This place is so good! I have been to Puerto Rico 3 times and have gone here every time. The nachos spoil you so much, and they should all be like that moving forward. I also got to try a lemon margarita, and as a lemon lover, it was delicious!

Great Mexican food spot near Luquillo / El Yunque. Valet parking option. The menu is a little confusing and I'm still not fully sure between the burrito super and super supreme. The guacamole is more of an avocado salsa with chunks of avocado in an acidic sauce, not a mash, but it's delicious. Had the chicken fajita burrito - the sauce it's covered in is amazing. I could drink that by the gallon. The chips and salsa are good - the salsa is very spicy and delicious! Very reasonably priced. Super casual inside. Service was good but there was a little bit of a language issue and she seemed frazzled by how busy the restaurant was and kept needing to come back.

First time to Lolita's Mexican restaurant it is on a very busy avenue the restaurant is on a second floor, The place can get very busy the decor was not to bad the service was fast and very friendly the food was cooked and seasoned well the only let down was the cheese fondue was nothing great besides that the fajitas I had were delicious some of the best I ever had great spot for a great dinner or lunch.

Our family went here last night at the recommend of a family we met at the beach. The place was packed! Parking was a little tricky, but there are workers outside that can help you find a spot. We didn't have to wait very long before being seated. Our waiter was extremely friendly and allowed us to use our Spanish with him even if it took us a little longer because we are language learners. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly and it was delicious. The portions were good and the price was reasonable for the amount of food served. We had no complaints. We ordered dessert--tres leches and mango passion fruit cheesecake. Yum! The only complaint I had was that it was extremely noisy. It could be that we were a party of six seated near other loud parties...but it was so loud that it was hard to hear our waiter and each other at times.

Lolita's Mexican Restaurant, Hwy 3, Luquillo, Puerto Rico. Lolita's is one of those delightful surprises that makes a vacation truly wonderful. It is difficult to describe. It's more than the varied menu, more than the authentic Mexican cuisine, more than the large portions, more than the beautiful décor and the beautiful murals on every wall, more than the very efficient staff, more than the hands-on manager keeping an eye over everything... oh, and the food. It is truly the best anywhere. I had the Chicken Fajitas Dinner Plate and thoroughly enjoyed it; others in my party were similarly satisfied with their orders. Lolita's is busy. And sometimes noisy. By the time we left, the line to get in was long. This restaurant is the very best and it obviously is not a secret. Hope you someday- soon!- get to enjoy it!

Happy 5 de Mayo!Fabulous food. The owners are very nice. Try the carnitas! Wow, pork at its best. W keep coming back. If you visit Fajardo o Luquillo this is the place to eat. Kristal - our waitress was the best. Great Mexican food. Try the Mango Margarita!! Do not miss!

So I have no idea why we stopped for Mexican food in Puerto Rico of all places. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't particularly good either. I ordered the super nachos which I was too hungry to snap a pick of and an Al pastor taco. The nachos were OK, not too expensive so I won't complain, but the portion size was quite small and there wasn't much meat like you'd get in LA/Mexico on nachos. Coming from LA, my expectations for Al pastor tacos are pretty high. Again, not bad, but they weren't worth 2.75(crazy high for a taco btw) I think it's a solid place to go with the family if y'all are in a pinch and don't know what to eat. There's a decent selection of kid's dishes, your chicken strips, burgers etc and the food isn't crazy expensive. The customer service is also really great. The servers were very attentive and kind, as you'd expect in PR. TLDR: Solid prices. Definitely overrated, tho.

Food was great but service could have been slightly better. I think with them being so busy they are not able to accommodate the people and their needs. We stopped on our way to the kayak tour in Fajardo which is perfect because it's on the way and no detour needed. Margs were delicious get the frozen mango!!

Hmmmm would I come back here again? YES!! Solely because the margarita was super delicious, well made and cheap! The margarita didn't have ice in it but it was made with the right amount of tequila. Hubby and I shared a chips and guacamole which was a little disappointing because the chips tasted generic and the guacamole was not out of this world, it was as if they didn't even try to make good guacamole. My in laws had a burrito that was huge and thick so I definitely want to try that next time. They come here a lot and always order that so I guess it's a must. Parking seems to be an issue here so give yourself time. The food came out super fast and the staff is super friendly and cool. Would I come back? YES!

I wish this restaurant was in the US. Best Mexican food anywhere. I would fly to PR just to eat here every week if I could afford. The best are the nachos. Individual prepared with all the fixing. Prices are reasonable and the drinks are great. Always recommend. Love the valet parking because it's tough to park in the little strip mall. Hopefully be back soon.

We had a variety of smoked meats, the mahi mahi over coconut rice, and the smoked pastrami. Their sides were also really good, and so were the mixed drinks. There is an uncovered patio with seating and straw-covered umbrellas. We did not have a reservation, but were able to get seated within 10 minutes of arrival. A reservation is a must. There is an area adjacent to the restaurant that sells the food items by the pound. This is one of the more expensive places to eat on this side of the island. The smell of the smoked meat and seasonings is intoxicating, drawing you in. I had a glass of lemonade, Caribbean Chicken Wings Ceviche, and a smoked tuna dip. My main course was the grilled lobster and fries. I sampled the cole slaw, red beans, and rice. The lemonade was very watery, as if it had been poured before and was ready for guests when they ordered it, since it was served quickly. Would take a pass on this. The Caribbean Chicken Wings were delightful. It has a sweet, smoky, slightly crunchy texture, with just a pinch of spice, heat, and flavor. I enjoyed this and did not want to share with family. The smoked tuna dip was delightful, not overly creamy, and retained the tuna's texture and flavor; I wanted to order another and would have appreciated a few more wings than what was served. The Ceviche was a little underwhelming but done well. I am on the picket fence on whether pineapple helps or hurts the dish, so I would pass on this when going back. The grilled lobster was beautifully presented. The spices and grilled marks were prominent and beautiful. The spices and flowers were just amazing, and they retained the lobster flavor despite the bold seasonings. The red beans and rice were well-cooked, but had very little flavor. This was disappointing given how ubiquitous this dish is on the island and the restaurant's ability. My son had the El Matahambre: "Kill your hunger" BBQ sandwich. Pulled pork, smoked bacon, BBQ sauce, and cheddar on a local bread called Mayorca. I sampled the pork. Tender, well done, seasoned, and perfect. This is a must-stop place. Remember to set a reservation, and that this is not a cheap place to eat. I want to go back soon, and I am wondering if they would ever consider chicken beyond the appetizer.

Weird story though: We'd been having some rough travel days, and so we were delighted to find this charming and lively little spot down the hill from where we were staying. No sooner had we ordered food and had our first sips of our drinks when a swarm of moth-esque flies swarmed in. I mean it was a freak situation, like a plague. Given our luck, I'm pretty sure we summoned them somehow. It went from a few bugs to as many as 1,000 in minutes. Judging by the surprised reaction of the employees, it was definitely not par for the course. After 20 minutes of swatting and brushing, it mercifully began to rain, which halted the swarm, but the owner and his crew had managed to continue to be gracious hosts in the midst of trying to deal with the chaos of making sure the food was safe and the guests were doing alright. In the end, we got our food and a round of drinks to go, and there was nary a sign that such a wild thing had just happened. The fish tacos and the chicken nachos were both really good. We even got a ride in a kitted-out club car from one of the crew back up to where we were staying.

What ruined it was our server. Very unattended, distracted and not mindful of the table and patrons. Sigh, smh. That would be my only complaint. Had we had maybe another server, maybe a 5 star would've been given... MAYBE! The food took a good while to come out, almost 40 minutes and they were empty. Our drinks didn't come out at the same time (like water and refreshments not alcohol) and to get refill on water was a hassle as well as the chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious btw but the chips were questionable. The food - delicious! No complaint whatsoever!... Except, it's supposed to be a "Mexican" cuisine but it is not. The food has Puerto Rican seasoning and flavor to it so if you wanted Mexican cuisine, it's not here.
