The staff was rude and talk down to you as if you are ignorant. There is no patience whatsoever. They sent me to get my lab done without notifying me ahead of time that I had to fast. He gives prescriptions to addicts. I have called this office to let the front staff and Dr. Romero know that his patient is an addict. Called again when this same patient was in rehab and over dosed on the prescribed medication he is giving her. Dr. Romero continues to see this patient and gives her more anxiety and pain medication. This man may have been the worst doctor I've ever seen. He arrived to the office 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time and I still had to wait another 15 to see him. He would ask me questions and continually interrupt me as I tried to answer. I had to repeat myself multiple times, and even then, he still didn't seem to get it - he wrote me both a prescription for a medicine I had just taken 4 days prior that didn't work and one for a medicine I had just told him I couldn't take. Right in the middle of the exam, his phone rang and he answered it. At one point, his nurse came in and asked a question about another patient and how he was too early for a Xanax refill (You can see confidentiality is very important to them). I gave them two stars because they gave me an appointment the same day and the nurse was nice. From my experience, I do not believe Dr. Romero to be a good doctor. This doctor doesn't seem to care about his patients(only speaking on behalf of my visits). Both times I've been here he seems to act as though seeing me was an inconvenience. I'm very sorry you're a doctor and I got sent to you and it's your job and should be your passion to help people in need of medical advice. He prescribed me the same exact method of what I have already been doing. When I proceeded to tell him that he interrupts as if I'm an idiot, I know I'm not a doctor and have no medical schooling but maybe listen to your patient so you don't tell them to do something they ALREADY DO. All I needed him to do was recommend me to a specialist and he condescendingly told me that I should try him first. Dr. Romero has been my primary doctor since I was a baby. He is one of the finest doctor's out there. I drive an hour to see him. I've tried to find another primary care physician closer to home, but i haven't found anyone better than him. Yes, his office is always extremely busy and there can be a very long wait time. Especially because he delivers babies too and can be called to the hospital at any time. But that's because he's a very knowledgeable and experience doctor that will know what's wrong with you without giving you 5,000 tests. read more

I live in the desert and the mountain was full of snow and are snowed in with limited telephone service due to high elevation in Anza, California...lucky I was able to get through after our flash flood three days prior to snow...I hope they realize that their unprofessional behavior speaks volumes and people are already sick and don't need anymore harassment from staff members. I'm a retired Certified Biller/Coder and the Compliance Officer for the Specialty Offices I served with highest standards. I expect the same for my mother. I have been seeing Dr Romero since he purchased my Dr's business when he passed away. He is very kind and soft spoken and has a good sense of humor. Very good memory of his patients medical history that isn't in the medical chart. The ladies in the office (Maria and Aida) go over and beyond. Thru the years I have seen them deal with with patients with kindness and professionalism and always a smile, even when some of the patients had attitude problems that I personally would not have tolerated. My mother suffered a stroke and while we were struggling when they discharged her to us from the rehabilitation center, this doctor neglected my mother's medical orders refused to work with the very helpful in home RNs that were visiting and trying their very best on her recovery. This doctor just delayed everything: her recovery, pain, and overall health. His actions were extremely unethical and completely unprofessional. Please do not go with this person. First of all I wish I had read the reviews here before I made an appointment. Second I wish there was a way to not give this "DR" a star at all. All the bad things that are previously stated here happened to me plus some. I am in the search for a new dr and I decided to go to him first. I've had a lot of symptoms recently that I was concerned about. First warning sign of going to this doctor was trying to get an appointment. I had to jump through hoops to get a two week out appointment. When I got there I had to make further phone calls to my provider because even though my insurance card showed his name it had the other location on it and they wouldn't accept it. Finally got that squared away and waited an hour to be seen. When I finally saw him I really couldn't get a word in was constantly interrupted, he had a phone call which he did apologize for, seemed confused and at one point asked me "I don't understand what you mean" while inside I was screaming well if you would just let me talk....however he mentioned a few things and did suggest a few things and sent me out to get lab work and asked to see me in 2 weeks to go over the results....I was like ok sucks that he has bad bedside manner but he seemed somewhat knowledgeable... So I had to wait 3 weeks due to being out of town on the second and I was anxious to see the results. Got to the appointment about 5 minutes early and waited for 30 min to be called in. Once in there it was another 15 before Dr. Romero came in. Started talking to me about diabetes and how everything seemed ok and that I don't have diabetes. I was confused and told him that that wasn't even a concern...he mentioned I had family history of it to which I said well yes a family member but we didn't even discuss that last time...he starts looking at his paper work and realizes he's missing lab results for something else (by the way at this point Id already been interrupted and shut down trying to tell him something new I had noticed) So he tells me he is going to find those results which I wait another 30 minutes for. He comes back and says alright now we have it and it all looks fine...I'm not sure why you have fatigue but your results are fine....(oh yeah earlier we were interrupted by a knock which I waited 5 min for, and one of the "staff" seemed to not realize I was in there after walking in and looking puzzled at me) so I get up and thank him and tell him Ill be finding a new doctor. He looks at me and asked i don't understand your anger...I lost it, I went off which is totally not like me. I cry screamed that he was rude and unprofessional and obviously unprepared. His response, oh this is classic, "there are people in the ICU who are truly sick." I cant make this shit up, are fucking kidding me!....ok Dr. Romero you have a point, but does that mean I don't deserve care and to be treated with seriousness? For all he knows I'm truly sick as well but he doesn't care enough to find out. Maybe he should stick to ICU. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO THIS DOCTOR IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW DOCTOR. Worst MA staff ever! No bedside manners at all. If a MA wants to provide "education" which is outside of their scope of practice I suggest you do your research. If you want to DX I suggest you go to medical school, NP, or PA school. Please I repeat... do not DX a patient you're not a medical doctor. This MA whom I chose to keep her name out of this post had the WORST manners ever. I myself work in the medical field and I know how burning it can be. I did not give this individual a reason for her to mistreat me. She gathered her "data", got her VS w/o taking my temperature. Took my BP which my arm was above the heart level. I have never felt so humiliated and so belittle at a MDs office. As for the MD he was nice and seemed to care... but as for his assessment especially being my first time there... he needed to be more thorough. I will NOT being going back to his office.
