We have been coming here for years, and still enjoy it. They were not terribly busy so ambiance was decent with little noise. I had the Beef Shawarma, and mostly liked it - though the Sumac sprinkled on top was not optimal for me. Still enjoyed the dish nonetheless and it made good leftovers the next day. Spouse had mixed grill and the filet and chicken in it were just wonderful. We had started with Fatoush salad which is a favorite of mine, along with hummus. I don't find the hummus particularly interesting, but it still complemented other dishes fine. I had a mocktail to start with passionfruit and mango - it was really great. So many mocktails out there are too sweet and not creative. This was a notable exception. Service was great and they sent us home with lots of bread to go with our leftovers. This is my favorite restaurant in Sudbury. I come regularly and sit at the bar where the bartenders are welcoming and wonderful. I get the live the anejo manhattan (not on the menu). This place is our go to when we're in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine! We love their chef kabob which consists of grilled chicken steak and ground beef w a side of rice pilaf and grilled vegetables. We also love the babaganoosh (my fav!! ) and hummus! The restaurant is bit dark and moody, making it for a perfect date night w drinks. Even though this place comes off "grown ups only vibe" We love bringing our kids to this restaurant because the staff is super kind and accommodating which is always a +++ its like a perfect place for a date night with or without kids w solid food and service every time! Ambiance, decor and seating was very comfortable, inviting and clean. Our server Patrick was quick to check on us and serve pita bread with savory oil for dipping. He mentioned the restaurants favorite dishes and gave us space to look at the menu without rushing. We ask about Mocktail choices since there weren't any listed on the menu. He gave us a few choices and was willing to make anything we wished. I ordered their Sangria which was delicious and my daughter ordered a Mojito Mocktail which was ok. Appetizer we got the Rakakat, filo dough stuffed with spiced Feta Cheese. This was interesting and savory. For meals I got the chicken kabob and my daughter ordered the Lebanese Chicken Fatteh. The kabob & veggies was so delicious and cooked to perfection. The Fatteh was an interesting dish with yogurt and chick peas. I would highly recommend this business and look forward to coming back with my husband. This restaurant is within a strip mall which has TJ Maxx and some other businesses. We just returned from a wonderful evening having dinner tonight@ El Basha in Sudbury. It is a very comfortable and beautifully lit Lebanese restaurant. As always, the food never disappoints... we had delicious baba ghanouj, tabouli salad, and chicken kebabs with rice and grilled vegetables. On top of that, we loved their pita bread with their delicious oil. Everything was seasoned perfectly and wonderfully cooked. We decided to end the night with a delicious serving of baklava filled with pistachios and a dollop of whipped cream. But... not only was the food delicious, the wait staff was fabulous. We had 2 wonderful waitresses, Rebecca and Marina, who were so attentive to our needs and did a great job of serving our courses. In addition, they made the effort to answer questions for us, like, what was the name of the oil used for dipping the pita bread. Both women did a great job of explaining the food, serving and cleaning up... in addition to being engaging in conversation with us. We can hardly wait to go back. Our dinner was a memorable one tonight and we look forward to returning with friends of ours in the near future!!! I called in an order for my family over the Thanksgiving weekend. I had to call twice in order for someone to even take my requests three days before I needed. I called when the restaurant opened on the day I was to pick up my order to ensure that everything was correct. when the food was picked up and brought to the house not only was the order short 4 meals and we had to return to the restaurant for more food. This place always hits the spot. It is located right off rt 20 in Sudbury, found in a shopping complex. Probably my favorite place to eat in the area. The dining room is pretty small, and there is a bar with probably 12-14 seats. Its probably a good idea to make a reservation. This is one of those places I order from or go to when I want to feel good, to reward myself and just have a nice experience. We ordered the full Lebanese dinner for 2..... it was delicious and was plenty of food for the two of us! The beef was cooked perfectly, and the baklava when it came was so good and warm ( we ate it so fast that there wasn't time for pictures...... and we were very full already!) We walked in, told the man behind the bar that we had a reservation, he was very frienand were offered our choice of seats. After a few minutes the hostess came over and nervously said she would be our server. She took our take our drink order;. I ordered the 'Manhattan Goes Hollywood' cocktail and my wife ordered a soft drink. She didn't speak good English and didn't seem familiar with the menu. My drink arrived on the rocks (a manhattan is served, up and did not taste any tequila (the liquor of the cocktail), it tasted like grenadine and bitters. I send the drink back and asked for a gin martini. The drink was served, up, the hostess asked me to taste it on the spot. I tasted it and didn't taste any gin, I tried to explain to her but just decided to skip it. When she took our order, it was clear she didn't know how to differentiate between courses, and walked away without taking my order, had to call her back. The hostess didn't write down our order and it was clear she had never served tables before. The man who first greeted us (white shirt, no beard), made it a show of greeting the two tables on either side of us, but did not acknowledge us once the entire evening. It was obvious that he told the hostess to wait on us because he did not want to. Made loud exaggerated jovial greetings to the tables next to us, as if to make a point by ignoring us. My wife's entree was delayed and another employee with a ponytail came over and apologized for the mistake and seemed to genuinely care. The hostess did her best considering the circumstances as well. The food was actually quite good; it's a shame we will never patronize them again. In conclusion, a woman and her wife (who happens to be transsexual) were flat out ignored by the lead server and/or manager and the other man with a beard in a suit who appeared to be a manager. They gave me two cocktails that did not contain any alcohol. They charged us $17 for Hendrix gin that was never poured. Lastly, we had a similarly bad experience at the El Basha in Westborough; so it seems this chain is quite transphobic and/or homophobic. To the point they basically did everything they could to hint that we were not welcome including stealing from their customers. read more

Really good Mediterranean food. Falafel was crispy and just the right hint of bitter, salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. We each had a different shawarma (beef for me, chicken for my partner), and both were *very* tasty. Great depth of flavor that only comes from a long bath in a good marinade, combined with good cooking and a great sauce. Also worth noting, my partner has a gluten allergy. Most of the menu was available to her, and they have separate fryers. They do not currently have a GF pita, but plan to get one soon. Service was great, our food was slow coming out of the kitchen, but it just felt like a slower European style service rather than an actual issue. Both my partner and I are used to that, so it didn't bother us, but maybe take note. Andrew was a fun bartender and made the whole thing feel smooth. The interior is nice. This was hands down the best Middle Eastern food could I have had. And for the record, I'm Israeli. So I know how to make this stuff. My wife had a bad experience once with grape leaves. I was blown away with this place the second I walked in. I couldn't believe a restaurant this nice has been 2 miles from our house. We usually go to the coach grille which is amazing, but that's place was a breath of fresh air and a modern style, playing up-to-date music. The food was delicious and there's so many options to choose from. They had fancy cocktails on the menu, but I stick to my dirty martini which still was great If you need a get away from the Weston/Wayland regular restaurants, this place is updated and served with great food! We've wanted to try this place for a while based on the generally positive reviews. We came on a Saturday right at opening time, empty dining room. A host named Andrew proceeds to tell us that they are fully booked up and that they could not seat us without a reservation. We go online, which shows plenty of available reservations, so we make one. Andrew proceeds to tell us that they're going to cancel it on their end, because apparently there are no tables available. This is as we're looking at a completely empty dining room. So, we left. Not sure why they would want to turn away people, but that's what happened. read more

Stopped to get takeout tonight ..... it was good....not great. Ordered the hummus, grape leaves, mixed grill and beef kabobs. The grape leaves were good - stuffed and tasty. Hummus was decent, a bit bland. The pita that came with it was either stale and old or a type of pita I am not familiar with. It was terrible and if I wasn't so hungry I would have passed. The beef kabobs were good and tasty nice quality beef and the mixed grill chicken and shawarma (sp?)was also similar in taste and quality. A bit shy on the veggies. Standard Mediterranean food, nothing special, but what makes me leave a review is the price trickery. The waiter mentioned to us that the prices had gone up "slightly" since the menu was last printed. Well ok, we're already here, so. However some items turned out to be 20% more, like the falafel which was on the menu at $10 for 3 was now $12 for 3. We ordered one entree, 3 small plates, and 2 beers. Everything was 10-20% higher. I don't expect or require food to be cheap, and shame on me for not insisting on a list of updated prices. But who wants to start dinner off like that?
