Decent portions and great menu but service is lacking. Next time get my breakfast to go.. Waited too long for service to get check.

In an attempt to get out for more walks with my partner, we thought we would make it fun by trying restaurants in our area every now and then and walking to the location. Most recently, we went to Eggspress and it was delicious! The food itself comes in great portion sizes, the fruit is fresh, and everything we ordered was extremely tasty. They have a lot of healthy options which I was happy to try. Although, I will need to get my own hash browns next time- they were so tasty! The ambiance is really nice too. Absolutely loved this breakfast spot. It was somewhat close to the airport so we were able to eat here before our flight. They were busy, so expect a wait if you don't have a reservation. Portions are large, definitely shareable in my opinion. I ordered the smoked meat Benedict and WOW the hollandaise was just so flavorful and stood out to me the most. Landed at Montreal airport after an early morning flight. Hungry and wanting to fix that before the drive home, we searched on yelp and found this place nearby. Unassuming location in a strip mall that has seen better days, wow were we impressed with the quality of the food, the friendly quick service, and all the unique options on the menu. Going for a walk and stopped by for breakfast. Had a great waitress and the food came out fast hot. They offer fresh squeezed orange juice at prices of regular orange juice. There is nothing worse than an egg Benedict that comes out cold...here mine was piping hot and makes all the difference....glad I stopped. read more

Decided to try this place for brekkie during our vacation and boy, I now have a new fave breakfast place while around Montreal! My daughter ordered the Shortcake waffle and I had the philly cheese steak eggs bennie. The plates were YUGE! They were both tasty! A little on the pricey side but service was great and food was tasty so it all balanced out. read more

It super clean and thE servers are very helpful and seem to really care The menu had all your favorites plus a nice lunch menue as well Had French toast with bacon With a side a soup and salad Yes a crazy combo French toast was bang on.. fresh and the bread and cooking was done right. Then you add the syrup and butter and you have a winner The salad was fresh and was basic but the dressing is very good . Was more on thE sweet side but it works. Soup. I came here by accident... The reason? next door, it was closed. I wanted to have my alone time while having a full-on brunch. The waiter accommodate me on a private spot. Another waitress came to take my order which I start by ordering a fruit smoothie and I took an omelette with lots of veggies. New restaurant open just a few weeks ago. This was my first time here. The place has a good ambiance. The seating is comfortable and the service is very good. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a early bird discount before 8 during the week. I came at noon on a week day and the place was not too full. I was offered coffee with the menu and they brought a full thermos along with the cup so I could auto refill. I was very pleased I had the florentin eggs Benedict and this is where they lost 1 star. The eggs were a little over cooked (not runny) and I didn't think there where such a thing as too much spinach but there was. The potatoes are great not salty. The fruit bowl was a great size but the cantaloupe wasn't perfectly ripe. I will come again but not for this dish. read more

Visited L'Eggspress for the first time with my family this passed Sunday. Staff was extremely friendly, great withe kids and on the ball when it came to getting us started with coffee and water. My favorite part was the personal coffee thermos for our table. It's a nice touch and definitely avoids making us wait for a refill, cool little extra. There were crayons in a cup with a torn page from a coloring book, signs of effort made, but a resto still getting their feet wet. The food was fantastic, quicker than anywhere else, but portions don't quite reflect the price point when compared to other places. Either they need to up their meet portions or drop their menu pricing by a dollar per plate. Yes, just reducing by one dollar makes the resto incredibly competitive with other breakfast places. Decor could be brightened with some yellow accenting, matching their logo. I have high hopes for this place and hope to see them open for a while. read more

Went there 1 week after it opened. It was better than when it opened but they still needed some practice. The amount of staff doing nothing was extremely high. We went on a Saturday morning and the place did end up filling up. The food was ordinary. It's what you would expect from any breakfast place. It's not bad but then again, it does not differentiate itself from others either. Only difference is that they give you a coffee jar. You can refill your cup yourself. read more
