As someone who previously worked in and supervised the Whole Foods Market juice bar down the street, we would never deny a customer a beverage during business hours. Cleaning a blender takes about 30 seconds, and it's part of the job until the doors are actually closed. It was disappointing to be turned away when the store was still open.
