We had an esquisite lunch here today after a long bike ride which started at the other end of the city. This restaurant was actually located at the end of our route. We could have probably kept going but we decided to stop here instead. This restaurant was super chill, and even a few people had their dogs with them. We had just missed the breakfast time, and we instead ordered from their lunch menu. I decided on the tacos de tuétano which included salsa molcajeteada and quelites. My best friend and riding partner ordered something even bigger. The Gordita de guisado de res and it looked yummy. The food and service were outstanding and we would recommend this restaurant to all bike riders!

*** Michelin Bib Gourmand *** For my 1,500th review, why not write about my favorite Mexican restaurant that I've ever been to? Located in the trendy, upscale neighborhood of Polanco in Mexico City, Comedor Jacinta is actually the best place I've dined at in all of Mexico. To eat, the two of us split the Octopus "molcajete" in Adobo and the Bone Marrow Tacos. To drink, a Jamaica Mezcalita. Not only was the food word-class, but the drinks were some of the best I've had. Portions were generous, service was impeccable, and the ambiance was on point. If you're ever in Mexico City, definitely give this restaurant a try!

Ate dinner here tonight. Pretty average experience for vegetarian food at least. The tortilla chips were the best part, the highlight. The spicy salsa was good too. Got a glass of Tempranillo and that was good. Ordered Chile and cheese Enchilada, what come out looked like fried dumplings and were tasteless. The Chile Rellano was below average as well. The Spanish rice had zero flavor to it. The server was very friendly. decent ambiance. Not impressed with the experience. Not sure why my hotel recommended this restaurant.

Good service, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable for the area. This time we came for lunch but I also recommend their breakfast. Nice decoration all the way to their bathroom. Not too busy during lunch so I'd like to see it again at night next time. Use the valet parking as it can be difficult to find parking on your own.

The food is really delicious! We had scallops taco, ceviche, organic chicken and crab quesadillas and oh their corn chips. Service is extra friendly and attentive I highly recommend this place.

Amazing service ! Delicious food. For the taco trio the lechón and cochinita were the best. The turkey one was good too I just love pork based taco. Lime soup was light. Husband devoured the bone marrow tacos said that it was just delicious. Ambiance was nice. You can sit inside for a quiet meal (very pretty) or sit outside to see the street. PS: If you sit outside though, you might get a small number of people trying to sell you stuff or children asking for coins.

As a Mexican, I appreciated this place: its concept, its service, the variety of its food without losing the Mexican touch, its prices, and the fact that I didn't speak English and they didn't treat me differently. Bonus: they welcome you with a courtesy chicken broth, accompanied by tostadas, cream, and homemade sauce. For lunch, I had "Ensalada de camote y espinacas," Chile Relleno (de fide seco) en salsa de frijol -a big flavorful surprise! I asked for hot salsa, and they brought me a delicious roasted habanero chile sauce. I also enjoyed "Jarrito Loco" (tequila, pineapple juice, coconut cream, passion fruit, and grapefruit soda). I highly recommend it!

Highly recommend this hidden gem. Charlie our server was incredibly patient, offered plenty of suggestions and very attentive to all of our needs. The food was amazing, the decor incredible. We arrived upon arrival and it was all very quiet, as the night went on it became really dark, but quickly realizing that it was to set the mood with candles. We will be returning soon!!

Fantastic experience at comedor jacinta. Food was delicious and spoke for itself. The bone marrow tacos and flan were to die for. I wish there was more pulpo in our molcajete de pulpo. The cocktail had chapulines on top which was fun. Would definitely eat here again.

My sister found this place browsing for dinner spots for my bachelorette and when I saw the culinary experience this would be, I said we have to go. We made reservations for 9 and they took us right away. The interior of the restaurant is so cute and beautiful and the servers were very attentive. We started off by ordering drinks and they brought us housemade tostadas with salsas de San Luis Potosí and I freaking love that. All of their food is so authentic and unique, they have dishes you wouldn't even imagine have been created. The table got an assorted spread so we kind of just shared a bunch of bites. I think we ordered a little too much, but so worth it. A few of the dishes we tried were the gorditas (amazing) quesadillas de jaiba (amazing), tostadas de atún, the molcajete with beef and guacamole (amazing) filete de atún con jicama, sopa de chicharron prensada(amazing), tlayuda, un pescado en arroz (bomb) I would definitely come back. It is also in a location close to many other restaurants and bars!

Come here for the entrees: the beef tongue and the suckling pig are terrific. Melt-on-your-tongue meats, wow. Both are unmissable. The other dishes we had were just okay (the scallop tostada was great; the tuna tostada not so much - overly salty, with a predominant flavor of cilantro; we didn't care for the oxtail Gorditas either - there was a strange funk to the meat; it didn't seem spoiled, but it didn't taste delicious). Service is friendly and helpful. It's a nice neighborhood restaurant experience overall - the space is indoor/outdoor, with good people-watching opportunities, if that's your thing.

I'm so glad to have bumped into this restaurant. When I noticed the Michelin restaurant, i decided to give it a try. I had the Lima soup and tacos chicharrón and they were absolutely delicious. Everything was bursting with delicate flavors. I plan to go again before i return to NYC. This was also the most reasonably priced Michelin restaurant that I've had the pleasure of eating at. The servers are very helpful and the food arrives quickly.

We came here for a birthday party and loved the restaurant. It was beautifully decorated and got a great table overlooking the chefs. The menu was a little confusing for us Americans. The service was great and food was tasty the portions were small. We did order the chili rellenos and they were NOT Chile rellenos they were noodles shaped like a chili w maybe some chili in it. Very fancy menu where items aren't what they seem.

Bone marrow tacos. An absolute must!!!!!

I wanted to make it a point to seek out some authentic oaxacan mole, so I chose this spot that was recommended by eater.com and the Michelin guide. Had the black mole with duck breast, which was served with rice and a plantain. It was so good as the flavors were so complex and they paired really well with the perfectly cooked duck, the rice, and my fruity cocktail. On that note, I ordered one of their speciality cocktails with passionfruit and it was so good. I actually enjoyed my cocktail, made with fresh fruit, here more than the world renowned bar down the street. Also got salsa made tableside and an appetizer of pork taquitos (which, in this context, were tiny tacos). Both were flavor bombs. Overall, we are glad that we stopped by to get a sampling of very flavorful food from this restaurant and I'd definitely come back!

The interior is pretty plain, with some Oaxacan art on the walls, apparently available for purchase. We were served tortilla chips with samples of 3 moles (Negro, Coloradito and I think the 3rd was Mancha Manteles) and 2 salsas. As my wife and I primarily went to Barro Negro to sample moles, it was great that we could taste them before committing to a full entree. They were all very good and very different. If you think all moles are 'a Mexican chocolate sauce,' then you'll be surprised at the different varieties. The salsas were all very good and on the spicy side. For entree, I ordered the Mole Coloradito and my wife got the Mole Negro. Both were served with a chicken leg/thigh quarter covered in a very generous pool of mole, along with a small amount of rice and beans. For me, it was the right amount of mole (a lot!) and rice and beans (a small portion of each). The Coloradito is a sweeter mole, very smooth and rich. It was excellent. The Negro is smoky, almost burnt tasting. I happened to know that the cooking process includes burning chile seeds and adding them to the mixture. To me, it was kind of ashy and not to my taste. My wife said that she really liked it and the flavor mellows as you eat more. At any rate, if you're familiar with Mole Poblano, which is also very dark, the Oaxacan black mole is a totally different dish. As it was late, we chose not to get any dessert. The service was attentive and quick, not surprising given that the restaurant we empty. We enjoyed our food very much and highly recommend Barro Negro for sampling Oaxacan moles.

Tuscan food is unusual for us and we don't eat many of the ingredients, so our selections were a bit limited. Happily, we both found dishes that we enjoyed. My husband had chicken breast, which came with a salad snd sweet potato puree. The salad dressing was so light and lemony. I want to come back just for that. My white fish was Mediterranean in style and cooked in a sauce of cherry tomato, artichokes, olives and capers. It was delicious, but enough for two or three meals, so I took some home. Our meals came with herbed crisp breads and herb butter. They have a nice selection of teas and I absolutely loved the white tea with flower petals and lychee. Overall, a great find.
