much of what's available is sourced locally. More important than those, and something that I saw in many reviews, is the wonderful relationship I have with the owners. I can't even walk past the place without a friendly wave from them. They know their products and are happy to answer questions about them. And they know me. They know I try to only eat vegan foods, their amazing Muffaletta sandwich being a notable exception. They know I'm allergic to chocolate. As a regular customer, I get special treatment from them. Try THAT at Market Basket! Just this morning, I ran out of turmeric and ran to the market. They didn't have it on the shelf, but they had it in the kitchen. Rob got me what I needed and refused to take my money. What's something like that worth to you? I also saw some people complain that the produce can be on the edge of spoilage. I can't deny that there have been times when I purchased things only to have them inedible the next day. I understand that this is just normal for a small, owner-operated grocery store with moderate turnover and minimal staff. But instead of writing them off, I alert them when I think something in the display fridge should be removed. Also, I don't stock my refrigerator from MSM. I buy what I need when I'm going to use it and inspect it before putting it my shopping basket. In other words, I don't attempt to treat them like a tiny Hannaford. I treat them like an amazing pantry, which is easy for me since they're in the neighborhood. Before the MSM opened the city conducted a survey among downtown residents that attempted to figure out what types of businesses people would most like to have appear in the neighborhood. A small grocer was at the top of most resident's preferences. I'd like to remind people that now that we have one, we'd better use it... or we'll lose it. I'd also add that whatever problems may exist at MSM, they'll only get better if we reach out to them the way they've reached out to us.

Market Street Market is the only locally-owned grocery store as of the time of writing this. The…read moreowner of the store also owns the building, and he is as friendly and helpful as anyone could ask for. The market carries a nice assortment of fruits and veggies (mostly local), deli meat & cheese, pastas, sauces, breads, coffees, etc. They have a great MA-roasted coffee that is excellent, and you can even get fresh-squeezed OJ by the glass - there's a fancy contraption that allows you to watch the process - or you can get watermelon by the slice. Perfect for those hot summer evenings. There are some muffins and pastries if you need a quick snack, frozen foods, and a decent selection of laundry soaps (like method) and other household necessities. In short, pretty much anything (basic) you'd need to run your home, especially if you already eat out several nights a week. They're open 8am - 8pm. Also, since it's a smaller store, I'm assuming that the owners will stock anything you ask for if there is a growing demand for it. They seem pretty flexible and are definitely open to opinions and feedback on how to make store as good as they possibly can. So why didn't I give it 5 stars? Well, it is pretty small, so there's no way they can stock EVERYthing that I need, which means I'll still probably have to go to a larger store for some things. That and the prices have to be a little higher because they get such small quantities. Otherwise, I'm a fan. I'll try to get at least a few items there every week just to keep them in business, because it's something that was sorely missing from the downtown Lowell area. Stop by and check them out! Tell 'em Jen + Tommy sent you :)
