You can always order donuts to spell out "happy birthday" or find fun and seasonal designer donuts for a neighborhood price. It truly stands out amongst all the other spots around town because of the people factor. The service is always quick and so kind, celebrating neighbor's birthdays and toy box for the little kids as well. Place is always clean and plenty of parking spots, great spot to pop in for a quick grab or sit and eat for a bit. In this economy, it does mean something to support local and the community by spotlighting places like this.

I saw this new donut spot posting in Pearland foodie pages on social media and saw they were having…read morea big grand opening with specials. It is located on the east side of Pearland in a long shopping strip. There is plenty of parking. My usual weekend errands were in the area so I took that as my opportunity to grab some breakfast for me and the fam. I arrived somewhat early on their first official grand opening day. The shop is small with one two tables off to one side. The line was to the door, but the wonderful owners and staff were doing a great job handling all the customers. They have your typical donut shop menu with items such as breakfast sandwiches, a variety of donuts, kolaches and lunch sandwiches. The breakfast and lunch sandwiches can be made on croissants, toast or bagels. Half their display case is savory items like kolaches and sandwiches and one side, and the other half is the sweet items. To me it felt like the donut varieties are less than some of the big name places, but there is still alot to choose from. I ordered jumbo and regular sausage and cheese kolaches for my savory items. The jumbo kolaches were delicious. It was a good size and the breading was very good. It was buttery, soft and has a slight sweetness as well. The regular kolache seemed like a different bread and the sausage to bread ratio was off. My niece tore it up though. For donuts I got a little variety since they were running a special. I ordered glazed, some old fashioned, pink frosted and an apple fritter. The glaze was soft, larger than most and just the right amount of sweetness. My folks loved the old fashion donuts especially the blueberry. The pink frosting donut I was told was good, but we lost most of the frosting as they put it in a bag with other donuts. A box for the amount of donuts would have been better packaging. One of my faves when I indulge in donuts are apple fritters. They did an excellent job with theirs. It was very tasty. They have a couple of fridges with cold drinks as well as a coffee station with Community Coffee I love Community Coffee so I enjoyed that cup of joe. They also have some random light snacks like chips off to the side as well. Overall, this is a great spot for donuts on the east side of town. I feel like the rest of Pearland has lots of options but not so much on this side. I want to come back and check out their breakfast sandwiches and see what that's hitting for. I'll be back.

They have a whole taco counter, a kolache counter, a donut counter, a few drink fridges and they offer some other beverages fresh as well. What I also saw that was interesting is they had a lot of boba signs, and I didn't realize they did boba here. The staff was super friendly! And they move through your order very quickly. They were even kind enough to give us a couple of extra donuts on top of our order! Food wise the donuts were fresh, and tasty. She tells me how thankful she can work 7 days a week, for her house and all the blessings she has with her family here in the United States of America. Her 50 year old daughter comes up with more fresh doughnuts and pastries and echoes all her mother was saying. The ojo is incredible and the bolillos are perfection. The shop is super clean, the staff is very friendly, and the variety is huge--everything from tamales and fresh tortillas to seasonal aguas frescas. It is one of the bakeries that you get a steel dish and steel tong and pick the items you want to take home. I saw Conchas, cookies, donuts, churros, bread, empanadas. As a vegetarian- I resulted to a sprinkled cookie, one chocolate covered donut, my husband got a pineapple bar. Each of these items were around 85 cents!! I was so surprised how cheap it was. When we were checking out- the lady did let us know this is a family owned bakery, they have agua Frescas, can order custom cakes, jelly drinks, tamales. She stated they make everything freah every morning. I will say when I tried the cookie- it was very dry and crumbly (very similar to granola bars where when you take a bit half the bar falls on the floor because the crumbs). The cookie didn't seem fresh to me maybe a day or two old. The donut- delicious and cheaper than other donut shops so worth it! The pineapple bar- not a fan, too sweet for my liking. Overall- I have now been to this bakery multiple times, I have tried multiple items. The prices definitely went up since the first time we went a few months ago. I had bought it the previous day and it sat in the fridge and was a bit hard, but a 15 sec warm-up made them as fresh as new. The dough was soft and the cream just the right amount. I was in touch with Victoria and was glad she gave me her number since talking was out of question. The colors, flavours, deco on them, everything was discussed over text message which is a little tedious and was juggling replies in between calls, but THAT kept the surprise intact! So all the trouble was worth it when the look of the birthday boy was wide eyed and was like 'oh wow!' Will visit again and yes for all ya' donut lovers, this is a new way to wish Happy Birthday.
