This place has potential. Great space. Wonderful menu, a lot of options for Vegetarians and vegans. That's the best part about this place. I ordered the veggie omelette and the pecan sweet potato pancakes. The omelette was way too greasy. I tried to soak up the grease with a biscuit but it was still pools of what was either grease or butter. It made my lips shine like lip gloss. Very nasty. The server, Tosha, was very short and rude. She didn't ask us how we are doing nor when our food came did we need anything else. I never got my water I ordered. I over heard her treating other customers the same way. Long story short. Go here if you want clogged arteries early in the morning and poor customer service. If this is the "best" Albany has for brunch, poor Albany. read more

If I could do less than one star I would. This place was absolutely terrible and is a health hazard waiting to happen! My husband and I ate here while passing through Albany (based on the raving reviews) and boy were we disappointed to the point where all you could do was laugh. First off, everything was cold. The scrambled eggs were fluorescent yellow and had the consistency of rubber. The avocados were brown and tasted rotten. My husband had the sausage gravy and while the biscuits were burnt black, the gravy was so thick and pasty it HAD TO COME FROM A CAN! I come from a huge family of chefs and restaurateurs and this was awful. Also the grits were definitely watered-down INSTANT GRITS and the plates smelled like they weren't even cleaned fully before using. I kept getting a weird odor from the plates but I'm totally honest. Last but not least my husband and I had to pull over 3 times in an hour to use the restroom afterwards. What little food we did eat came right back up and did not sit well at all. I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews, and it's unfortunate, but this had to be said. I'm sorry but we will not be returning to this restaurant. Good luck everyone. read more

I had the French toast. The bread was very dense. But it was good. Cheese grits were, well, grits. The home style potatoes were amazing! I'm not big on potatoes, but these were da bomb! Mom had a waffle and eggs w/sausage. The waffle was light and fluffy. She didn't say anything about the eggs or sausage but she ate it all. She said the coffee was great. I've never heard her say anything about coffee. Ever. So it must have been good stuff. I was disappointed that the place wasn't cleaner. There were 5 tables/booths occupied, but most every empty booth still had plates on them. We got there around 11am, so I assume they hadn't caught up in the breakfast rush. The atmosphere wasn't as homey as I had hoped for, but this place ain't Cracker Barrel. Over all, I enjoyed it and would eat there again! read more

This place seems to be a favorite among locals. But it's Albany GA, so not to many other great choices for breakfast and brunch outside of the local IHOP, Cracker Barrel and Waffle House. Good food and lots of choices. Staff was very friendly. Location easy to find. They close at 2pm. I arrived at 1:20pm. I ordered an extra side at 1:50 and was told that they could not do it because it was close to closing. If I walked in at 1:50, which is still before closing time, I would still expect service. I've worked and served in restaurants before and my parents also owned one. Customer server is extremely important especially when people have other choices to go eat at. This is my only complaint. Unfortunately it's one that counts a lot. read more

We visited from West Palm Beach and ate at Eggs Up Grill and had a stellar breakfast! The menu was full of so many good choices, and as a party of 7 we were all able to get something we loved. I had the greek omelet and it was excellent! The staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was pretty cool. A lot of work has been put into making this restaurant feel like a good breakfast joint, and I highly recommend that anyone from Albany or Lee County, or basically all of sowega come and have a good breakfast at Eggs Up Grill! read more

Went for breakfast, rather long wait because we were a party of six which was understandable on Saturday mid day but then our food was served cold, not even warm. Some of our party ate theirs cold because they were hungry, others asked for food to be reheated and one asked for their eggs to be re made and when the new plate of food was served eggs had been prepared over medium instead of over easy. Corned beef hash was a huge disappointment, looked and tasted like cheap canned hash or cheap dog food from a can. Those who ordered omelette's were pleased with taste but again all six meals were served cold. Server was pleasant as was hostess. Personally I don't recommend because of kitchen staff abilities. Shame management wasn't seen over seeing staff or providing any assistance during such a busy time of day. read more

Simply delicious! I ate the sweet potato and pecan waffle and I wish I could eat another. The pecans were bug and fresh and their cinnamon syrup was the perfect add on. Service was great from the momento you step into the door and the host greets you, service was very helpful and the owner went around greeting everyone. My husband and I woke up on the first day off we've had in weeks and decided to go to Eggs Up based solely on the Yelp reviews. We walked in, found the restaurant mostly empty and a server shouted across to us "seat yourselves!". We said alright, found ourselves a booth and sat down. We sat for 15 mins(I timed it) with no employees so much as batting an eye towards us; another couple walked in, sat down in the booth directly behind us and IMMEDIATELY got menus and asked for their drink order. Great new spot in Albany. Drove by this place as it was being built and was glad to see it open. I had been to the one in Alpharetta so I knew it should be pretty good. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. It seems to have really caught on as it can sometimes get pretty busy. We've found that going before 8am for breakfast is a good time. We've been about 4 - 5 times already and tried something different each time. The food is always fresh and hot. The home fries are awesome! How can you go wrong with potatoes sauteed in butter? They are made the way I like to make them at home. The dishes with the homemade corned beef hash are really good, especially the corned beef benedict. The only thing we aren't completely sold on is the gravy. It's pretty bland for homemade gravy. Needs some seasoning of some kind. The sausage in the gravy doesn't help much. Other than that we haven't had anything we will not order again in the future. Go check this place out. I'm sure lunch is just as good as breakfast. read more

I love this place! The food is homemade and you can really tell. The atmosphere is chill and not overwhelming. Everyone has been super nice every time I have been in there. I don't really get a chance to go like I want due to them closing at 2pm, but when I do, the service is great and the food is just as good getting it to go on my lunch break. Great place with room to be excellent. The food was delicious but served on melamine dishes and lost the heat quickly. Coffee was hot and servers attentive. I live in Charlotte, NC but visit Albany GA at least once a month due to my boyfriend living there. He always knows when I'm in town that Sunday mornings are for Eggs Up! It's my favorite place to eat because the menu has everything. I always get the Eggwich on wheat with extra crispy turkey bacon and grits on the side. I LOVE THEIR GRITS! My boyfriend loves their omelettes and their chicken philly. Everything is delicious their. The staff are ALWAYS so kind and efficient. We just finished eating breakfast here this morning. Almost everybody at the table got the southwest bowl. That thing is HUGE and super filling! I highly recommend!
