Meat lover eggs Benedict
Justine S.

Decent brunch place. Sunday Morning in montreal is hectic when it comes to brunch. Got lucky and we got a table quickly here. Ordered the meat lover eggs Benedict and they were great! I felt like the English muffin was burnt but I didn't really mind since as a whole I couldn't taste the burnt parts. I also which the potatoes were cubed and crispy but they are more soft. The fruit was fresh and the meat was good! Overall I enjoyed my meal.

Happily, we didn't have to wait in line because when we were leaving the line up was moderately long. The service was good. The place is massive and with cool arts on the wall. They still have Christmas decorations past mid January. We were seated in the back, there was a lot of banging noise so it was a disturbance. Their smoothie machine was acting weird. I ordered mushrooms grilled cheese with arugula salad. My sandwich was very oily, afterwards my belly was very queasy. My sister mango smoothie was more like mango soup, and my other sister smoked meat and egg sandwich with breakfast poutine was enjoyable for her. So overall, our experience was below average.

We stumbled into an other Oeufrier on Saturday. It was amazing! We decided to do it again Sunday but needed to hit up the Atwater Market before heading back home to Kingston. We landed at the St-Henri location which was just around the corner from the market. What an absolute wonderful experience from beginning to end! (Even though there was a bit of a wait, the place was jammed with Sunday brunch goers) The menu is insane. Not sure what the item count is but put it this way...there are 16 grill cheese offerings alone. The level of service is beyond spectacular. From the moment we were seated hot coffee was poured and the cup never got below 1/2 without one of the server staff coming by with a hot refill. We were blessed with a super engaging server. She is a consummate professional at the pinnacle of her game and it shows. The whole place runs with the precision of a finely tuned machine. The food is spectacular. Huge portions of everything. 5 Stars across the board!

Although they messed up my order it was a great experience. Food as usual was good like the other L'Oeufrier I tried. When we arrived there was a long line of people waiting to get a table but it went pretty fast. I spotted 3 breakfast places in the area, all of them were full with long lines. But we didn't regret our choice even if it wasn't where we originally wanted to go. I recommend this breakfast and brunch restaurant. Totally worth it!

A M B I A N C E Very busy restaurant. There's almost always a line. Is great for bigger groups, as the restaurant is loud. The menu has a lot of options, for breakfast and lunch. C L E A N L I N E S S The restaurant is very clean. The bathrooms are in the basement and are not so clean, there was no soap or paper towel when I went down. O V E R A L L Q U A L I T Y Food is great. I love the breakfast poutine with half potato half mashed. The food is great, the juices taste lovely. The tables and chairs are very close together making getting up and moving around or putting a winter jacket on difficult. C O S T Coffee is included with most meals. The price for most meals is reasonable. But the juices, smoothies and milkshakes are quite pricey (over $6 a juice!). But they're fresh squeezed and so delicious. W A I T T I M E S There's almost always a line, but usually the wait time isn't so bad. Definitely worth a call ahead to make a reservation. P A R K I N G There is no parking lot. There is paid parking spots on Notre-Dame but be ready L O C A T I O N On Notre-Dame street. Lots of others stores around! Great place for a wa

This time I had the poutine classic and I was very disappointed. The sauce and fries lacked flavor. Also my cappuccino arrived cold.

Capuchino

Poutine like no other. The food is not at all salty. The meat on the gravy is finely chopped. No overwhelming power of spices and just the ingredients doing their thing. The Lavazza coffee may come bottomless depending on your order. Artwork for sale on the walls. Reminds me much of Cassat's. Must stop if you are in MTL.

Mini gourmand

Mid. Its pretty good but not many price options or meat options. Practically everything has pork, even the mashed potatoes? drinks are expensive but server was kind. But if u want beyond meat instead of bacon and sausage its an extra 4$, on top of the 20$ meal. Soo yeah.

Patatis
Clea C.

There are many l'oeufrier locations around the city, so it's a nice place for crowded Sunday brunch! They have the usual brunch fares on their menu. But my favorite is their patatis! It's basically omelette with melted cheese on top of potatoes. Yum! A plate of patatis is very filling, and they serve it with toast and fruits.

Went to this cafe with my friend for brunch. We had to wait 15 to 20 minutes as it was really busy. The waiters handed out smoothie samples to everyone so the wait wasn't too bad. We ordered eggs benedict and another egg dish to share. We also got smoothies cause we really liked the samples we tried while we were waiting. I got the strawberry kiwi one and it was amazing! The food was also very good. The cafe was cozy and had a nice vibe. Would definitely recommend trying this place!

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

The restaurant didn't provide a high chair for our baby, which was a bit disappointing. The service was good with our waitress checking with us to order and being prompt and attentive. Here is what we ordered: Grilled Cheese O+G (8/10) - the bread with the grilled cheese and caramelized onions were cooked well. The homemade ketchup had a sweet taste to it and was brought out a little colder than room temperature. I probably would have preferred the ketchup/tomato sauce to be a bit warmer. The Chicken Melt (8/10) - this sandwich was pretty big. It had grilled chicken in a creamy sauce, some Cole slaw (actually a lot of Cole slaw) and some dill pickles. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat and I think it had a little too much Cole slaw, but it was a good sandwich, nonetheless. Overall, I good experience with a few suggestions in my review that I think would have made it really great.
