A Mexican Restaurant that is a staple in Atlanta. Highly recommended- great service and food quality. The menu is well designed with many options and good prices. If you're anywhere on Roswell Rd hold out for this spot. They just redesigned the restaurant. Outdoor seating and cool dining area. Comfortable for a large group or stop in for quick lunch or dinner Birthday celebration was a great way to end a fun lunch

Texas margarita and Milagros extra large margarita was amazing! Carlos was an amazing bartender. He was fun and on point with the drinks! The shrimp taco (on corn), chunky guacamole, and nacho were amazing. The nachos were seasoned sooo good. Tasted like they cook the beef all day!

Server was nice and the vibe was cool. The nachos I had were decent at best and but the drinks were good and strong. Would come back to give it another chance.

The chunky guacamole here is our favorite! Things you should know: I. PARKING There is a massive, free public parking lot out front ~ easy. II. SERVICE Accommodating friendly, and timely. Chips and salsa are complimentary, of course. III. QUALITY We order the same dish at every Mexican Restaurant and it's safe to say their fajitas are great compared to others and their guacamole is phenomenal. IV. CAPACITY We came here on a Wednesday evening for dinner and there was plenty of seating available.

Came here on Taco Tuesday and El Azteca did not disappoint! The service was good and fast, and the decor made me feel like I was in Mexico! Everything I had was great!

Shrimp Fajita lunch special on Mondays. $10.

So the last time I ate at this location it was called Uncle Julio's. I don't know if there was a change in ownership or just a name change. The decor and menu seem about the same. I visited on a Monday and they have a Monday fajita lunch special for $10 (chicken or shrimp) so I went with the shrimp fajitas. I was very pleased with my choice. It came with 8 nice large jumbo shrimp cooked and seasoned well with all the usual accompaniment. Service was quick and attentive. The place is family/kid friendly. I was impressed. I remember not liking Uncle Julio's much. I don't remember why except that it was noisy and crowded when i came before and on a Monday at lunch they were at about half capacity and the staff had time to wait in everyone. 5 stars and I don't do that in a first visit, ever, but I have been here before, just under a different name. Try it out.

Had the chicken fajita nachos today and they were pretty good, I loved the queso on there and I'm not even a queso girl. My friend enjoyed her shrimp tacos

Lack luster ! The server was also the bartender and made me feel rushed. She was juggling a lot and I felt it and saw it. The restaurant is clean and empty. No happy hour specials. Even after telling the server that this was my first time here, no assistance, no recommendations or suggestions nothing.. I felt like I was a number... first time, last time. I can easily stay home.

What's used to be Uncle Julio's is now a hip new El Azteca location! Azteca has changed a relic in something to relish! My food was fresh and sizzling hot! This Azteca location gives you the great food that El azteca has served for years with the ambiance you haven't experienced at Azteca before. It's Peachtree location gives a similar vibe, but I prefer this location for a couple of reasons but one huge one is - PARKING IS GREAT! No one wants to fight Peachtree traffic when you can experience El Azteca without the hustle! Oh and ask for the super spicy home made salsa! So good. So creamy! Isabella was our bartender. She was very delightful. She managed to take of us really well all while juggling a customer who talked to her every min at the end of the bar. I was impressed!

We were greeted immediately upon walking in and there were so many people I was nervous we weren't going to be able to eat there, but looks were deceiving and there were more tables in the back. We sat outside on a cool day and they had heaters going. Our server was super nice for our first time and brought fresh salsa and chips. I ordered a trio of tacos so I could try a few, the tacos were phenomenal. The meat was seasoned well and plentiful in the taco. I wanted to like the chimichurri taco more, but like some others have mentioned the meat was a bit big when trying to get a bite. We needed to leave to get to the venue and once mentioning our time crunch the server pointed us in the best direction and let us out the back door. Ordered the shrimp tacos, beef barbacoa, beef birria taco, pork carnitas, beef consome, guac chips, tres leches. Our first time, ordered the taco feast and the birria pizza and it was soo much food. This is our third time and it's quickly becoming our favorite. We've already told a ton of our friends about this place!! The waiter Alex was nice and did apologize that the consome came out first; it did surprise us haha I have a gripe though; we were going to order a dessert but he told us that my birthday tres leches dessert would be on the house. When we got home, realized he charged us for it. A real shame. We tipped extra/24% because of the free dessert. We learned our lesson for being too trusting. 3/5 Update: Ariadna the assistant manager contacted me and remedied the situation by comping the dessert and appetizer. I appreciate her timeliness and her being succinct. Switched to 5/5

I appreciated that the onions were finely diced and uniform, it may seem like a small detail, but it made each bite clean and balanced. I ordered a variety of meats, and it was immediately clear that the quality is excellent. Everything was diced small, cooked perfectly tender, and packed with flavor. Not a single bite was chewy, which really speaks to the care in preparation. The tortillas were outstanding, sturdy without being tough, with a depth of corn flavor that made me wonder if they're house-made or cooked with a high-quality fat. Either way, they held together beautifully and elevated the tacos. The salsa bar was another highlight, offering several fantastic options. Every sauce had great flavor and a well-balanced consistency. The place was packed, and I was the only non-Hispanic person there, which felt like a very good sign of authenticity. Despite that, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

It was a little pricey at $14 for 3 small-ish tacos, but each taco was packed with meat. I also got a taco de la abuela with pastor meat. I didn't try a normal taco, so not sure if there's a notable difference in the tortilla, but I thought the pastor taco was solid as well. I felt like perhaps it was lacking a little in flavor? But I do appreciate the amount of meat that's given. The slices of pineapple are nice as well - very authentic. Throughout my dining experience, most customers were picking up/taking orders to go. I decided to get the Enchiladas Suizas combination plate (with rice, green beans and pico de gallo). There were 2 enchiladas with shredded chicken, smothered in a sauce with lots of Mexican cheese on top. The meat was tender. My friend ordered a 1/2 order of the Nachos supreme with ground beef.
