Donut Flavors (what's left at 3:50 pm)

Q Baking Corner is located in the shopping plaza as Boiling Crab, Target, Chevron, etc. The parking can be challenging during peak hours because of the popular restaurants surrounding it. Small bakery for grab and go as there are no seats inside. Friendly staff. He said "Everything is good here" as I looked around. Vietnamese Ice Coffee - strong, flavorful yet enough condensed milk for the sweetness and creaminess. I settled on their Carrot Cake Bar. Mmmm...moist, delicate spices, full of texture and crunch from the nuts, raisins, shredded carrots, and a sweet cream cheese frosting with more roasted nuts. Support your local business.

We ordered some last minute cakes from DoorDash, and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed everything. It was all lightly sweet and perfect for the Asian palette. Star of the show was the pandan honeycomb cakes. Reheat them in the airfryer for a bit to get some crispy edges and oooh that nice bouncy texture in the middle is so good. I also had an almond cake slice and an espresso cake slice, which were light and mousse-y and just hit the spot. I know this place is known for pate choux, so I'll have to come back and give it a shot!

Great family-owned bakery! The owner and her children are very sweet and friendly. Not only do they offer donuts and coffee but they also sell Vietnamese pastries, desserts, and custom order cakes. I've ordered pork pate chaud (it also comes with chicken) and pandan honeycomb cake for family and friends parties and they're always a favorite! Order in advance by phone and you can pay using Zelle or Venmo, it's really convenient. #25-07-09

The chicken pate chaud was really good. It had a nice flakiness to it and was savory. I would definitely come here again

Lots of parking, because it's located in the shopping plaza, so will be no excise for you not to stop, park & Go In!!!! U will not regret it, they are super friendly & on it w/customer service family owned establishment & they have been around for a while, it's great to know they lasted during covid A must have is the Pate (Chicken or Pork) & of course the Vietnamese coffee w/Cheese Foam. Not oily like every where else, I've tried & for me, the pricing is

Friendly service. Plenty of parking. Accepts credit cards. Donuts were dry and they didn't have any old fashion. $18/dozen. Would not recommend the donuts. I didn't get the twists because they are half the size of twists anywhere else. I should have gotten the other items that others reviewed-pate chuad.

I love their creme brulee, banh bo, & the pate chaud. Ordered through door dash & this place did not disappoint. Their banh bo is very chewy and has the perfect sweetness to it. The creme brulee was sweet & had a nice sugar top where it cracks. So good! I haven't had good creme brulee in so long until I ordered from here. Flakey pate chaud, my kids loved it & the meat filling is plentiful. Overall good

The owner was so nice to make a last-minute cake with all the details and requests I asked for. She even suggested the color and style that can make a perfect cake. This is too pretty to eat :D

    Pork pate choud

Truly a hidden gem. Stumbled upon this while waiting in line for a table at a nearby restaurant, and we saw a guy before us purchasing 26 pate choud. Since we were eating soon, we only bought 2 to sample, and while ordering, the business owner insists we should buy more while she has stock, and that people come in to buy boxes at a time, as seen by the guy before us. We thought this was just a marketing scheme, but we were wrong because they were indeed THAT good. The pastry puff is made in house and oh so flaky yet soft and pairs amazingly well with either the chicken or pork filling. So after sampling 1 each of the chicken and pork, we bought more to take home. Then after our meal, we brought our family back so they could order more and so that we could also buy the Pandan waffle and Pandan honeycomb cake. The Pandan pastries were equally amazing and I regret only buying 1 waffle. And this time again, we saw a customer purchasing over 20 again! They also sell donuts, but I think their Vietnamese pastries are the true winner. Don't sleep on this place. There's 2 tables inside if you can't wait until you get home to eat your purchases. No public restrooms. But I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Dozen vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream $46
    Stacie N.

I chose to place an order here as I had tried a strawberry and vanilla cake at my friend's daughter birthday party last summer and really enjoyed it. That cake was light and fluffy, and the cream wasn't sweet. So I thought, let's order treats here to share with my small team at work and support local & independent businesses. The contact and order were placed via Facebook messaging with the owner Quyen @Mybaking Corner. Her FB page had a lot of pictures but no information on pricing or the menu of what she bakes. I inquired about a simple cupcake order and macs but felt I had to ask questions to get an answer rather than her providing me with her availability/options to choose from. I ordered the following after our exhance 1. A dozen macacrons (half pistachio and salted caramel) / $18. I was not informed these were mini macs. Therefore, I was surprised when I picked it up. They're slightly bigger than a rolo chocolate candy. Compared to other macs I've ordered from independent womyn businesses, this wasn't great but decent. The macaron is soft and chewey, though the shell itself brittles when you bite into it. -Pistachio flavor: it was definitely not pistachio flavor but more lemon tart (given to me wrong). The filling is not a cream lioe filling but more like a jelly/jam texture filling. It was not sweet, though I would have preferred the pistachio flavor as lemon is not a fav of mine. -Salted caramel: Jelly/jam like filling and tasted very caramel-ish and a little too sweet for me since it was a mini macaron. 2. Dozen vanilla cupcakes w/ vanilla buttercream frosting (i dont think she makes chocolate cupcakes as she didn't respond to my question about it / $46. The cupcake texture is like Vietnamese "banh bong lan" (sponge cake), or maybe it is. It's light and fluffy, not sweet at all. The buttercream is very lightly sweetened. I can barely taste the sweetness of it when tasted on its own but good when eaten together, mthough, nothing special. It's quite pricey for a dz simple cupcake. Me experience with customer service wasn't too great with the pick up. I came in to pick up the order on the morning of the rescheduled day, and informed the staff my name and that I was there to pick up my order. The staff looked around and the cupcakes was sitting on the counter so I told her must be mine. She gave me the dozen cupcakes only. I then told her I had a dozen macarons (half salted caramel and half pistachio) as well. She then looked in the glass cabinet and grabbed the container of macacrons. I noticed there were brown and slight yellowish macs so I didn't think of anything and took my order. However, I found later at lunch that the yellow-ish macs were not Pistachio, but rather lemon. If they had labeled the order then there would have not been a mistake. I was quite disappointed as anything lemon is not my favorite for dessert. I FB message Quyen later that day, and she apologized, stating that I was given the wrong order and offered for me to pick up the pistachio macs the next day. I saw the message late and didn't have time to go pick it up. There was no need to try to pick up another day as the macs may not be good anymore. However, I appreciate her flexibility with the rescheduling of my pick up as my meeting at work was canceled so I messaged her the day before to see if I can reschedule the pick up; and for offering to give me my correct order.

They're best known for their famous Burnt Almond Cake, though they also offer a variety of other pastries. Personally, I come here just for the cake. They sell it by the slice or cupcakes, and they also have whole cakes ready to go. If you're looking for a custom cake, though, be sure to place your order in advance. Their prices are still surprisingly reasonable, which makes it even more worth the trip.

We ended up getting three burnt almond cake slices (2 vanilla 1 chocolate) and some brownies. The brownies were pretty good, balanced sweetness and chocolate flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet and I enjoyed the walnuts, but it was a very fudge like texture and I prefer my brownies to be slightly more cake-y and airy. If you like fudge brownies you'd like these. My issue was the burnt almond cake, both vanilla slices were on the dry side. The chocolate slice had a hint of chocolate otherwise tasted exactly the same. The almonds and cream were fine, I would've preferred stronger almond flavor. Was meh. Price is good at $5 for a hefty slice. If I'm in the area maybe I'd go back, otherwise it was about the same as a Safeway cake slice.

We got a leek quiche, a banana latte, spinach, artichoke danish, mango croissant, almond croissant, and a ham and cheese croissant. I was trying to increase the protein to not spike my blood sugar. Lol. I'd have to say the mango and the almond croissant were probably my favorite. The strong second would definitely be the artichoke and spinach croissant danish thing. Sorry, I forgot what they called it. They offered to heat it up a bit and I definitely recommend this. They did the perfect temperature for the perfect timing. Just enough to make the outside flaky and the inside warm and soft. The pieces that had cheeses were so much better warmed up. They definitely know what they're doing there. Seating was great. I'd love the decor. You can also order off of a menu, but we were too enamored with the actual pastries to even glance at it. I took photos but made sure to not take photos of the staff. We walked into a cozy, compact space with shelves filled with freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods, all arranged in a way that makes you want to browse slowly even though the shop is small. The atmosphere has that simple, welcoming feel reminiscent of the small bakeries you find throughout Japan, focusing more on quality and variety than on a large café setup. Seating is limited, so it is better suited for grabbing something to go rather than spending a long time inside. The biggest draw here is the combination of Japanese baked goods and savory items. The bakery selection offers a great mix of sweet and savory options, with classics like melon pan standing out for its crisp sugary topping and soft interior that stays light without being dry. The curry bread and croquette bread are also popular choices, both feeling comforting and freshly made rather than overly sweet or greasy. The bakery items are reasonably priced, which makes it easy to pick up multiple things without feeling like you are spending too much, and the variety means there is always something new to try. The onigiri selection is what really makes Clover stand out compared to a typical bakery. They offer a variety of rice balls with fillings like spicy tuna, tuna mayo, and unagi, making it a great option for a quick breakfast or light meal. The rice is well balanced and the fillings give each onigiri a different personality. The spicy tuna has a nice kick that comes through without overpowering the rice, while the unagi adds a sweeter, more savory flavor that works especially well with the slightly salty rice. The onigiri are a practical, satisfying choice for anyone looking for something more substantial than a pastry. Beyond the baked goods and onigiri, Clover also has drinks, sandwiches, and desserts including cakes and other pastries. The strawberry cake is a nice lighter dessert option, and the overall menu gives plenty of reasons to visit whether you are looking for breakfast, a snack, or something to bring home. The offerings feel thoughtfully selected, with enough variety to cover different cravings without making the menu feel scattered. Service is friendly and efficient, and the small size of the shop adds to the charm. Since it has become a popular local spot, some items can sell out during busy hours, so arriving earlier gives you the best selection. Parking can also be a little challenging during peak times, but the quick grab-and-go style makes the visit easy to manage. Clover Bakery & Cafe is a great stop for anyone who enjoys Japanese bakeries. The combination of fresh breads, affordable prices, and unique savory options like onigiri makes it feel different from a standard bakery. It is the type of place where it is worth picking up a few items and trying a mix of everything, leaving you with the sense that you have found a little neighborhood gem that delivers on both quality and variety.

Husband called them around 11am and they said they were in the middle of making their strawberry cakes so they could add our order in for a same day pickup at 4pm. Pickup went well and the cake was so cute and it tasted great! Like the Chinese bakery strawberry cream cake with a moist sponge cake; not too sweet, just right. Might sound basic but it was done very well. Would 100% recommend. I don't know prices for cakes nowadays but I didn't feel bad paying about $60 for a cute and tasty cake (6", strawberry cream cake). I wouldn't bank on same day pickups, I might've just been very lucky they were in the middle of making their cakes but it wouldn't hurt to try calling early in the day if you're in a pinch for a solid cake. I'm very thankful for their service!

Finding parking isn't difficult…read morebut might take a minute on busy days, as it shares a parking lot with the rest of a popular plaza. The store itself is easy to find as well, with a clear label outside. Walking in, it looks half-closed--their cakes are all stored in a large refrigerator, with nothing in the case on the counter. There is a sign proclaiming "takeout only" in slight disarray, and the seating is pushed to the side. That said, the service is friendly and the employees are quick to help you and show you what they have in stock for takeout. I ordered the 4" Berry Berry Light Cake for a birthday, and they were able to write a birthday message on the cake board, which I really appreciated. The cake also tasted very light and the sweetness was subtle, which I really enjoyed. The berry flavor in the sponge was a little too subtle, though. My main concern is that the cake does not fully resemble the picture they advertised online. It is missing the freeze-dried berries on top, and the berry glaze did not reach as far down the cake as was shown in the photo. Because the berry glaze is the main source of the berry flavor, this was a little disappointing. Also, the cake was not finished when I came to pick up the cake (and I was ~5 minutes late). I'm uncertain if this is for freshness or if there is another reason. Overall, I like the spot for the fresh and light cake. It's pleasantly unique compared to your standard sheet cake, and everything is rather cute. However, it may be a better idea to buy the cakes in-person to be 100% sure of what it will look like, though daily stock is definitely more limited than if you place an order online. I hope they reopen their indoor seating soon.
