I would say one of the worst places I've gone in a long time. When we first walked in two customers were getting yelled at by the server. Don't really know what happened. The guy kept screaming all I want is my money My cousin and I placed our order at the same time and the lady forgot that my cousin ordered ordered a plate as well. The food is OK. For the price it wasn't worth it. We did not realize that they close at 8 o'clock. We were not warned at all that they close. My cousin and I were catching up because we haven't seen each other in years. The bartender yelled at us and said did you realize we close at 8 o'clock. She should've warned us ahead of time instead of yelling at us. I will never set foot in this place ever again. Can't believe they would be so rude to their customers. we left at 8:22 PM I apologized and said I'm so sorry I'm from out of town. I was quite taken back how rude the bartender was. We even gave her a really good tip and she had to be so damn rude. I don't know what her story is but she shouldn't be working there if she's gonna treat her customers like garbage. OK some say you can't get good Mexican food outside of California. I beg to differ with you! You need to visit El Azteca in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. They have chicken tacos to die for, chicken taquitos that are over the top and chicken taco salad that has a huge portion of chicken and tasty. The spices are mild but flavorful and their staff are super nice, friendly and attentive. P.S. they mix a pretty good margarita too! read more

If I could give a lesser star than one, I would. the service here is terrible. They will continuously say how busy they are, yet there's hardly anyone in the restaurant. Last night I went to the bar section with a friend. After sitting there for 20 minutes we were finally recognized and told it would be a wait since they are so busy. There was maybe four people in the entire place, including the couple seated next to us. The couple next to us had their order taken, and when I questioned about our order, we only wanted one drink then we would leave, we were told that their new rule is they cannot allow that any longer. I will never set foot in that place again, they were incredibly rude. save yourself the headache and go just down the street to the other Mexican restaurant they are much nicer there. read more

I ordered the lunch special, two enchiladas for $10.75. The refried beans were a thin paste. I told them to go easy on the beans and rice in the burrito I ordered for take out. Its ok Mexican food, the service is hit and miss. It will either be ok or so slow that you could cook at home. The booth seats are lumpy and some have broken spring that you feel like you are falling through the seat. Its the only restaurant in the area that serves hard alcohol- thats what attracts most of the customers. read more

I don't know if they are under new management or just slow decline. I used to enjoy this place. I ordered a taco salad. Literally had it in less than 5 minutes. It was just assembled, absolutely nothing prepared fresh. Then I got the fried ice cream, but it wasn't fried. It was coated already and frozen rock solid. I couldn't eat it. The waitress asked if I didn't like it and I explained. Although I didn't ask, I thought they might take it off the bill since I didn't eat it. Nope. At least the waitress was nice. read more

I've been here 9 times in the last year. Only 2 out of those 9 did we get decent service. The food is flavorless. Can you get a server that welcomes you when you walk in? Maybe a server that asks if you need anything else when you are eating? Maybe some salt on the food? And PLEASE get that barking dog out of the kitchen! Isn't that against health regulations??!!! Expensive expensive expensive !!! For what you get the prices are ridiculous. I paid $9 for one small drink and the small glass was only have full including ice. Margaritas were gross and were told they would take it off the bill but was given attitude and said they couldn't and needed to show a manager..... we had two servers, one was good and the other one sucked! read more

Good is not consistent, sometime good other times not. Prices have been raised thru the roof ...you even need to pay for chips & salsa ‍. I order here only when Armandos is closed and I don't want to cook. If I had more choices in Myrtle Creek I would pass on this place all together. The enchiladas are quite good. I really liked the chile fritos that I ordered. If you like spicy food then order a side of the chile fritos. Im glad i did They have an excellent selection of Mexican sodas, so if you have kids that can be a nice novelty. read more

The food is great and I come in quite often due to the friendly service but it definitely isn't the same without Acasha's smiling face, kind attitude, and attentiveness. Most of the other ladies are slow and don't seem to actually care about their guests. Definitely might consider going somewhere else to find better service now. read more

I generously gave El Aztecs a two star since we are still in Corona Virus mode. Otherwise it would have been a one star. Slow service even tho order was called in to pick up. They forgot one of the pork burritos so we had to wait even longer until it was made. We should have left without it. Never had food this bad. Large chunks of dried meat, I mean pork. Thank goodness the beans and rice in the burrito were good. But $16.95 was an extreme price for bad food. First and last time to go here. And I live in the area. Sad. read more

To preface; I'd been here once before and the food and service were great. Last night, however, I was met with some of the worst service I've ever received. After being casually told to find our own seats because the present server "was on break", we had to wait a bit longer than I would've expected for our drink order to come and food order be taken. No big deal, it's a pretty laid back place. I don't mind that. The drinks came. Margaritas. Kinda bland, but still no big deal, they weren't terrible. The clencher was when our server finally arrived to take our food order. Being a vegetarian, I asked for a chimichanga sans meat. Basically just rice, beans, whatever it usually comes with, just no meat. The server literally scoffs and chuckles at this. I ask her why, and she gives me some nonsensical excuse as to why it's a difficult request, when in seven years of ordering the same things in Mexican restaurants, it's never been an issue. At this point we decide that we won't be eating there. She attempted to apologise after I told her superior(in front of her) that our reason for leaving was her poor attitude. Too little too late, I'm afraid. The food's really not bad, but due to this experience, I can hardly recommend it. If you love meat, or are a vegetarian/vegan who can deal with arrogant kids treating you like a fool; you'll probably be fine. Not for me, though. My wife and I ate here today for lunch, we both had combo lunch specials, The meals were flavor-less, the refried beans were so runny that my fork could not scoop them up and they don't give you a spoon, so it's a lot of work to eat the beans. the rice was dry, no taste, no sauce in or on our enchilada's ,the chicken was dry with no flavor. would have been nice to have sauce, red or green on our food. read more

When I got back to the hotel the food was piping hot & delicious. I had chicken mole & it was nice & spicy & just right. My wife & daughter liked their meals as well. Ordered #1, Chicken Enchilada and Chicken Taco plus rice and beans. Food was tasty but not spectacular. The highlight was the chips and salsa which is the primary reason I go out for Mexican. The salsa had a little kick that was perfect for my taste. Beans had a little flavor and rice was generally bland. We went the same night as Thursday Music in the Park and everyone commented how busy it was for a Thursday night. We still had no problem getting right in for our party of six. We stopped here for dinner on our way back home to California, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. The reason I say this is because there's not a whole lot around Myrtle Creek. It's not a large city so to find a high quality mexican restaurant around that area kind of surprised us. We ordered tacos and thought they were a good size and pretty delicious! They have regular soft drinks but also bottled mexican drinks. Our waitress was pleasant and our food was brought out quickly. Address is still wrong but I won't hold it against them. Went in to watch the Monday night game and again Terin the bartender was outstanding. The bar was quiet enough to hear the game and not to loud. Didn't eat tonight but was offered chips and salsa a few times making me feel welcome. My glass never went empty, great atmosphere and a great bartender. Beautiful smile and outstanding customer service, she really makes you feel at home and comfortable. I'm conflicted about writing a review over something that seems petty. It's was just handled so poorly. We have been to this location quite a few times and I've always enjoyed the food. The chicken Mole is wonderful and some of the best I've had. I also love the salsa. The few times I've been there, I always order the same thing. Chicken Mole, with a side of sour cream. I've always been served regular sour cream. Today I was served Mexican Crema (which is completely fine but very different). I'm just not a fan of it. To me it tastes like plain yogurt with a sour milk aftertaste. Again, it's a cultural thing and I'm not disrespecting that. At first I thought maybe it had gone bad and sent it back, politely I might add, and figured out that I was probably served Crema after she had gone back to the kitchen with it. After a couple minutes of listening to my server and the cooks joke around about it (seriously talk a little quieter if you're going to be rude) a different waitress came back and apologized and explained what I had already figured out. I asked her if they had any regular sour cream, she said they didn't. Again, not a big deal but I feel this should be advertised in the menu if they've changed their menu items. They brought me a fresh Mexican Crema (which tasted vastly different from the first one but I still couldn't stomach it.) I'd like to also add that there are some health benefits to regular sour cream over Mexican crema, being that crema usually has twice the sodium on top of whatever they add to it in the kitchen. So if you're conscience about your sodium intake this is slightly misleading. I cannot imagine I'm the only person that has not acquired a taste for Crema, and I'm not insulting it, but I certainly felt like the "dumb American" after the way it was handled. Is purchasing a $3.00 tub of regular sour cream for you fridge too much to ask if you're not going change your menus? Especially if you've served sour cream previously and it's the standard amongst most Mexican restaurants? Sour cream and Mexican Crema are just not the same thing and the fact that I was still charged for the false advertising, and a food item I wasn't satisfied with, was even more annoying. I took the bulk of my meal home where I could enjoy if with my condiment of choice. If you're staff is going to joke and insult the customer they should practice using their "quiet voice". Secondly, your menus need to reflect the items you're serving. read more
