I did a walk-in, which wasn't too bad. I actually live closer to Eisenhower hospital, but I came here instead since I was out this way. When you walk in your checked in and you just wait. I guess I waited about an hour which wasn't bad for the morning time and the amount of people that were there. As soon as I got called, I was taking in and my blood was drawn immediately. I wish I knew the name of the technician. She was so sweet we had a great time talking. Afterwards I had to have an x-ray and there was nobody in their imaging center and they took me right away. All in all making an appointment is probably better but walking in was great for me too. I recommend. read more

Tech stated she followed order. 3 techs for 40 people in waiting room with 7 stations empty. Management of lab has been the same for 4 years. This is my favorite location to have my blood drawn for several reasons. First it's located in the gorgeous George and Julia Argyros health center. You can go online and make your appointment or you can drop in just before 7 o'clock like I did. I have always been surprised at how quickly they can work you in. They are really efficient in signing you in, interviewing you, putting your armband on, and calling you back to get your blood work drawn. Because it's affiliated with Eisenhower medical center, there's a friendly positive welcoming vibe from the second you step inside the doors. You're in and out very quickly. The waiting room is so nice and relaxing. I don't know how they maintain their cheerfulness all day. I usually go in the day before my appointment and it's always done in time. Located just right of the main entrance and left of Urgent care. Grab a bagel at Einstein brothers in the lobby on the way out, especially if you were fasting. read more

This is the worst lab in the area. As others have said, they grossly overbook appointments with absolutely no regard for patients' time. For my latest appointment, they were running at least 70 minutes behind schedule (possibly more--it was at the 70-minute mark that I left). Complaints about the overbooking go completely unheard. I've lived out here for over a decade and nothing has changed. My Eisenhower doctors all prefer me to go to an Eisenhower lab, so I keep coming back every few years to see if things have improved. I had appointment for Wednesday. On Tuesday they called and said that they did not have order. Told them I had a hard copy and would drive it into them. They said "no problem" just bring in on your appointment time. When I got there I checked in and waited and waited and waited . Everyone who can in after me with or without appointment was seen. Finally I was told it would be a few more minutes. They were having problems with something. Whatever the problem was they could have taken care of it the day before. Finally after about an hour, yes I had an appointment I asked for my paperwork back and left. I will have to find a more competent lab to get my work done. What a waste of time. Great service but the cloth chairs in the waiting room can't be wiped down. I noticed that no one working came out to wipe things down when a patient gets up. If I could stand while waiting I would so as not to touch anything. It does give you good quick service. I highly recommend making an appointment before going. I have been coming to this facility for the past year at least once a month for bloodwork. I love how professional and friendly the front desk staff have always been. I would give 5 stars but because of my most recent experience i have knocked it to 4. I have had bloodwork taken multiple times by 3 different phlebotomists now. The most recent taken by Ashley was THE WORST. It was unlike any of my other experiences where the other phlebotomist would take the time to make conversation, actually look for my vein, and insert the needle with care. Ashley asked for my arm, asked me to make a fist, cleaned the area and plucked my arm. I have never felt so much pain in my arm after taking bloodwork. Hopefully more proper training would help. Like I said all my other experiences have been great with everyone else. read more

Appointment system is weak. Had a 30 minute wait past my appointment for a 30 second blood draw. At least they were fast once I got in. Apparently there is a shortage of Coban at this lab. My lab tech barely connected it around my arm after my blood draw, and it fell of in under 5 minutes. Good thing I clot relatively fast. Disappointed. read more

This location requires you to make an appointment by calling or going on their website to get your lab work done. This policy seems to be only at this location, as the Rancho Mirage site allows walk-in lab work requests to be allowed. I didn't know that was the policy and went to go do lab work directly after my primary care physician and go turned away due to lack of appointment. I think this is a silly thing because I now have to find time to make an appointment with a vacancy that fits my work and home schedule and costs me time wasted now making a trip only for lab work when I was already there for an appointment the day I tried to get the labs taken! Not impressed and think they need to re-evaluate their appointments only rule! read more

Had a huge hemotoma after blood draw. I am not on any medication that should influence bruising. I had blood drawn the day before at a different lab and only very slight bruising. The tech did wiggle the needle while it was inserted so maybe that caused bruising? This is kind of aggravating as the phlebotomists do this all day and should be expert at it! read more
