Chicken Kabob

Top quality food. The chicken kabob was great. Place was very clean as well. Would go again.

The lamb chops were great. The kebabs are ok too. The Mirza Ghasemi was so-so. The prices are on the more costly side.

The place is family owned and was a nice ambiance. The service was quick and easy but the food was a bit pricey. I liked the food very much but the lamb was very chewy. I would recommend coming here but wouldn't get the lamb.

Been here a few times and will come back! It's authentic, delicious and the portions are generous for the price. Looks like a family owned business. We usually order the Kabob which is tender, juicy and not dry! We also love ordering the hummus, it's fresh and delicious unlike store bought ones. The Lamb shank was delicious and juicy as well. I'd call about 15-20 mins. in advance during weekend evenings since it takes time to cook the food fresh and they seem busy with other take out orders.

Me and family personally enjoyed the beef barg and chicken barg the most giving it 8.5/10. The chicken and beef koobideh were still amazing as well probably around 7.5/10 for me. The wings were very crispy along with the falafel as well and were freshly made. Service overall was great, had a great Iranian server who was very quick and hospitable the whole entire time. Food is HALALl which is the best part and staff and team were great throughout and quick with the service.

For dinner we ordered 2 Beef Koobideh dinners, the Falafel plate and an additional Shiraz salad. The beef Koobideh was tender, juicy and flavorful and the rice was perfectly cooked. A shaker of sumac was on the table for adding to the Koobideh. The falafel were also flavorful and cooked perfectly, light and not dry. The accompanying sauce was enjoyed with the falafel and pita bread. Service was attentive and not intrusive. When we asked about the wines, the bottles were brought to the table. We enjoyed the white wine from Crete and the Greek red wine. The restaurant is in a small shopping plaza with tables, hightops and bar seating. There was soft background music, so we were able to have conversation. Parking available in the lot in front of the restaurant and on the street. We look forward to returning and trying other items on the menu!

Unfortunately, my first experience did not reflect the many positive reviews. When I walked in, the first thing I was asked was "pickup?" I politely said no, that I wanted to place an order. I had to repeat myself several times, and the older woman at the counter either seemed frustrated, distracted, or maybe just having a rough day. There was little direction given to a first-time customer, and I found myself awkwardly trying to figure out where the menu board was and how the ordering process worked. Eventually, I stepped aside to look over the menu. The older woman continued helping the customers in front of me, which was completely understandable. What confused me was that the younger employee made eye contact with me, nodded toward me as if acknowledging I needed help, then asked if anyone had helped me yet. I explained that the other employee was probably about to, but needed a moment. Before I could even finish, she cut me off and said, "Oh, she can help you then," and immediately went back to scrolling on her phone while I continued standing there waiting. That was the disappointing part for me. If you ask who's next at the register, acknowledge someone is waiting, and another employee is already busy helping others, it creates a poor first impression when the available employee chooses not to assist and instead goes back to their phone. It came across as a lack of urgency and customer service. Maybe it was just an off day. I'm not writing this to attack the business because the food may very well be excellent, and clearly many people love this place. But first impressions matter, especially for new customers walking in excited to try your establishment for the first time. I truly hope the service experience improves because I wanted to like this place a lot more than I did today.

Pros: - pleasant, light-filled (full length glass on all…read moresides of dining area) ambiance - outdoor seating, albeit on rather noisy intersection - pretty good service - grape leaves were very good - grilled meats were decently prepared, tender not dry/overcooked Cons: - grilled meats were underseasoned/bland, probably in accordance with local palates - parking is a nightmare, as one would expect for Mass Avenue; non-issue if you live nearby and walk or bike instead of driving - they give you GINORMOUS piles of rice with most dishes, literally 2-3 times what most places give you. This is great if you're a famished carb-fiend; for the rest of us, expect to take most of that rice home. - all the rice made me sleepy so I ordered black coffee which turned out to be horrible: just black water with barely any coffee flavor at all...beware! I've had better instant coffee than that. - both rice and meats were sorely lacking in oil and fat, again likely another reflection of local palates It wasn't the worst "mediterranean" food I've ever had, but hardly the best. Doubt I'll be coming back, especially given the horrendous parking situation.

Sort of like your grandma's kitchen? But toasty warm, yes! Service - good, pretty prompt. It took a few minutes to bring the order to the table, which I took as a sign it was made to order, almost. Food - ok, but quite bland. The best thing in the stew was the preserved lemon or lime. Wow! Price/ value - disappointing. Paying 3USD for a hot tea, and then when offered more, it showed up on the bill as 6USD. Really? It comes out of the one tea pot/ diluted with hot water. The side of some pita w/butter was gratis. Would I come back? Not sure. On the check was the name Molana, which was the Persian place in Wtown Sq. The owner wanted to retire, but decided to take over the defunct Shiraz Persian Cuisine. Now it's just opened as Caspian Persian Cuisine. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like Molana took over all Persian restaurants in Wtown. Perhaps my expectations were wrong - I had in mind a sort of kebob/shawarma/souvlaki/gyros menu at really good prices. Maybe with Trumpflation, those days are long since gone
