Beyond dirty Beyond rude Beyond incompetent The name is mis-given, not a place of angelic presence whatsoever. It is one thing to pay $1,275.00 for a full body MRI in a closed tube for one hour, but to be tortured from point of entry to a place so dirty, it boggles the mind how the 'grimy' front door remains open to the public! Words cannot express the painful experience of being 'attacked' by three staff personnel and having to call my spouse for support. Upon reading some prior complaints, it appears I wasn't alone. My only saving grace is that I walked... flew... out of there before suffering further distress. BILLING FRAUD A copy of a medical record is set by the California medical records release law. not to exceed 25,--. Halo demanded 300 USD from me. They are not giving me the copy, holding it hostage, waiting for the ransom of 300 dollars. i reported it to my insurance, inspector general, and will report to several more. the medical record is an ultrasound film review. It is unknown if it is accurate, truthful, or even realiable, as Halo Diagnostics apparently practices billing fraud. The large number of negative reviews on Yelp suggest this business cares less about service quality. read more

I had a terrible experience at Halo Diagnostics Indio two weeks ago. I just wrote a scathing review on Yelp about it...and don't have time to rewrite it all here right now. BUT....it was not about personalities or rudeness. It was about TOTAL INCOMPETENCE!!!!!! The doctor injected the WRONG spot when I went for a cortisone hip injection under CT scan!!!! AND.....he injected me 4 (FOUR!!!!) times and did 4 CT scans trying to get the needle into WHAT He THOUGHT was the correct spot. The pain was very bad. And I was subjected to 4 times the amount of radiation I should have had if it had been done competently and correctly. A couple days later, the radiologist called me and divulged that he had injected the WRONG SPOT totally.....he injected...or tried to inject....the hip joint....when my doctor's ordered said to inject a specific tendon!!!!! I asked just How could this happen. The answer....he did not check the doctor's orders!!! My surgeon was also just totally appalled that this could happen. He said it was completely incompetent! I need to say that I have an extremely bad needle phobia.....so much that I wasn't sure I could even go for this procedure. It took everything thing I have in willpower....helped by anxiety medicine....to do this. Then it was done WRONG 4 (FOUR) times and then I had to go somewhere else and have it redone. Halo offered to redo it at no cost.....I almost laugh now as if I would Ever go back to their facility. Absolutely NO Way! By the way...My surgeon personally arranged to have it done by a radiologist at Desert Regional Hospital. He followed up and oversaw the procedure......which was "almost" easy. read more

Fine, thorough service from everyone we encountered, from Nancy at the front desk to the technicians who were also able to quickly, efficiently, and effectively run the needed tests and send us on our way. From the beginning the girl Monica that helped me with insurance process was very professional and got my eligibility quick and scheduled by a nice lady named Betty. Front desk yesenia was very helpful, helped me with the door since I'm in a wheelchair. Explained the paperwork and helped me understand what I was filling out. Avoid this location at all costs, it will save you time and money and maybe your health in the long run. Unfortunately, they do not take responsibility for mistakes and costly misinformation that their staff gives to customers. The office manager Monica is not professional and refuses to take the time to listen to customers. I followed the EXACT instructions that their office gave me for scheduling my appt and I wanted to use the CASH price because my insurance was too expensive, but they got authorization anyway from my insurance and refused to allow me to pay the cash price. This is their way of making more money and sabotaging the customer. So inconsiderate and unprofessional, steer clear if you can, go somewhere else. read more

I recently had a CT scan here, and the staff were excellent. They were able to accommodate my quickly, and they took good care of me while I was there. However, I was impressed most by their efforts to help me obtain my results after the scan. I was traveling abroad, and Nancy Zazueta, in particular, went above and beyond to help my physician and I receive the results as quickly as possible. She stayed in touch with us while I was traveling and even emailed a copy of them to me while I was overseas. This was greatly appreciated. read more

Contact and reminder calls were professional and consistent. I called in to as a question and the person I spoke with was more the helpful. When I arrived it was the same old ground fest staff story.. un pleasant and couldn't be bothered attitude. This was a bummer and the reason I removed a star. The gentleman actually administering the test was lovely. Pleasant encouraging, mad me feel at ease and made a scary situation for me easy. I required a sedative due to fear but based on my experience..... I'm gonna try it next time with out medication as he made me feel at ease. Recommend this place. read more

Staff is polite and helpful, that's where the kudos stop! The Indio office is dirty and run down, no medical facility should look like this, ever! The waiting room looks like a dirty DMV office!! Had a few simple x-xays done 6 days ago, my physisican has not, as of this noticed,received the results. I was told by tech. 2 to 3 days and I would know results. Will be advising my insurance co. they need to look into a contract with another Imaging company, sooner than later!!! read more

This the worst place to get imaging done. They make you wait a long time. I called they assured me when l came in my knee would be imaged. This was set up throu gh the COO. Once l got there she denied she had said that. Just to get you in there they don't care about your health. Get the image done right or wrong and make the insurance pay forb it. I just went in yesterday and I wanted to give my cat scan technician 5 stars for being so friendly and calming my nerves. It's not an every day occurrence to get radiated for medical issue. I had about an hour wait so that's why I couldn't give it a full 5 stars and the male staff at the front desk does not crack a smile, rude vibes isn't the first face you should see at any medical office. read more

I was referred to Desert Medical Imaging because I needed an MRI on my knee. I was very pleased with the whole experience despite the reason I was there. So often in today's world getting taking care of by "Service Providers" is not a positive experience. You can be made to feel like just another numbered person in line. My experience with this provider was anything but that. Everyone I encountered from the scheduler to front office personnel to the MRI technician were courteous. They actually greeted me warmly, face to face, and thanked me for choosing to come to DMI. They recognized with my knee I had limitations and were ahead of me in all ways to make sure my visit was comfortable and efficient. The assured my exit was met with thank yous for coming and good evening. I don't know who created this positive culture in the Indio office, or if it is company wide, but my hat is off to you. I would recommend this Imaging company to anyone. read more

I stopped by at 10:00AM to pick up forms that needed to be filled out prior to my 88yr old fathers MRI today. His scheduled appointment was at 4:30PM. I was greeted by a very friendly front desk person named Yesenia. She was very polite, professional and attentive. She provided me with the forms needed to be filled out. I explained to her my concern that my father is clausterphobic and could not handle an inclosed MRI. She walked us to the back to allow us to get a visual of the MRI Open process they had available here in Indio, an open MRI basically means the tube the patient is in is much larger and not tight. I felt valued and appreciated for our business. My father was happy to know they offered this convinient form of MRI technology. We had a chance to meet the MRI technician Albert who suggested if we had time he could actually take care of the MRI now. My father and I were extremely happy that he would offer us this option since I have to be at work today and would jot be able to accompany him later in the afternoon. Albert was very helpful and spoke to my father in spanish which is my fathers primary language. He made him feel very comfortable explaining the process thouroughly. I am now here in the waiting area as my father is getting his procedure done. Not many places like this take the time to ensure their patients are taken care of none the less offer such great accomodations like moving uo an apoointment saving us time and allowing me to be present. We were very fortunate to have DMI in Indio where they trluy serve their patients needs and accomodations. Thank you Yesenia for being so welcoming and engaging, professional and for truly being interested in my fathers well being. Thank you Albert for realizing the nature of my fathers issues and accomodating us like you did as well as giving us peace of mind and re assuring my father he is in good hands. Wow. What a bad experience. Had an MRI scheduled and when I showed up for my appointment I was told that since my insurance had changed January 1 to a PPO that I might have to reschedule. I mentioned I had authorization already from the same insurance company it's just I upgraded to a better plan as of Jan. 1 They made me wait about 45 minutes while they "checked it out" but mostly what I heard was personal chit chat among staff, no one checking into my situation. When I asked if they had any news, they looked they had totally forgotten about me and said, "oh we're still waiting for a response." Then they quickly made a phone call and then said, "oh yeah, you'll have to reschedule." I asked if they had spoken to my insurance company and they said yes, that was who had said I needed to reschedule. I called my insurance company directly after and was told, that they would have given authorization over the phone given my situation but that no one had called to ask for it. Bad service. Incompetent. Uncaring. Dishonest. I will never go back to this office. read more
