This is a small non descriptive store that smells heavenly when you enter. There are a dozen differentypes of cookies you can buy by the sleeve or individually and there's always a special of the week. They even have gluten-free cookies my favorites are the chocolate chocolate chip with walnuts. Or maybe the peanut butter with chocolate chips or the sugar cookies. I just so happened to stumble upon Eileen's as we made a quick stop to the plaza before camping. It was exactly what I knew I needed, some fresh cookies for camping. The staff was incredibly nice and was patient with me explaining al their cookies and giving me time to make a decision. So I never felt pressured to hurry up and make a selection. I picked 4 cookies, mind you I'm a tough critic when it comes to cookies so it took a while for me to make a selection. The final selection: chocolate chip, white chocolate chip macadamia but, snickerdoodle, m&m. They are big and thick cookies, I'd say roughly 3 inches across and maybe 1/2 inch thick, oh and let's not forget soft. My two faves were snickerdoodle and macadamia but ... which is rare for me because chocolate chip is my go to. The reason for me review ... I picked these bad boys up on Friday and finished them on Sunday. THEY WERE STILL SOFT even after leaving them in the bag in our car while camping. I was so tempted to stop by and get more for the ride home but alas we all know the struggle of I-25 so I'll have to come back another time! read more

I'll start by saying Eileen's cookies are tasty. I have ordered from them on a few different occasions for various events. They do great custom orders and get the job done in a timely manner. Most recently, I ordered a custom cookie cake to use in my proposal to my now-fiancé. All I can say is, make sure you spellcheck the cake before you leave the store. I was rushing around all day getting things ready, and did not look closely at the cake until it was too late. The glaring spelling error is highlighted in the professional photos we got back from the engagement. "Weirdness" doesn't follow the "i before e except after c" rule so it's tricky, but this cake was for a really special occasion and a quick spell-check by the staff would've been appreciated. read more

I have been buying these cookies for a long time and have never been disapointed until I stopped last Wed. Sugar cookies were on sale and I always buy them and only them. I buy a dozen of each, plain and frosted sugar cookies. She sold me Halloween frosted cookies that were left over from Halloween. They had colored sprinkles on them for Halloween and were not fresh at all. One bite and the frosting crumbled all over. The cookie wasn't even soft, it crumbled. I should of spoken up and asked for fresh cookies instead of accepting the 3 day old ones. They should of been on sale for $5 and not the unfrosted ones! Lesson learned. read more

The cookies are usually pretty good, although sometimes quite dry. The last time I was there, the guy had on gloves, took my cash, gave me my change, and then went right back to frosting cookies with the same gloves on. OMG!!! BEST COOKIES ON EARTH! No joke! I was bummed when they moved from Sheilds/Drake to Timberline...but I will gladly trek across town to get me some Monster cookies (peanut butter, oatmeal, m&m) They sell day old cookies for like $4ish, or you can get them separately. I'm not a big fan of frosting, but the frosting on the cookies is soo tasty. I've gotten the Giant Cookie for friend's bday and its always a huge hit! On days when I have to go run and do errands near King Soopers on Timberline I every once in a while get the urge to have some cookies from Eileen's Colossal Cookies. They have never let me down with being friendly and always have the most yummy cookies. Certainly one of the best places you can go in Fort Collins to get fresh cookies for sure! Chocolate Chip cookies are my usual choice but I have bought some other ones there as well and always enjoyed them. Never had a bad experience here! read more

My fiance and I were on our way to the subway right up the plaza and smelled the fantastic aroma of dough and we couldn't help ourselves but to see where it was coming from. Once we walked down the plaza we found this gem of a bakery. We went in and found a fantastic assortment of cookies and found we couldn't help ourselves but to pick 6 different cookies to try. All of them were as good as, if not better than, the last. We will definitely be back to purchase some dough as well as more fresh cookies. I recommend you all do the same. read more

I was expecting some great cookies. I asked what was popular and the lady behind the counter mentioned the sugar cookies so I had one of those with frosting. I also had some cranberry and macademia nut cookies too. The texture and taste were dull and way too sweet at the same time. Perhaps I just had a bad cookie day. Never heard of this place not that long ago, but working in the hospital and all my coworkers on their mission to fatten me up, I have been exposed over and over now. I like what they have to offer. They are fair in prices and their quality doesn't wavier. I try not to come here too often, gotta watch my girlish figure, but since it is in the hood, it is hard not to stop in here for a pit stop sugar fix. if i was rating this store based on the customer service it would get 1 star. every time i have been in there (lots) and the owners are there...it's sure to be a doom and gloom environment. it's such a shame that they are SO unfriendly and curt. it has me on the edge to not go back....BUT... THE COOKIES ARE DELICIOUS! the cookies get 5 stars! as do the cookie "cakes". YUM :) their frosting is delicious and has a heavy almond flavor and the cookies are soft=perfect. you will get a great cookie, but it would be a real surprise if the husband or wife give you a smile. shame... read more
