I had to try out the Oxtail Birrias like WHAT??!!!! it was so good. 3 oxtail birria tacos with consome. it's not a cheap dish either for 3 tacos but I figure the cost is because of the meat being oxtails. Meat was tender and flavorful.

Tacos El Kohuich serves up some truly excellent street tacos! Since moving to Atlanta, I've found it surprisingly difficult to come across authentic, high-quality Mexican food, especially compared to what I was used to in New York City and during frequent trips to California, where amazing Mexican cuisine is easy to find. That's why discovering Tacos El Kohuich inside Politan Row was such a pleasant surprise. The tacos are packed with flavor, the meats are well-seasoned and cooked just right, and the tortillas taste fresh and hold up perfectly. You can really tell they care about the quality of their ingredients. Their guacamole is also a standout - creamy, flavorful, and clearly made fresh. It's the perfect compliment to the tacos. Overall, this place is a hidden gem and has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Politan Row. If you're craving authentic Mexican street food in Atlanta, this is absolutely worth a visit!

Quesaburilla tacos: A bit oily given fried but so yummy. Very cheese, well melted. Sauces are perfect. Would order again. A bit pricey for 3 tacos tho $17ish

    My extra sour cream

I ordered a burrito bowl with extra sour cream, which already comes with sour cream included. However, when I checked my order, there was no sour cream in the bowl or in the bag. I brought it up to the cashier, who agreed that it didn't look like any sour cream had been added. Unfortunately, when we approached the staff member behind the food counter, she had a terrible attitude and was extremely unwilling to fix the mistake. Her customer service was awful--she was rude, dismissive, and clearly didn't want to help. Honestly, she shouldn't be interacting with customers at all if that's how she treats them. One star for customer service. Very disappointing experience.

Mid tacos for the price. They don't sell individual tacos you have to order a plate with rice and beans.

Menu is extensive which could make it difficult to choose from so many dishes. Chips and salsa were brought almost immediately with a medium level of spice. The waiter asked if we wanted the habanero salsa. I took one tiny taste and it definitely was spicy! I decided to get the Enchiladas Suizas combination plate (with rice, green beans and pico de gallo). There were 2 enchiladas with shredded chicken, smothered in a sauce with lots of Mexican cheese on top. The meat was tender. My friend ordered a 1/2 order of the Nachos supreme with ground beef. The waiter and my friend said that the regular order of Nachos was huge! They weren't kidding! Our waiter was attentive, checking to make sure things were good and if we needed refills on our drinks or anything else we might need. Found out the salsa is home made, which is a good thing! There is patio seating available, tables in the bar area and regular booths and tables in the main dining area. The music was lively but not so loud that you can't carry on a conversation Apparently, there are several other locations, but this one was convenient for me while I'm in Dunwoody. Will go again!

The FIFA World Cup match was playing on multiple screens, creating a lively vibe throughout the restaurant. There was plenty of seating available, both indoors and on the patio. My server greeted me promptly with warm chips and fresh salsa while I looked over the menu. The menu is extensive--almost a little overwhelming--but I already knew I was in the mood for tacos, so ordering was easy. The tacos arrived surprisingly fast, and the portion sizes were just right. My only critique is that the beef could have been seasoned a bit more to bring out additional flavor. Overall, though, the meal was satisfying, the service was quick, and the prices were very reasonable, making it a solid choice for a casual taco outing.

I think due to the noise in the place, I agreed to some sort of red sauce being splashed onto the taco. I won't do that again. The pico from the salsa and chips would have been a better choice. The ambiance is fun and casual. We loved how this location was styled/themed more than our usual location. As soon as we sat down, we were given chips and salsa and our waitress Marzia arrived to take our drink orders. Since I'm pregnant, I can't get my margaritas just yet, so we stuck with waters. We also put in an order of small queso with jalapeños on the side and a small guacamole. Apologies that I didn't snap pics of these! Both came quickly! Our queso arrived first, and then soon after, our waitress prepared our guac tableside. The queso was tasty as always, and the guacamole honestly blew us away with how perfect it was! So flavorful, chunky, and delicious. We loved everything so much, we pounded it and even finished a second basket of chips before our food arrived--which is really saying something because... By 5:35pm, which is just 20 minutes after we initially sat down, our food arrived! Marzia was attentive and kind our entire time here and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed his usual shrimp bowl, along with an added egg on top and a side of plantains. I loved my combo #5 which was two enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice and refried beans were so warm and comforting. My chosen enchiladas--one cheese, and one steak--completely satisfied my craving/the reason we stopped in! So yummy! I don't normally get steak with my enchiladas, but my husband, who hasn't eaten steak in 12+ years, was feeling adventurous and said that if I got it, he'd love to try it. This was momentous, so of course I said yes, as it opens up more options for him/us rather than just doing seafood or vegetarian all the time. I eat everything, so since he's recently ventured into trying chicken again which is in practically everything, I was excited. Now, reintroducing beef to him was another little win for me. The verdict? He said it was "really [insert cuss word I shouldn't type here] good!" He even had a second bite! We are looking forward to returning for more. This plaza is so cute and nice.

I'm talking about a good plate of arroz con pollo, or rice with chicken. Do I really enjoy their ACP? Yes. Do I believe that there are much better Mexican options in the area? Also yes. The convenience and location of Chupito's is its big advantage. I'm typically in on a Sunday afternoon and around that time, the dining room is always fairly empty. There is typically always one gentleman that's in at this time and he always does a great job, he comes to take my order quickly, is eager to refill my cup or chips and is attentive. Given that I'm usually the only one in, I'd certainly expect that! The food is fairly mediocre and nothing to write home about, although their ACP is certainly strong enough to warrant a repeat visit. Their version of ACP is called the Pollo Loco and it quite literally is rice, chicken and queso. Despite being a combination that you cannot possibly mess up, I'd say that Chupito's does a relatively good job with this dish. The chicken is tender and smokey, and the rice has a slight kick to it. There's definitely flavor! It is a quite expensive dish though. I've had the opportunity to try their combination plates as well. On paper, it looks super enticing, lots of food for super cheap...and that's how they get you! I've fallen for this trap a few times and each time I feel a bit underwhelmed. Whether it's a taco or a burrito or enchilada, I can always look forward to some dry chicken or an item that is way too dense with oily ground beef. Not to mention, the rice always feels kind of like it's bottom of the barrel. This is why I stick to the ACP! Overall, I'd describe Chupito's as your neighborhood Mexican restaurant. There isn't anything amazing about this place, but it is reliable and gets the job done.

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. Regardless tho, my sister had a blast, but that's entirely because she has a wonderful crew of great friends, not because of Casi Cielo.
