    Tortilla Chips & Salsa

El Azteca 91 Park Ave. Park Ridge, NJ 07656 Tortilla Chips & Salsa Steak Chimichangas Chicken Chipotle Burrito Steak Burrito Chorizo Tacos Al Pastor Tacos Churros Take a localized trip to Mexico at this location that offers a variety of Spanish cuisine. My favorite choice are the the burritos. Packed with protein, rice, beans, salsa, you'll never go wrong with each bite. Compared to the chimichangas and tacos, its display is the most attractive. If you happen to be in the area on Tuesdays, take advantage of the Taco Tuesday Special; four tacos for $6.99. You are allowed to ordered either four identical tacos or two twins. Although this is a really good deal, the burritos still win the competition as the best entree. If you have a sweet tooth, the churros will satisfy that craving. Served warm and loaded with sugar, these doughy sticks will rock your world. If you can't make it to Mexico, but still want to get a "taste," I highly recommend you pick up some carry out. #burritos #tacos #chimichanga #churros #ElAzteca #parkridge

3.5: it seems very easy to get the order wrong and today was our day. I ordered steak tacos and received pulled pork, and requested no onions and they didn't provide any cilantro or other toppings either. The result were dry tacos. We didn't bother to complain but it was a bummer and seems like it could easily happen again. As expected the vegetarian burrito was good, well stuffed, fat and tasty. If you check your order and order more authentic items, you should be fine.

I had a delivery order from Azteca today. I chose SOPES plate, which has three of them. You have the option to combine 3 different kind of stews. Mine had two of grilled steak and one with Chicken. Sopes are a thick corn tortilla ; They had a layer of beans, iceberg lettuce & Mexican cream on the top. The order came with two kind of spicy Salsas( medium spicy) , one green and one red on the side .Green was delicious. All of the ingredients were high-quality This is really Mexican cuisine plate. Congrats to all the team and God bless you.

Chipotle chicken burrito bowl...yum! Cute inside few tables. Nice ladies that work there. Seems all very authentic.

One of my go-to spots for authentic Mexican food. El Azteca is a small casual sit down restaurant. There are only a few tables in there so seating is limited. The owner was friendly. I recommend the burritos - for around $12, you get a massive/delicious grilled burrito. Worth every dollar

I have to say... over the past year the portion sizes have got smaller while the prices seem to increase. My past two visits two months ago and this week have made me update this post. #1 The salsa I believe is not authentic in anyway. And if it is authentic, there's entirely too much cumin in it. #2 The Carne Asada tacos did not have much flavor to them. tYhe portion size is considerably smaller from past visits. The tortillas were barely steamed or cooked. #3 on a final note Covid is over please take down the barrier. This barrier is intrusive and absolutely unnecessary. I can't hear what your employees are saying when I'm ordering, which is frustrating. And once again, there's absolutely no need for it. I had you all at a five star prior and I am now updating it to a two star . I love small businesses. as I am an owner myself. but you must greet the customers. The owner was there and he did greet a soul or even say thank you. Please, ask them what they like and don't like.. this is how you build upon success in my own experiences. If I would've had a conversation with management, I would not be writing this review. I look forward to seeing some changes on my return.

Great burritos, service isn't the best in the realm of picking up food but other than that the food is great.

It was alright, nothing to write home about. Kinda flavorless meat in the tacos. The burrito was weak as well.

From the service to the food and drinks, it was all amazing. We started with chips and guacamole for the table. The guac was perfectly made! For dinner, I tried the Ropa Vieja. It was a big plate so I had leftovers to bring home. We split fried Oreos for dessert along with an espresso martini. It was our waiter's birthday and staff came out to sing happy birthday with a cake in the dining room. I thought that was especially nice of the management team to do. Too bad, he was not able to have a birthday shot ha!

Our community standards have fallen so low it's ridiculously hard to find a restaurant with good Mexican food, let alone great food. But I am happy to say this is it!!! I had grilled chicken fajitas that were sizzling hot, with browned meat and veggies. The flour tortillas were soft and fresh. The beans and rice on the side were tasty. I was a little surprised they were skimpy on the pico, guac, and sour cream for the sides and there was no grated cheese. In fairness I suppose I could have asked for some more or some cheese on the side but didn't. Otherwise though I was quite pleased with the experience. Service was on point. The atmosphere was cheerful and bright. Group friendly. Bustling bar.

My friend and went there on a complete whim. It popped up when we were searching for a place to go…read more Boy, am I so glad we did!! First, the place is very clean and well kept. Decor was minimal but nice and comfortable. Had great music in the background (80's rock - yes I'm GenX). We decided to sample a few things so for appetizers we got the mini calzones (sausage and broccoli rabe) that came 3 on a plate and were about the size of a ravioli and stuffed full. Absolutely delicious. Not overwhelming in garlic taste or sausage - a perfect balance. We also got the lobster dumplings. This came in a small bowl with broccoli florets and a tasty sauce. There were 4 dumplings and again, perfect balance, did not have an overwhelming lobster smell at all and the sauce was tangy with a sweet aftertaste. We also had the ahi tuna tacos, came 2 on a plate, piled high with cabbage, a slice of avocado, tuna, and a crème sauce that left me wanting more, and 2 cucumber slices on top. Again - delicious. For dinner we split the Ahi Tuna and it came with Soba Noodles and Bok Choi in a sauce. The tuna was seared with, what tased like, crushed red pepper flakes but it only had a slight "kick" to it. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted so great. We got the polenta on the side and it was perfect for offsetting the spice! Dessert matched the meal in its taste and presentation! We had the dark chocolate mousse and the napoleon. I think the best part of both was the ice cream that came with it, a perfect addition to the dessert and presented with such elegance that you almost didn't want to eat it. Our waiter was fantastic. He gave us some good suggestions that we went with and did not steer us wrong. Right now, they are BYOB. We had a great chat with the chef on our way out and he was super nice and friendly (and he beat Bobby Flay!). This is our new favorite place and can't wait to go back to try more. They have a lunch menu that is different from the dinner menu that I can't wait to try. Chef Michael says his chicken burger is the best! Gotta try it!!
