Wonderful egg dishes of evey variety, pancakes, waffles, soups, wraps, sandwiches of all kinds. You will have to ask for a box to go! The service is just right. We were disappointed when we came to Eggsclusive Cafe at 9:00 this morning and were told that the patio is for adults only. Since Eggsclusive's facebook page says "good for kids," and we had our six-month old with us, we were disappointed that eating outdoors wasn't an option. We have heard good things about this restaurant, but decided to go elsewhere so we could enjoy the nice weather with our daughter. read more

How's the food at this place? Well, since their host/hostess isn't competent, I don't really know. Put our name in for 2 people, and stood by the podium waiting for what was to be about 15 minutes. Start to notice people who came in after us being seated. Asked why- they said 'We've called your name numerous times and you never answered'. Baloney! We were literally standing next to the podium where you check in and pay. We are not deaf, old, or stupid, so this didn't play well for us. Given that it is super loud and unruly in there, they should have a pager system. And perhaps actually ask the people on both sides of the waiting area their names. Go somewhere else. read more

I came in for brunch around 11:30 on a Sunday. We had about a 20 minute wait. We started off with a Bloody Mary and a Rumchatta coffee. Both were pretty light on the alcohol for the price but good none the less. My friend had the crab cakes Benedict and loved it. I had the Señor something or other, it was really good too! The service was pretty good, though it seemed our waitress was overwhelmed and didn't check in often enough for my taste. I have to deduct a star for the noise level. It was overwhelming and difficult to carry on a conversation. I won't be back until nicer weather so I can sit outside or management decides to get their head out of the sand. There are few times when the music in a restaurant can't be heard because of the ambient noise, but this was the worst case of hard space reverberate crowd and dish clatter noise I've ever experienced. Sometimes I couldn't hear the music, and conversation was difficult. The place wasn't close to half full, so a decent crowd would make it even more painful. I could hardly wait to finish and get out of there! The food was good; the coffee flowed freely...er, wrong word....at $2.49, it wasn't free, but it was replenished often. We stopped in town en route to Wisconsin and wanted a local breakfast - we are so pleased we found this cafe!! Everything was great, and the portions are generous; a few items deserve special mention: sliced-off-the-bone ham was spectacular and the fresh-squeezed orange juice, on its own or in a mimosa, were perfect! Toast and English muffins were nicely toasted, the house-made strawberry jam was perfectly sweetened. Omelets include 5 eggs and a healthy portion of the various selected ingredients! Nivia was an outstanding server and the coffee never stopped flowing! They even offered us coffee-to-go - nice touch! This has to be the BEST BREAKFAST place in town. We were passing through and saw this place and yelp. The pictures made us want to stop. Not only were all the other reviews correct about the food, but the portion sizes were huge. We had to try the steak skillet (I forget the name of it)? It filled the whole plate filled with steak, mushrooms, diced onions and peppers topped with provolone cheese and scrambled eggs. In all my years I've never had a bigger or better skillet. We orderd the fresh squeezed OJ which was also amazing and delicous tasting to wash this monster down. My wife orderd the ham off the bone, asparagus, and mozzarella omlette. This was very fresh and flavor packed. It came with choice of potatoes or hash browns and pancakes. Huge portion sizes. The toast I got with mine came with a amazing one of a kind raspberry jam. Went here based on high rating. Should have checked menu prices also. Found the place to be very expensive and there is nothing on breakfast menu below 7.99 not even the oatmeal. Decide to split the Benedict and of course got charged a split fee. My wife says split fees are normal but most of the breakfast places back were I live don't do it. The basic Benedict was ok but the diced potatoes were not to our liking as there were deep fried or well cooked in oil. For Sunday morning at 8:00 it was only 1/4 full which was surprising. Would give five stars but inside the building is extremely loud. It's difficult to have a conversation or enjoy your meal when your ears are constantly being overwhelmed. After removing the crab cake from my Benedict because it wasn't fresh, I ate the egg and English muffin. Because I worked in the service industry for many years, I am always polite and try not to complain but when the waitress asked how everything tasted, I was honest. She politely said that she would let her manager know who would likely discount the bill. When she came back to the table I was told there would be no discount because I had eaten it. I pointed at it still on my plate missing a bite and stated that I didn't eat it. She then said that she would send the manager over to discuss. Manager Emily told me that there is nothing wrong with their product and she can't help that there is something wrong with my taste buds. Several others had previously ordered with no complaints. It tastes fishy because it is seafood as if I've never had crab before. She then asked if I needed anything else. I said that an apology would be nice and she asked for what. I said for calling me a liar. She asked that I not put words in her mouth. If you tell me that there is nothing wrong with the product but I say that there is, you are in fact saying what I have said is NOT truthful/a lie. We paid using a gift card that still has money on it and I'm so hurt and disgusted at the way I was treated, it will not be used. P.S. Ever since I found out about Eggsclusive Cafe 2, I knew I had to try it. Once I did, I was in breakfast heaven. It is the best breakfast/brunch place in Rockford and anywhere I've eaten! The food is reasonably priced, DELICIOUS, appetizing to the eye, and the food portion is big. (Did I mention it's the best breakfast ever?) The orange juice is to die for as it is very fresh. I'm a big foodie and am going to culinary school so trust me, this place is fantastic. Since my first time here, my boyfriend and I have come almost every weekend! I've suggested Eggsclusive to many of my friends, and they have all loved it! The service is excellent (or as my boyfriend would joke "eggscelent") and everyone is super friendly! I have never had to wait a long time to get my food or for anything in that case! My favorite has to be either the Eggs Florentine or Eggs Arlington. This was my first time trying an Eggs Benedict and now that's all I get (well, most of the time). Basically, anything is great here. I could go on but I say most of these reviews together make a clear point: Eggslusive Cafe is wonderful, delicious, and a must-go for breakfast. I come here all the time and it is great. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because they changed their menu a few months ago and I think it was much better before. They made it less vegetarian friendly by creating "combos" which allow you to combine savory and sweet, which I think it a great idea, but I wish they had a combo option that did not include meat because I oftentimes want a sweet and savory combo but I do not eat meat. Anyway, they have great benedicts, their omelettes are huge and come with enough food for 2-3 meals total, their french toasts are all great (strawberry nutella and cinnabomb are the best though), and their strawberry orange juice is worth the price. I would recommend going here if you are willing to pay $15 for breakfast, because you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to quality and portions. read more
