    Strawberry and cream
    Tessa H.

Such a fun and unique concept! I was so excited to try this place when I heard about it. I got the strawberry and cream bowl. You can choose between cold overnight oats or warm oats. I got my oats unsweetened, but there was still plenty of flavor from the mix ins. The bowl was HUGE and fed me for two meals. I also got a salted caramel latte, which was the highlight! My partner got a brown sugar latte and a protein bowl. The staff were great and took their time explaining the menu and gave recs. I loved the outdoor seating too. It was a little on the expensive side. Two lattes and two bowls plus tip came out to over $50!

Love the ambiance in Brown Sugar Oats. Oatmeal bowls are just delicious. The regular bowls are definitely shareable & they also have kids craft bowls. I love the iced brown sugar latte & the sweetness & customizable. Staff are super friendly & highly recommend for everyone to try.

Izell is great and she said everything is gluten-free and dairy free, organic and everything is primarily made with oat milk. It's such a cute little place and they have free Wi-Fi. This is my dream shop where I can get gluten-free overnight oats and it is so healthy!

this cute spot in aliso viejo is owned by mother and daughter and they have the friendliest staff! i love the way they have designed the place and the aesthetic is beautiful. im pretty sure they also host events and DJs here too! we got the blueberry lavender honey bowl with overnight oats and I loved that the lavender was subtle and not overwhelming. the caramel lavender latte was one of the best coffees i've had, perfect blend of lavender and caramel!

Best oats in OC! I loved visiting Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cafe in Aliso Viejo. The Apple Cobbler flavor was amazing and honestly one of the best coffees I've had. The service was super friendly, the decor and ambience were perfect for cute pictures, and everything was very budget friendly too.

Iced raspberry, blueberry, vanilla matcha with whole milk

When coming here, I walked in and was instantly welcomed by Sahar! She's so kind, well-spoken, and when I asked what she recommended, she considered what I liked and ultimately made a raspberry, blueberry, vanilla matcha with whole milk. It was delish!! Also, atmosphere is nice and comfy. Thank you girl

My wife, mom, sister and I visited this coffee shop after lunch and really enjoyed it! We ordered a latte, a Peppermint Hot Chocolate, and White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha. All three drinks were delicious and were large in size. (They specialize in putting oat milk in their drinks.) The ambiance of the shop had a very warm and comfortable feel. Not only were the tables and chairs comfortable there was also a sofa and lounge chairs. Hanging plants contributed to that at home feeling. The owner and the woman who served us were super friendly and welcoming. As a place to hang out on your own or with friends, it's great.

Apple Cobbler. Delicious bowl with cookie butter, cinnamon, cubed apples, slightly tangy vanilla yogurt, oats, and a biscoff cookie on top.

The name alone was enough to pique our curiosity and now we're making plans to return soon. Seriously, unbelievably good. THE FOOD. - Apple Cobbler. Delicious bowl with cookie butter, cinnamon, cubed apples, slightly tangy vanilla yogurt, oats, and a biscoff cookie on top. Not gonna lie, I didn't think this was going to be anything special, but I enjoyed it so much that I can't wait to go back to get another one! Highly recommend. THE DRINK. - Banana Nut Smoothie. I've been on a banana kick, so I had to try this. Blended banana, walnuts, dates, agave, collagen peptides, and cinnamon sprinkled on top. Not overly sweet and the chunks of banana and nuts are satisfying to chew on. Obsessed is probably the best word to describe how I feel about this smoothie. Highly recommend this too.

Super cute place. Friendly employee. They were sold out of brown sugar for their lattes so we couldn't try it! Got two build your own oat bowls, both with hot oats. My banana tasted old and had brown spots on it, I should have just asked for a fresh banana. I did notice a few fruit flies around the toppings bar so maybe some covers or fans to deter the bugs would be helpful. $15 for oatmeal with up to four toppings is a bit pricey when you really think about it (I can make it at home for less than a dollar). Eating out is expensive these days so I get it. Maybe I'll try one of their signature bowls next time...

    Overnight unsweetened oat bowl.

Brown Sugar is an absolute standout. Even if it were just a coffee shop, it would already be excellent--great coffee, really well-crafted matcha drinks (the lavender matcha is a must), and solid chai options. But what truly sets this place apart is the oat bowl concept. You can customize everything--hot or cold, sweetened or unsweetened--and the topping selection is next level. They have everything from functional add-ins like ginger, turmeric, and cardamom to richer options like almond butter, peanut butter, and even cookie butter. Then you've got a full range of fruits, yogurt choices (Greek, vanilla, coconut cream), nuts, seeds (hemp, pumpkin), chopped dates, and the option to boost it with protein powder, collagen peptides, or even lion's mane. It's one of those rare spots where the food is genuinely healthy but also tastes incredible. Whether you're going for coffee, matcha, or a fully loaded oat bowl, you really can't miss here.

Not the best tasting coffee but maybe it was a personal flavor choice for me. I got the sea salt mocha. Did not taste the sea salt.

I visited Brown Sugar on a Friday evening for their first After Hours session. Parking was very easy to navigate since there are spots right in front of the building as well as two parking lots behind it & to the left of it. There weren't too many other customers when I arrived, since I came in right when After Hours started. They had a variety of options for curating your very own charcuterie board. I made a petite board for myself & paired it with their coconut lime spritz. I love that they make some of the jams they offer, such as the cinnamon apple jam, in-house. They also had a selection of wines, but I was driving & was just stopping by, which is why I opted for one of their mocktails. Brown Sugar is owned by a friend of mine from high school & it's been so great seeing the progress she's made with the shop. Beyond a friendly staff & delicious menu items, Brown Sugar is also the perfect versatile spot for getting work done or catching up with friends. In addition, they also occasionally host coffee parties with live music. One of my favorite drinks to order would be their banana nut smoothie--I appreciate that they include collagen & pieces of dates in the drink. As always, I look forward to my next visit!

I am obsessed with all things oats (oatmeal, oatmeal, overnight oats) so had to try this place. This place is so cutely decorated - we came at end of September and everything was fall themed with cinnamon smell when entering. They have specialty bowls as well as build your own bowls with the option of warm oats or overnight oats. I ordered the lavender blueberry honey oats and my husband ordered the protein oats. They're pretty filling and the flavor was delicious! I love how unique this place is (it was my first time at an oatmeal bar). Everything was so aesthetic and it felt healthy eating a bowl of delicious oats. I got mine unsweetened (you can get your oats sweetened with brown sugar) but because of all the fruit toppings, garnished lavender, and honey it was already sweet enough. Looking forward to trying more bowls :)

When I walked in, it took several minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me--no greeting, no "we'll be right with you," nothing. I arrived about 35 minutes before closing, which is more than enough time to make a juice and still close by 7, but the blenders and juicers were already "done for the night." The frustrating part is that the business itself is actually spacious, clean, and has plenty of seating for customers. They also offer a decent selection of grab‑and‑go items, which makes the experience even more surprising because the setup clearly supports people coming in up until closing. They're generally accommodating with substitutions, but they can be a bit stingy with higher‑value ingredients, which doesn't help justify the price point. As someone who previously worked in and supervised the Whole Foods Market juice bar down the street, we would never deny a customer a beverage during business hours. Cleaning a blender takes about 30 seconds, and it's part of the job until the doors are actually closed. It was disappointing to be turned away when the store was still open. For feedback, the team could have at least offered an alternative option instead of shutting down the interaction entirely. I understand most of the staff are likely high school or college‑aged and eager to clock out, but a little courtesy and effort go a long way. I haven't been back since, which is a shame because the space itself has potential.

Now I've got this giant flavorless smoothie to force down. The last time I got the same smoothie and it was so incredibly imbalanced with the flavors it was insane. Are you people using recipes for your smoothies and actually measuring out the ingredients? I do not think that you are. I think you guys just through stuff into the blenders and hope for the best. There is just no way recipes are being used because the smoothies just never taste right. They are so expensive and they never taste correctly made. Ever. This is the last time I'm going to the juice bar. So disappointing!!!! Addendum: had to throw the entire drink away. It was inedible. Tasted like ice and peanut butter, that's it.

The more you customize it the harder time some employees seem to have making it right unless you tell them EXACTLY how to make it.
