Had the awesome opportunity to meet and interact with this Filipina businesswoman at a fall festival in south San Jose for a community event. It was around 9 am, so we were probably the first customers at her booth. Eizel was super cordial and welcoming with offering free samples right off the bat. My family and I tried 2 items- ube brownies and Bombay Chex Mix. Her ube brownies are super moist and semi-sweet, which are my mom's favorites! If they please my mama, then I'm happy! Her version of Chex mix was outstanding with different flavors from using curry leaves and ghee in her mix. She does other dishes like jambalaya as her speciality and crispy pork belly. Great vibes and professional. She was kind enough to hold our order before we left the festival. I would definitely order from her catering services and order more brownies for a potluck.

Eizel's Bakery is an Instagram/home-based bakery business that makes a variety of small, fancy treats with REALLY interesting flavors, including treats with some Filipino influences. There is a main focus on their bite-sized, fudge-y, tasting brownies, of which my favorite is their raspberry with pecans and the ube. Overall on the nuttier side, really not that sweet, and I feel like they're almost spiced. However, what we really loved is their longganisa bites and I'm personally looking forward to trying their other seasonal item, their bacon jam bun. Nowadays, they pretty regularly do a monthly pop-up at Woof's Bar in Santa Clara. If you're not familiar with them, they provide samples during that time. If you ARE familiar with them, you can also pre-order and pick up your food from there. They also now do shipping as well as delivery for a large chunk of the Bay Area (SF, the Peninsula area, and East Bay). Would recommend following them on Instagram to keep up with their activities, new items, and special sales. Their treats are on the pricier side for me personally, so it's definitely a special treat to get when I visit Woof's Bar. Definitely interesting to try!

Sampled their brownies and the first thing I had was the ube. Second one was chocolate raspberry. I didnt want to try the other ones and chose to get a box of ube instead. The black box is cute with a bow on it. The precious 8 pieces of mini brownies are just sooo good. Reasonably priced for $ 10/box as these are just done right. Love it.

Although my go-to is the honey matcha latte, you can honestly just throw a dart and be pleasantly surprised each time (I've done this about 5 times already). This time, I got the yuzu matcha tea. SUPER REFRESHING! Tart, citrusy and with the earthy matcha, the drink was a great pick me up. I recommend getting this if you can't have whole milk and wanna try something new! My partner got the soft serve and the flavor of the matcha cuts through very well- you won't be disappointed if you're a matcha lover. The line is long, but our orders always come out fairly quickly (around 10 minutes) after we order. I think it's long because others are debating what to pick at the kiosk. But alas, good luck finding parking! My partner and I always have to park on the street side of the plaza and walk over because we can never get a spot.

The store looked kind of dead and did not have a lot of tables + seatings except the long bench. There's plenty of parking spaces since it's in a plaza. We got 2 of the creme brulee matcha swirl due to the hype of this drink. The cream was extremely thick and just for my preference, it was too much. The matcha was not as strong to balance the sweetness and decadency of the cream. We ended up letting it melt a bit so we can drink the matcha without having to eat chunks of the cream. If you like your matcha thick, then I recommend this drink! It was just not up my alley unfortunately.

There were so many options to choose from that it was hard to decide. I ended up trying a pastry and a slice of cake, and both were excellent. The pastry was light, flaky, and buttery, while the cake was moist and not overly sweet. Everything tasted fresh, like it had just come out of the oven. What made the experience even better was the friendly staff. They were patient while I looked through the display case and happy to answer questions about their most popular items. Their enthusiasm made the visit feel more personal rather than just another stop at a store. The bakery itself was clean, charming, and had a welcoming atmosphere that made me want to stay longer. It's the kind of place that feels perfect for grabbing breakfast, meeting a friend for coffee, or picking up a dessert for a special occasion. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their baked goods. This bakery has quickly become one of my favorite local spots.

It was an odd combination of flavors. It wasn't burnt but tasted like it/bitter and heavy on the butter. I would come back for the bánh bò for sure though!

Each drink is hand-whisked, so well worth the wait. Their cold foams were delicious and super flavorful as well. I was so excited to try the mango sticky rice matcha, as I hadn't seen this flavor anywhere else. The drink has a creamy salted coconut milk cold foam on top and some mango puree and glutinous rice on the bottom. Once everything was mixed, the mango flavor does get lost unfortunately. But still, the drink was amazing and rich. The guava li-hing matcha was sooo vibrant! I loved how the tropical flavor of the guava cold foam sprinkled with li-hing balanced out the earthy matcha. I've tried other guava matchas with guava puree on the bottom rather than cold foam on top, but I definitely prefer the latter to preserve the matcha flavor.
