Ego Engravers did an awesome job engraving some art work on the back of an old watch for me. They were pretty quick, very friendly and the engraving came out perfectly. When I came to pick the watch up, the guy working there told me a little bit about it (vintage watch I bought on eBay and wasn't sure if it was authentic - he thinks yes) and also recommended a good place to get a new band for it. I have never had anything else engraved so I don't know if it was a good deal or not - $85 for a design that I brought in and it was engraved in an area about the size of a nickel. I came to EGO because of reviews on yelp. And all these reviews can't be lying. This place is really nice and i like the quiet. The lady (don't remember her name) was really nice as soon as I walked in. I usually expect people who work at places like this to be less welcoming because I look so young. But she answered all my questions and told me how everything worked. When I came to pick up my engraving, it was done exactly as I hoped, in the quoted time, and she remembered who I was and what I had engraved. i was extremely impressed with all aspects of this company. I had a very small personal item engraved for an anniversary present, and they treated me with just as much respect and importance as if I were an entire corporation with a huge bank account. The engravement was also of a very unusual, and of a personal nature, and no one bat an eye at what I wanted done. To top it off, I called around to at least 4 other places, and they all quoted me a higher price. Not to mention, the end product was lovely. I work for a local university and recently my department needed to get a few key chains engraved as a small token for some outstanding students. Not only was the proprietor of EGO Enterprises (Cici) very friendly and helpful, but the work that the on-sight engraver did was outstanding. For key chains that were not flat, therefore more difficult to work on, and very small, the engraving was easily legible and immaculate. It's also worth mentioning that EGO is located in the historic and breathtaking Flood Building. Walking through the building is a joy in itself. I cannot say enough about EGO Enterprises. So I have to say that they were very nice and completed the job by the time they said they would. Which was about a 2 days. I really did like the company, but they ended up using the wrong font on the watch I was getting engraved. I kept the watch because it was a birthday day for someone for the next day. He apologized but said that he had written down a different font, one I had never even considered as we talked about two different fonts that I liked. Maybe I should have asked for a refund or something, but I was just kind of upset. While the engraving did look find, I was disappointed that it was the wrong front. It was a block font instead of a script. I found myself apologizing to the person I was giving it to as he opened it up, which I shouldn't of had to do. I know that it is going to bother me every time I see the watch, whether I see the engraving or not. I am a perfectionist and like things just so. It was because of this that I originally went to EGO because of the great reviews on yelp. While everyone was really nice and the engraving was clean, it was just wrong. read more

No hand engraving! If it doesn't fit in the machine - they can't do it. The claim that they can engrave virtually anything isn't accurate, and should be followed with, 'if it fits in the machine'. I give two stars because I checked with them on the phone if they could do it and they quickly said 'yes' -other engravers had already told me it wouldn't fit in the machine. They made me travel miles and when I got there they instantly told me no without even looking at the object! They should have been honest with me on the phone, instead of wasting my time. Most horrible experience ever! I went to this shop because of great yelp reviews...when I arrived the man who owned the place was helpful. I needed him to do a quick engraving job. He said that he wasn't sure the material of the item I needed engraved but that it would work with one option or the other. He said he would call when the items were ready, and gave a fair estimate. I reitterated that if the items weren't going to look great to call me and not proceed....because my neck was on the line at work. Three hours later (very fast) he calls to tell me the items are ready. I arrive and the quality of engraving was TERRIBLE, I mean awful. He scratched the back of all six items from clamping them, the engraving was faint and inconsistent, in some places it was crooked and sloppy. I calmly explained that these wouldn't do, and was frustrated he hadn't stopped when the first turned put so poorly. After a brief discussion he said he would work it out with my boss when he called....now for the insanity, he wanted me to sign to pickup the items...which I had brought in. I said I would witness that I received them, but asked him to cross off the "sales final, no refunds" line, and work that out with my boss (he had made us pay in advance). He snatched the items out of my arms and yelled at me to leave his premises or he would have me removed. I asked him not to talk to me that way....I laughed and said, you are the one taking my property. I left and called my boss from the hallway....he came out irate, shaking and gave me my items, and said he would refund us. Within ten minutes my boss called saying he received three voicemails....he told my boss I threatened to sue and call the police....bhahhahabhahha....seriously anger issues. read more

I went to EGO after reading so many great Yelp reviews but was sorely disappointed. I went to get some stainless steel knives engraved for groomsmens gifts for a friend. I chose an old english font from a template they showed me that looked great on the metal surface they displayed it on. When I came to pick up the knives the engraving was so light you could barely read the inscription on most of the knives! Plus the font that I chose made it even more difficult to read. My complaint here is with their customer service. When the salesperson noticed that I wasn't very happy she said it's hard to make the engravings very deep with the stainless steel material. If she knew it wasn't going to show up well, why didn't she tell me before she engraved all the knives??!! I felt like she just wanted to make a quick buck! In addition, she could have at least advised me to pick a different font that would show up better. At the end she still charged me the full amount! I will never go back here. read more

The lady in the office was extremely courteous and accommodating and I have my gift engraved in the time it took me to go get some lunch. A lifesaver. I also realized that I could have bought the gift from EGO rather than having search all over the place and then bring it to them for the engraving; they have a good selection of gift items, most of which are engravable. read more

A second time going with EGO and I couldn't be happier. I now live in Colorado but still decided to have a bracelet engraved with EGO because they did such an awesome job before. I called up Jason and he still recognized my voice after 1.5 years. He was happy to do the work and ship it back to me right away. He is always friendly, easy to work with, really works to create exactly what you want, and he still had my clipart design on file from my previous visit. I got the bracelet back very quickly and by no surprise, it was perfect. I will definitely stick with EGO for all my engraving needs, no matter what state I live. read more
