Lihing Mango Margarita: tequila, orange liquor, lime juice, mango puree, simple syrup, and Li Hing Mui Powder. The presentation and taste did not reflect a professional catering experience, and several guests commented on the disappointment. Given the high cost, the value simply was not there. I arranged for The Party Helpers to cater a Celebration of Life reception after a church service. Celebrants raved about the quality of the food, the attentiveness of the staff, their flower display (which coordinated with my color scheme), their clean-up (which included packing up leftovers for me), and their packing out all trash after the event. A number of church members said it was the best catered event they'd seen in a decade, and they'd seen quite a few. Staff even conferred with me ahead of time about the best guest flow past the food display to minimize congestion during serving. The website was instrumental in my selection of this caterer. There were many items to choose from and each had a photo with the ingredients noted. Note: there is no pre-tasting option. I hired The Party Helpers for my daughter's first birthday party. They cater their service at a venue located at the Santa Teresa Golf Course. The staff was extremely helpful and generous. I even had one of the staff members help me with the cake after he set up the appetizer bar. The only thing that I do not recommend is their Apricot Brie en Brioche as it got soggy throughout the event. The samosas had an American touch to it (not from an Indian restaurant) so the taste and the chutney for those were a little different. Overall a great experience. read more

We chose The Party Helpers to cater our wedding reception and are *so* glad that we did. The food was delicious and Hilary and the rest of the staff were terrific from start to finish. The initial tasting that we did at their facility was a real foretaste of what was to come -- the food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, the setting was quiet and relaxed, the service was great, and it was all a very positive indication of what was to come at the wedding. On our wedding day Hilary and crew showed up on time, got the venue setup with tables, chairs, dinnerware, and buffet, and started passing trays of hors d'oeuvres when the ceremony ended (mini crepe filled with roasted veggies tied with leek ribbon, chicken skewers with mojito with mint sauce, sesame shrimp and Asian vegetable cucumber roll with lotus root chip served on Asian spoon). The main buffet consisted of spring green salad, grilled asparagus, grilled, Portobello mushrooms stuffed with risotto, herb crusted Parmesan chicken, grilled marinated tri-tip, and pan seared cod. We were thrilled with it ourselves and the food and service were both just like at the tasting. We got many compliments from guests both during and after the wedding about how great the food was and how great the service was. The desserts were also excellent: assorted macaroons, mini cupcakes, mini tarts, mini parfaits, and dessert bars. Throughout the entire process, from first contact, to tentative menu selection, tasting, china/silver/linens/chair/glassware selection, final menu, hors d'oeuvres/dinner/dessert at the reception, setup/cleanup, friendly and helpful staff and service, and responsiveness throughout the process, we were thrilled with Hilary and The Party Helpers! We hired The Party Helpers for our daughter's baby shower. I met with Brenda and explained our vision for a small intimate gathering in our backyard. Brenda knew exactly what we were going for and sent a proposal that was within our budget. On Saturday, Mary and her crew arrived and were fabulous! They were prompt, masked, and served up a wonderful brunch for our family and friends. In late June, we had the most amazing and intimate wedding celebration of 32 people in our backyard thanks to The Party Helpers! Jeffrey and I had a detailed vision and plan for our special day, and Kristin and Brenda made sure that our plan was executed to perfection. The staff we had that day was so kind and professional the moment they stepped onto our property. Everything was so easy-going and seemed effortless from The Party Helpers. The food was just as elegant and delicious as it was during our pre-event tasting. The staff passed out champagne pre-ceremony and continued serving wine and passed mixed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. During dinner service, they worked as a team to serve a delicious and beautiful meal to all our guests while going around and refilling wine at tables. After dinner, they set up a coffee station and served cake that we ordered from an outside bakery. And before their service was done with any clean-up we needed from them, they all gathered to congratulate us and kindly say good-bye.
