We loved the food here-this was our first time at an Eggs Up! The shrimp and grits were amazing! Perfectly cooked shrimp were complimented with cheesy grits as usual, but the kicker was, they were full of vegetables as well! Best ever, in my opinion! Very good bang for your buck! I have spent most of my life living in cities that take brunch serious af so I expect a 4.5 star breakfast place to wow me. Eggs Up did not do that. It is probably one of the best Albany has to offer but still, I despise bad scrambled eggs and they jacked mine up here. Dry crumbly blahh The sweet potato waffle sounded better than it was . As did everyone elses food but it wasn't any better than you would expect from Dennys or IHOP. They catered a brunch for 22 people for me on 12/23/23. The whole experience was absolutely awesome. There was nothing that could have been better. Words are inadequate to describe the service or the food. Our guest were exceptional complementary of the food and service. Stopped by this diner a few days ago and it was everything and more. Let me start off by saying the diner is extremely clean, definitely one of the cleanest diners i've ever been to. I ordered my food and about 8 minutes later it was in front of me. The service is as quick as it gets. I ordered a typical breakfast, french toast, eggs, sausage and house potatoes. Everything was really good and cooked to perfection. My food was so fresh. I also have to give a shoutout to my waitress Tasha! She was soooo cool! I got out of work a little early and was looking for a good breakfast spot. Im happy I stumbled upon Eggs Up Grill. I got the Corn Beef Hash Benedict andbit was delicious! The corn beef was awesome and the hollandaise was delicious. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review is one of my eggs were slightly overcooked. Clearly a very popular place, as it was quite crowded. But we were able to grab a seat at the counter without having to wait! Staff was very friendly & helpful. We ordered the eggs benedict & breakfast burrito, both of which were delicious! This is a solid lunch and brunch spot in Albany. I was really impressed with the option to put my name on the wait list via Yelp on an early Sunday morning. The wait tell was estimated at 10 minutes, I put my name down for a table on the drive there and by the time I parked my car the table was ready. They gave your typical breakfast and lunch faire including eggs, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches and burgers. The bacon is cooked fresh to order and I like that it is lean, thick and crisp. I had the grilled chicken wrap which was decent but did not have the avocado that was promised. The waffles are thick and fluffy and I like that they keep the bottle of syrup at the table for people like me with a super sweet tooth. Food was awesome, however the attitudes from the servers just plan Albanian...I hate being here..I hate serving people.. you're bothering me... when am I getting off. What these servers forget or have never been trained in is, the people coming in choose to and they might be going through something and a friendly upbeat personality could make a world of difference. I had planned on tipping, but I WILL NOT DUE TO BAD ATTITUDES. Whatever you've got going on whether you're beefing with coworker, or you have issues at home DON'T transfer it to the people coming in, they pick up on it and don't want to come back to it. And this was my second time, last time was two years ago before the Covid, so for me to come out to a restaurant and receive that treatment. The menu looks great, but the wait is really long. They are quoting 30-45 minutes only ten minutes after they said, "It will be about 15 minutes." People were walking out. One guy turned and the host actually touched the guy to get him to turn around so he could tell him about the "Nowait" app. I did not think that was a good idea. Then I went to walk to my table and he touched my arm as well. Not taking away for that, but I did not particularly like being touched by some random guy. Our waitress, Chris (female), was eggcellent. The kitchen was backed up and the place was packed, but she kept our drinks full. My wife was appreciative, because she loves coffee. The food came out relatively fast. We were done eating within an hour of arrival, so things were smooth even with the wait. My wife was very satisfied with her Benedict Hash. The poached eggs were done well, but she lamented that there was not more lemon. Perhaps she could have gotten one on the side. The BLT was great, but it could be much better. It needed a second layer of everything to get more juice and flavor. It would have helped the bread, because it was hard. It was also a ratio of about 2:1 bread:filler, and it really needed to be 1:1. All in all it was a good experience and the staff morale seemed high. I'd recommend giving it a try. In town for a conference and found this place thru Yelp and was not disappointed. The service was great and the food was awesome. We almost did the tried and true Cracker Barrel breakfast, but Eggs Up Grill has them beat by a country mile. My co-worker had the egg white omelet and I had the two egg traditional breakfast. The service and food quality is so much better than any Waffle House or Cracker Barrel. read more

I figured it's primarily a breakfast place so the next day I ordered the buckwheat pancakes. The first order came out and they were burned. I was surprised they even brought them to the table. The second order was burned too! By that time, I was under a work deadline and just ate them. They were mushy on the inside and burned on the outside. They had very little buckwheat flavor at all. Unfortunately, the large white female behind the counter in the cooking area continued to shout "RACHEL" whenever Food was in the window. this Is incredibly disturbing to the atmosphere of the place- plenty of lighting, plenty of food/ drinks and service and even great music. But this lady shouting behind the counter is just wild. if you come here just be prepared for a crazy lady to be yelling randomly when food is ordered. First couple times everything was fantastic last two times my order has been wrong... I ordered the goodness gracious which is a veggie omelet with egg whites and I added ham and no cheese I pointed at it too but the waitress did not pay attention or make any eye contact There's two veggie omelets on the menu so she should've clarified which one I was ordering I blame the lack of attention on the hand held tablets the staff uses to take orders I feel they consume all the staffs attention and take away from the experience of a server being personable and actually caring about the client When someone takes time to write my order down it is less likely to come out wrong But in all fairness maybe on that tablet she was playing solitaire while she took my order read more
