There are numerous things I could say about our terrible experience working with him but the main point I will talk about is that he did not file our extension on time which COST US $2000 IN PENALTIES WITH THE IRS! Even once this happened, I didn't fire him but rather I reached out to him and asked if he could help us write a letter asking the IRS for forgiveness. THIS IS WHAT HE REPLIED TO ME: "I'm sorry you feel dissatisfied. I don't believe I can meet your needs going forward." MY REPLY TO HIM: "Mr Forney, I'm simply asking for your assistance in writing a letter. I'm preparing to file a form 843 and would like a letter from you stating the issue at hand when you attempted to file our extension. Are you able to provide me with this?" AND HE JUST IGNORED ME AND NEVER REPLIED TO MY EMAIL. WOW WOW WOW... IM APPALLED AT HOW QUICK HE WAS ABLE TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO OUR CASE (being that he put us in this mess in the first place) Bryce is irresponsible and careless. All his "diplomas" he is trying to show off in his yelp profile picture, failed to teach him ethics and morals.

This year we didn't receive one, called to ask for one and we we're billed not only for the phone call but for the time to print the document! Mr. Gluck charges by the hour, even if his office calls you to ask a question, you're billed, evidently at the rate of $300 to $400 per hour. We received an email from someone we had never met at his office with the amount of tax liablity for the prior year. We were a bit surprised by the large amount and wondered if we'd made a error or omission. We called to talk to Mr. Gluck who told us he hadn't looked at our returns yet!!! Mr. Gluck said he wouldn't be able to look it over before the tax deadline so his office would prepare payment vouchers to mail in by the due date, but the call ended with Mr. Gluck quickly saying "You go online and do it. File your extensions and pay and I'll get to you after my vacation." The call cost me another $100. I've found another tax preparer that works with us in how best to set up our business and other financial planning - Better professional service and CLEAR advice at a quarter of the price.

Not Attentive nor Timely!…read more With taxes, timing is everything, specifically when you are predicting owning our government money. Unfortunately, if you are looking for a CPA that will be attentive and timely, David Chopp is not your accountant. For our 2017 tax year, we enlisted the help of Mr. Chopp. Although we started the process of getting in to see him in January, our tax return was not ready until ten days before the Federal deadline. Additionally, Chopp never took the time to consult with us about the amount we may owe. Because of this timing and because we were not aware of the amount of taxes we would owe, we were unable to prepare ourselves financially. Once we finally received our return and saw the amount, we were left scrambling to find funds and react to this new debt. It took a couple of weeks and several phone calls to the IRS to get things in order finally. If Chopp had been more timely and attentive to our tax needs, we would not have had to arrange our finances to deal with the IRS so frantically. On top of all this, there were several communications that we took as belittling as if everyone should know the details of tax laws and accounting procedures or his bandwidth. In retrospect, hindsight being 20/20, I would not have chosen Mr. Chopp as our CPA. My recommendation is to find another accountant.
